Senior Member hairbank Posted June 7, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted June 7, 2006 Eagle, I believe the theory for starting Propecia before having a HT is to start "strengthening" your MPB susceptible hair so that it will not be permanently shocked out after a HT. I did not start Propecia until immediately after my 2nd HT so I can't say for sure what difference it would have made. Most of my shocked hair seems to have returned. After my first HT I had substantial shock loss of which maybe 50% returned so I wish I had tried it then. Any information I share here is in an effort to help those who don't like hair loss.
