FUE stands for Follicular Unit Extraction. Basically, this is different from the traditional HT in that normally, a long strip of hair is removed from the back or sides and then sectioned into follicular units (FUs). In FUE, there is no large scale removal per se, but rather individual FUs are selectively removed one by one, leaving no long scar. This is the advantage. The disadvantage is that it is extremely time consuming, and therefore extremely costly as well.

I believe FIT is similar or identical, but is just a different term for the same thing. I don't remember exactly what that stands for, though.

Hope that answers it for you.

Thanks Jo.

I knew I had seen it before, but ever since Dr. Rose took that chunk out of my head, I've had all sorts of memory problems. I wonder if he scooped out some brain matter along with the skin!?! Just kidding, of course. I don't want to scare any newcomers to the board.
