Hi everyone, i'm sharing this because I'm feeling blue and I don't really trust my clinic any longer...it's a Clinic in Spain and I'll share the name after 18 months, whether the results will be good or bad. This is the situation. When I underwent puberty, 20 years ago, my forehead assumed a very weird shape, due to some issues related with hormones and maxillar development. Needless to say, it created a lot of discomfort every time I was swimming, or even walking on a windy day. Last year then I found a clinic which was offering HT at a very good price. It was a case of forehead lowering, and the doctor said my case was an easy one. She said she would transplant 2000 follicles in my temples, but there's no knowing now. Anyway, I'm posting here the results after 7 months. No wonder I'm quite sad about it. She says that it's evolving well, but a bit slowly, and she suggested taking Minoxidil, which was never on the table and I'd rather not take, because I never suffered from alopecia, and I know it might have a rebound effect of I stopped taking it. What I 've noticed is that the transplanted hair basically stopped growing in February or March, and I don't know if it's because I'm a slow grower (I'm 42) or this is more or less what it's going to be. What do you guys think? And what about the minoxidil? thanks
It's been 8 months since my surgery and I have no sign of regrowth. Does that mean that it didn't work or is there still time? If it didn't work can I expect money back / another transplant for free? Many thanks for any help.
Hi,I'm Joe,I'm 29, and i'm ashamed to say i'v been taken advantage by a deceptive surgeon who shall not be named ( but is a coalition member) twice! shame on me, right?, anyways,First of all I'm not blaming anyone here, just because i mentioned that he is a coalition member, does not mean i'm blaming this website, or i'm going to reveal his identity.. here is my story, i began noticing my receding hair line at 25! but did not think about surgery much, and i choose the medication instead. rogaine, Propecia, nioxen, and cold lasers which you sit underneath it for about 30 minutes 3 times a week, to prevent hair loss and it cost about $2000 for a six month period.i did that 3 times, But i did not see any results that improved my situation..so, i decided to consult a surgeon. so when i spoke to this doctor, i told him that i'm considering it and he said " it's a guarantee and after the FUE which he charged more then any doctor before him that i consulted, he said that i need about 1600 grafts. (in reality i needed about 3600) but he didn't say that, or wouldn't say it because of his business, ( it will obviously ruin the second surgery bookings) so like a moron i listened to his pretty secretary (undercover car salesmen), and book the surgery, which was on march of 2011....he perform the surgery and about 7 to eight months later around october, that's when i noticed i'm not seeing any results.., i contacted him and "BOOM" i'm gonna have to do a second surgery according to him ( we'll call him a glorified butcher) this time, 1200 grafts.., that was done..., so here i am about a year later, No results and it looks like i'm balding, I'm sad, disappointed, hurt, and i dont know what to say.., so i decied to post pictures and ask everyone if they could please be kind enough to give me an advice, on how to handle this... Question number one: am i good candidate? If i get repair surgery, will it fail again? q2: how does the repair surgery work? do they take out the grafts and add new grafts, or do they just add more grafts? i appreciate you taking the time and reading this. thanks
