I recently read on Dr. Fellers' website that he is working on using body hair as donor for those who dont have sufficient donor supply on their head. Ive read about this before, but I didn't know any reputable doctors (especially coalition docs) actually performed this. Does anyone know if this is really a viable option? Ive never had a ht, and Im sure I have enough donor on the back and sides of my head; but I just think it is a great new development after one has used up all of their donor supply. So, anyone know about this?

Keep in mind that "working on" is different than offering as a viable option. Some of our coalition doctors have been experimenting with it and testing it's reliability. To date there isn't a lot of consistency.

BHT's have been occasionally done for several years already. But the results remain inconsistent (and also very un-cost-effective).

 

I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. Better medical treatments for scalp hair loss will probably hit the market sooner than BHTs would have ever become very reliable & common.
