Senior Member nobuzz4me Posted February 7, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted February 7, 2007 Treat your new hair normally, it is safe now. Make sure the clippers are sharp to reduce the pulling effect. Even if a hair is pulled out the follicle is safe. NoBuzz

Guest bro66
I buzzed my hair with a #1 guard two weeks after my HT, the same day i got my stitches removed. I think it helps the scar heal faster, and easier to apply the aloe and vitamin E if there's not a lot of long hair around it. I'm planning to keep my hair buzzed until the all graphs start growing, hopefully within the next 7 months.
Bill - Seemiller
Johnno, Everyone's advice is sound...you have been safe to buzz your hair for quite some time now. I buzzed the donor area only 4 days after the HT, though I did wait 1 month to buzz the recipient area. It would have been safe before that, but this was personal preference. have fun! Senior Member the B spot Posted February 8, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted February 8, 2007 I went a step ahead--- BEFORE my strip was taken, I had Dr. Shapiro buzz about 1/2 inch above and below so I did not have to worry about this. Of course, I looked a TAD scary, but I did not have to worry about the staples yanking my hair when the staples came out!!!!!! I had a PLAN!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry Guys, LONG day at work.......
