Guest
Hello Guys, I was just wondering. Are you able to wear a hat after having a HT done? I wasn't sure if this would interfer with the healing or the grafts. Thanks

Senior Member tkerr22 Posted August 30, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted August 30, 2006 I waited a week to wear a hat and when i did it was a very loose fitting one. My doc told me that your new hairs are pretty well in good after 4 days. Plus was still pretty fresh and didn't want the new grafts to stick to the hat and get ripped out My Hair Loss Weblog
Guest
absolutely. In fact my doctor preferred it. No limitations whatsoever unless its a Red Sox hat. That can reduce your yield considerably

Regular Member daytrader Posted August 31, 2006 Regular Member Share Posted August 31, 2006 I wore one almost everyday after mine. I bought some saran wrap, sprayed the cleansing spray Dr. Cooley gave me and put the saran wrap over my grafts just protect them. That may have not been necessary but he recommended it and it was easy,I only did that for about the first week.
Senior Member Gorpy Posted August 31, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted August 31, 2006 I wore a hat. If you are careful, you can place it on the head so that it doesn't touch the grafts. It is only touching the forehead in front of the grafts. ____________ 2700 Total Grafts w/ Keene 9/28/05 663 one's = 663 1116 two's = 2232 721 three's = 2163 200 four's = 800 Hair Count = 5858 1000 Total Grafts w/Keene 2/08/07 Mostly combined FU's for 2600+ hairs My Photo Album See me at Dr. Keene's Gallery
Senior Member Jotronic Posted August 31, 2006 Senior Member Share Posted August 31, 2006 There is nothing wrong with wearing a hat right after surgery. We even give you a brand new one when you walk out the door after surgery. It's a fairly nice ballcap too. You just need to be careful with it.
