Senior Member Abby Posted June 14, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted June 14, 2008 How much hair can one really expect to grow through the scar area. Im 9 weeks post op and very little growth has appeared. Is there a possiblility to expect more growth as time passes to reduce the scar appearance???? Senior Member Dewayne Posted June 14, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted June 14, 2008 I doubt it would grow through the scar in just 9 weeks. I have the same closure and I'm 3 months. I suspect it will take a little longer for that hair, but I'm not sure. Anyway, some of those scars at the 1 year mark are virtually undetectable and I suppose it's partly because some hair has grown through. 100? Senior Member MrJobi Posted June 15, 2008 Senior Member Share Posted June 15, 2008 Take a look at some of the coalition doctors websites. They have photo's of T closure post op 1 year , etc.. some are amazing and have very limited visibility. Bill - Seemiller
Abby, Everyone is absolutely correct - 9 weeks is far too early to assess the final result of the scar. In fact, it's one of the worst times given the extra inflammation and possible donor area shock loss. Be sure to read the replies on your other thread very related to this one. Best wishes, Bill
