Just had an FUT HT on 7/26/19 with Dr Scott Alexander in Phoenix, AZ. I'm 46 years old and after MUCH research, almost 2 years worth, I decided Dr Alexander would be the perfect doctor to perform my HT.
From the very first consultation with Dr A I felt very comfortable and NEVER pressured. His staff from day one were always very warm and made me feel at ease. They let me take this at my own pace and were always very open and willing to answer my questions along the way. I had my wife along in the 2nd consultation, almost a year later, she also felt extremely comfortable with Dr Alexander and his staff, so I decided the time was right to move forward.
Their front office is warm yet private and the surgical area is what you would expect it to be, very clean, organized and sterile. The surgery itself went down like clockwork. From all of my research it was everything I expected almost to the letter with no surprises. I'd have to say that from process, comfort level, professionalism, and expertise of Dr Alexander and his team I'd give them an A+.
Now results...Only time will tell but I feel great about the surgery and will be posting photos and updates as things progress....
One other mention of credit needs to be given. I have to thank Spex for helping me through this entire process up to the surgery and now beyond. He has answered all my questions (hundreds) and has been nothing short of a freaking hero to all the ppl, including me, that are flipping out about losing their hair and not knowing what to do. Thanks, Spex
Pics coming soon...
This 35 year old patient came to Dr. Keene to restore his front hair line. Since he likes to wear his hair buzz cut, he chose FUE for his donor removal method. There is no completely scarless donor removal method, but FUE blends better with buzz cut hair than FUT, especially in someone with high color contrast, so FUE was chosen. These photos are from before and 8 months after. Some patients take longer to grow in but he appears to have his complete growth. Now that he has turned back the clock on his hair loss, he remains on Finasteride to help stop further hair loss.
Here is the graft break down:

Dr. Friedman performed a FUT on a 46 year old male, Norwood VI, who desired frontal restoration. Dr. Friedman artistically redesigned patient’s hair line working his way back to the crown. Dr. Friedman successfully transplanted 3,694 grafts. 1,238 single follicles were placed in patient’s hairline, temples and temple peaks; 2,456 group follicles were placed in patient’s frontal region, midscalp and anterior midscalp. Dr. Friedman used custom blades and strategically placed each follicular unit at the correct angle and direction creating the patient’s transplanted grafts to grow in a natural pattern. One transplant on Norwood class VI gives the patient an appearance of just beginning to thin. Dr. Friedman informed the patient that Norwood class VI typically needs 2 procedures to fill all areas of concern.
Photos show patient pre-op and 9 months post op. After surgery, patient followed up with 10 sessions of low-level laser therapy to support the healing process by increasing blood flow to the transplanted areas. With Dr. Friedman’s recommendation, patient decided to start using low-level laser therapy as his hair loss prevention.

This male patient is in his forties and had a total of 3,533 grafts placed. 600 of those grafts were single hair grafts placed in the anterior hair line bilaterally and temples bilaterally. He had 2,933 grafts placed in the bilateral frontal region, bilateral mid-scalp and bilateral vertex. He is extremely happy with his results and strongly considering another surgery to add density.
