Just checking in to say I had 2910 Grafts with Resul Yaman Clinic in Istanbul 2 days ago 20th June 2019.
Everything so far going well, the clinic staff and Doctor himself was very professional and courteous and were helpful in every way.
It's abviously early days but I had my first wash this morning and will have another tomorrow before I travel back to Ireland Monday.
See pics below, fingers crossed it will start to grow now, not back to work until begining of July so praying all the redness will go and the hair will grow back to a respectable length.
Please note that I had two previous procedure s, one FUT in Ireland and another FUE in Istanbul 5years ago, got good results but wanted to go to a clinic that show amazing results, that's why I picked Resul Yaman Clinic.
Hopefully all will go well.
I'll post pics on day 10 so to show if scans and redness progress.
Hello everyone, My name is Matt and i am new to this forum.
I've been losing hair for 4 years and i decided to go something about it, so i decided to go to turkey in order to do the surgery, however I literally have no idea about this industry. I made some research online but i was hoping to get some valuable feedback from the people that are quite involved in Hair Transplant. So, i got few questions and i hope that you would help me out understand those points.
I am interested in FUE technology for the surgery
1) What's the most important step of the surgery (incisions, extraction, or implementation) ?
Because as i contact several clinic each one of them provide a different package. Some of them mentioned that the doctor would do the incision and the transplant while others mentioned other packages. So i want to know which is important and should be preformed by the doctor ?
2) Which one is more efficient Micro motor FUE or Manual FUE ? And which one does the minimum amount of recognisable scars
3) I contacted several doctors in turkey and would really appreciate it if you can provide me with some review or feedback on the ones that you know or had a previous experience with.
A) Dr Aslan Musbeh which suggested 2800-3300 grafts.
B) Dr Erkan Demisoy which suggested 3500-4000 grafts.
C) Dr Tayfun Oguzoglu which sounded really impressive and knowledgeable which suggested 3600 grafts.
D) Dr Resul Yaman which also sounded impressive with the tool that he invented which suggested 3700 grafts.
E) Dr Ali Karadeniz which suggested 5000 grafts however he would only be doing the incision only and supervising the rest.
4) What should i consider when picking one of the well reputed doctors that are mentioned above ?
Lastly, Appreciate you reading this thread and providing the help
This forum was instrumental in forming my decisions to go for hair transplant. I have been losing hair since I was 17-18 and it is/was a major reason for my insecurities. Even though I have mixed feelings about the results but the peace of mind this process brought me is indescribable. I am grateful to all of you.
I had lost most of my hair in crown and hairline area, I went for FUE for 4800 strands in January of 2016 (>2 years ago) with Resul Yaman in Istanbul. Here are some of the highlights of my experience.
Overall I do think that the doctor and staff were professional and tried to make the process pleasant.
It is Painful. This is something I have not seen discussed here often but OMG is this procedure painful. Pain form all those local anesthesia injections that have to cover your entire head makes me very hesitant to consider this again.
Results I think the job done on my hairline was impressive but at the same time results on my crown area were less than pleasant. As you can see from the pictures I looked like I was doing a comb over because how barren my crown area was. If I was to give it a rating, I would rate it as a B- overall.
Whats next I am considering for going again for second round to cover the crown area a bit more but I am worried that my donor area might have been over-harvested. I would greatly appreciate if you guys can give your thoughts about this.
First 3 are from before the surgery and next 6 are quite recent. with last one trying to highlight my donor area.
Is there anyone on here who is a former patient of Dr. Resul Yaman in Turkey?
If so, could you please contact me so that I could ask a few questions?
I have been researching FUE for some time now and am considering Dr. Yaman. I know he comes positively recommended, but I would be interested to speak with former patients who have gone through a full recovery (more than six months or one year) since their surgery. The ability to speak directly with someone would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
