Senior Member Hairfree Posted March 11, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted March 11, 2007 Hi! I have a question for anyone out there with experience in HT or with Dr. Rahal. I have some hair in front 1/3 and I am getting the strip with Rahal on April 4th. Can he work around the existing hair on the front 1/3 or will he have to shave it off? I am afraid for them to shave my head because if it is shaved then it would be very very noticable with I return to work in 7 days. Is it a choice that I have? HAIRFREE DR. Senior Member MrJobi Posted March 11, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted March 11, 2007 Hi Hairfree There are docs who not not shave you..Not sure about Rahal but you should give him a call. Some prefer to shave the recepiant area but others do not.. I have the same situation as you and cannot go back to work shaved JOBI 1417 FUT - Dr. True 1476 FUT - Dr. True 2124 FUT - Dr. True 604 FUE - Dr. True My views are based on my personal experiences, research and objective observations. Senior Member NervousNelly Posted March 11, 2007 Senior Member Share Posted March 11, 2007 I don't know if you saw my response on your other thread, but I had stated that with 3000-3500 FU that you are going for, likely 7 days will not be enough for things to be unnoticeable. Also, with that size of a session isolated to the frontal area, it is very likely that Dr. Rahal will shave your existing hair. I am finding that most top docs want/need to shave when performing that large of a session in the frontal area. It seems like the magic figure is 2200 or less and they will leave the hair. Ofcourse most docs will work with you on things so if you tell him that there is no way you will allow him to shave things he might come up with a different plan. Best to call him.
