🧿🧿🧿 Hi All, I just had my beard transplant 6 days ago on July 16, 2022 in Amman, Jordan by Dr. Taleb Barghouthi at Vertex Hair clinic. I would like to thank this forum for helping me make a well informed decision that could potentially change my life in near future. I have a long scar on right side of face and never knew that beard transplant was a possibility to hide the scar. I have been suffering from this since last 20 years and Dr. Taleb was godsend to me in helping me with this procedure. After thoroughly researching this forum, and reaching out to many members who have had a similar procedure done for beard, I reached out to Dr. Taleb and he has been very patient, kind and down to earth person. He answered all my queries in most timely manner. The whole process was seamless, and the whole team at Vertex Hair Clinic has been nothing short of exemplary. I would like to thank the nurses/techs Suma and Hamza for making me feel so much at ease and the receptionist Hala who is the main coordinator and keeps track of all your needs while you are in Amman. I did not have any inconvenience while staying at Amman and the whole set up there is just perfect for someone travelling from overseas. I was travelling from Canada and was quite nervous at first but the whole team made it an incredible experience for me. 🧿🧿🧿 Details regarding my surgery: I am 32 years old male, FUE procedure done from scalp to beard. My main concern was to hide the scar by implanting hair follicles on it and around to increase density. Dr. Taleb understood my concerns and provided assurance that this can be easily covered. The procedure had to be repeated on both sides of the face to keep symmetry. Around 550 grafts were extracted from back of scalp, but considering that only singles and doubles are preferred to be used, they trimmed all 3 and 4 hair grafts into singles and doubles. A total of 1589 hairs were transplanted on both cheeks. 🧿🧿🧿 Surgical details: Total : 986 single and double grafts (trimmed from 550 grafts) 1's 383 2's 603 Total: 1589 hairs Average 1.61 hairs/graft Sites made using 0.9 mm and 1.4 mm Sapphire blades. The surgery itself went very smoothly. Dr Taleb was very gentle and took his time with the extractions and incisions. I am really hoping for good dense coverage over my scar area as this will have 360 degree change in my life. I will post my progress with pictures over the next few months. Hoping that scar will be hardly noticeable due to hair coverage. Here are some pics from last few days: Please provide your comments and advise me on my post operative care regimen that I can improve on. Scared area Pic (right side of the face) Pre-Operation Planning Immediately Post-Op DAY 2 - Post Op DAY 3 - POST OP DAY 5 - POST OP DAY 6 - POST OP : I am a bit concerned about these tracks/canals forming in between scabs. Are these normal? I do not want to lose any grafts or compromise density in final results. 🧿🧿🧿 Please comment on the post operative pics. I sprayed with saline solution for first 5 days. Today was the day 6 post op. There is lots of crusting and I have been shampooing daily with baby shampoo with gentle dabbing. Should I add anything more to the regimen to help with crusting to go off? I am also getting these canals forming on the right side of the face and I am worried about these as well. They tend to show empty areas like there are no hair implants there. Please advise on what else I can do. 🧿🧿🧿

I spent a couple of weeks last year looking for the best doctor in the region for a beard and hair transplant. Traveling abroad was on the table until my cousin recommended Dr. Taleb Barghouthi in Amman. After reading more about him and seeing at the results from previous patients, I decided to schedule a consultation appointment. That was when the journey began and I would like to think about it as a three-step process: 1) Consultation , 2) Surgery and 3) Results. Consultation: When I first visited Dr. Barghouthi’s Vertex clinic I had so many questions; specifically regarding the beard as I was nervous about the aftermath of the surgery on my face. Dr. Barghouthi walked me through the process step-by-step, addressed all of questions and showed me the results of previous patients. When we reached to the point of discussing my hair-transplant, he asked me all the relevant questions about my age and family history. After examining my hair-loss pattern he recommended that I wait for another 1-2 years before I do a hair transplant as he wanted to make sure the pattern stays the same and does not extend to the donor area. I was really surprised as most of the doctors I consulted with recommended that I do it immediately. Based on his recommendation I decided to schedule a surgery for my beard and follow-up with him frequently over the next year for my hair. Looking back now I strongly believe that was the best scenario which guaranteed better results and a more informed decision. Last week and after 1.5 years I did my hair transplant at Vertex and I will be sharing the results once it starts showing in a different post. Surgery: I was very well prepared of the surgery due to the detailed instructions I received over the previous weeks. The surgery went very well, as Dr. Barghouthi performs and oversees every step of the surgery and has a fantastic team of nurses and supporting staff. Results: I will let the pictures speak for themselves; the results of ~1,400 FUE after 6 months and after 1.5 years (the last two pictures were taken last week during my hair transplant surgery). I strongly recommend Vertex and Dr. Barghouthi to any patient who is looking for great results and a flawless process.

Hello everyone, I would like to share my hair transplant experience! I am 26 yo, living and working in Jordan, Amman. I started suffering from androgenic Alpoecia 4 years ago, and noticed generalized hair thinning with prominent balding at the crown region. I decided to do a hair transplant last year, and started the journey by looking for the best clinics in the region, lots of people told me about Turkey, however I was hesitant about going there for personal reasons, so i started looking for a clinic here in Jordan, and a friend recommended vertex hair clinic, long story short, I went there and met with dr Taleb, he saw my case, examined my scalp and thinning hair, and addressed all my questions and worries. eventually, i booked for the surgery on the 14th and 15th of march 2020, and received the pre-surgery instructions. The surgery extended over 2 sessions , each session was around 7 hours including rest, and lunch. The surgery went very smoothly, but the worse thing was the local anesthesia, it was so painful, otherwise I was comfortable and in fact enjoyed my time chit-chatting with Dr Taleb and his lovely staff. overall rating: Clinic: Amazing atmosphere, very elegant decoration, and the music is very nice Location: The clinic is located in Abdoun, a very nice neighborhood in Amman, parking is available. Staff: professional, and very friendly. I am writing this thread on the 14th of september 2020, 6 months exactly after the hair transplant, i received one PRP session, and I was on minoxidil 5% and finasteride 1mg for the past 5 months. check attached picture for surgery day hair, and 6 month after surgery, doctor Taleb said its 50% of the results, so I am really expecting a great result in the upcoming 6 months. one nice thing i noticed is the donor area, it healed very well, no scaring at all. That's my story in a nutshell, I am really satisfied with the results, and hopefully better results are yet to come. will keep you updated.
