Regular Member TedGroves Posted March 21, 2004 Regular Member Share Posted March 21, 2004 Toppik isn't a bad deal. A little expensive, but I don't know how long a can lasts. I decided to give it a shot last week after learning of a local salon that carries it. It covers my thinning crown spot very nicely. It's a little trickier in the front, but after a couple of tries you get the hang of it. It does make a big improvement -- gives the impression of a full head of hair, or at least close, especially if you've had a recent HT or have decent core hair existing. It does make the hair look thicker and made me look quite different. You wouldn't think the change would be so drastic, but it's amazing what covering, or appearing to cover, even a receding hairline, can make, as evidenced by the successful transplants. It really does take years off. I'll continue to use Toppik until the transplants grow in (nearly 4 months now) and perhaps may keep up afterward on the crown and maybe for thickness in the front. One thing I don't like is Toppik, as good as it is, is nontheless just a band aid. It doesn't replace a good HT but can certainly enhance one. Good product. Just thought I'd mention the experience. Senior Member MDM Posted March 22, 2004 Senior Member Share Posted March 22, 2004 Ted, The only thing that I would recommend is that you ask someone that you trust if one can easily see the toppik on your head. Just trying to save you some possible embarassment. Good growth!
