This 33-year-old gentleman had a transplant a few years ago at another clinic to increase the density of his frontal hairline. After the procedure, he felt that the hairline was not straight with the left side higher then the right side. After a thorough consultation, both the patient and I designed his desired hairline that he felt was straight and would balance the left and right sides appropriately. He desired more hair on the left side, but also wanted to augment the entire frontal hairline. We transplanted 1238 grafts into the first couple centimeters with a greater emphasis on the

This patient is a 37-year old transgender female who desired to feminize her frontal hairline. Prior to the transplant, she had deep frontotemporal angles and a higher hairline then she wanted. 3166 follicular unit grafts were obtained via the strip FUT method and transplanted into the frontal zone with the goal of lowering her hairline, filling in the frontotemporal angles, and feminizing her overall appearance. The photographs depict her progress at 1 month, 2 months, 3 months (home photos), and at 7 months when she returned to the office. She is extremely excited with the results

This patient is a 32-year-old gentleman who is a Norwood Class VI. He likes to shave his scalp. Therefore, we discussed performing a full scalp Tricopigmentation to give him the appearance of full hair density, but with a shaved look. He was not interested in surgery at this time. The patient had 3 sessions to give him the desired appearance. The first and second pass are on consecutive days, and the last pass is about 4 – 6 weeks after. The photographs were taken after we touched up the frontal hairline. He is extremely happy with the results as it gives him the appearance of a fu

This patient is a 33-year-old transgender female from Seattle who desired a feminine hairline. Her hair is light brown, medium thickness in caliber, which is excellent for frontal hairline and frontal-temporal recession restoration/transplantation. The reason that her hair is excellent for the transplant is that it is thick enough to give the appearance of nice, natural density, but not too thick which can give an unnatural look in the frontal hairline. In the frontal zone, we strive to put the thinnest hairs in the most anterior aspect of the hairline, and build a gradient to thicker hairs t

This patient is a 42-year-old male who desired to enhance his frontal hairline. His preference was to have FUE as there are times that he shaves his head and he wanted to avoid a linear scar. Exam revealed very medium caliber black hair and definite thinning at the frontal hairline region. We transplanted 2102 follicular unit grafts approximately 6 months ago. When I perform FUE, I utilize between a 0.8 – 1.0 mm round FUE punches depending upon the diameter of the follicular units. As the surgeon, I perform every punch; afterwards, between my experienced staff and myself ,we extra

This patient desired restoration of the frontal hairline and the frontotemporal angles. He had been slowly developing alopecia of these areas. He is currently under medial treatment to help slow the progression of alopecia. 2511 grafts were placed into the frontal region of the scalp. This patient demonstrates the steps leading up to the 4 month mark. The patient is planning to return in 2 months to also follow the progression of growth. At this point, the transplants are growing well, but they are still thin compared to the native donor hair. We expect over the next few months contin

This patient is a 54-year-old gentleman who desired to have hair to help frame his face and obtain a more youthful appearance. Examination revealed a Norwood Class VI with very fine, thin, limited donor. We discussed his options that included no medical/surgical treatment and surgical hair transplantation. The difficulty with this patient is that his hair was very fine and that any result from hair transplantation would be thin. He understood that with such fine, thin hair that he would always see his scalp, but that the hair would help frame his face. He had consulted with several phy

This patient is a 39-year old female who for her whole life has been bothered by very deep recessions in the frontotemporal area. Because of this, she nearly always wore her hair forward to cover the areas which were nearly devoid or had very fine, scant hair. This patient is a very active individual and desired to be able to wear her hair back without being self-conscious. Approximately 8 months ago, 2342 follicular unit grafts were densely packed into the left and right frontotemporal areas. At this point, her hair is growing very well, and she has noticed since month 3 that the hair

This patient is a 51 year old gentleman who was born with a cleft lip and palate. At a young age, he had these repaired after many operations, but he always had a moderate scar on his left upper lip which he wanted improved. He grows a mustache to help hide the scars from the lip repair, but he has always been bothered by the fact that his mustache does not completely cover the scars and that there is a noticeable gap. 3 years ago, we transplanted 255 follicular unit grafts into the scar and upper lip mustache. He did well after the procedure, and routine follow up phone calls confirme

This patient is a 37-year-old gentleman who is now 15 months out after having 2210 grafts transplanted to the frontal region of the scalp. Since the last visit, he feels the hairs are thickening and maturing. Overall he is extremely happy with the results. He is able to trim his hair pretty short as seen in the photos and it still has a very natural, full appearance. He is also able to cut the donor area hair down without any evidence of the donor scar showing.

This patient is a 34 year old gentleman who was unsatisfied after two prior transplants to the frontal hairline at another clinic. He had his transplants at an institution that has centers throughout the country. He felt that the results were not what was promised. Despite the procedures, he felt the frontal hairline was thin to the point that only a small percentage of the hairs grew, and most concerning, was that what grew was uneven. Therefore, as I discussed with the patient, our goals would be to design a hairline that would make it even from the right and left sides, and also incr
