recipient area feels warm

Hi,

 

I'm only 3 days post op, but when I place my hand close to the top of my recipient area, it feels warm...is this normal? I am on antibiotics and otherwise feel great.

You will feel a host of odd sensations over the next couple months. Tingling, pain, pinching, and others are compeltely normal. Unless, there is blood or longing pain I would not be too concerned

As Mrjb said - expect to experience a number of sensations as the donor area is healing. The warmth is most likely due to the increased blood supply to the area. You are only 3 days postop. It is going to take a good amount of time to heal.

Agreed guys...........the recipient site is likely to feel "funny" for some time. Everyone heals differently. I think for me to even have much feeling at all took at least a few weeks, maybe a month.

 

I wouldn't worry too much, just give some time to heal and go from there.
