  1. Hi, My name is Sim, I am 27 years old and i am from Canada. My friend and i have decided that we are going to Eugenix hair transplant in india. After doing research for about 5 years we narrowed it down to either Darling buds and Eugenix in india. After looking into both places to the "T" we feel like the results at eugenix are more dense then darling buds. The method used a Eugenix is a bit different then the method used at darlings buds thats another reason we chose Eugenix (Eugenix uses DHI introduced in 2013) . Darling buds have been around longer and might have more experience but we felt like the results at Eugenix were better density wise. I will be posting my overview about the surgery along with pictures every month and how my trip/surgery was at Eugenix. We both have decided that we are going to go with the "Comprehensive and exclusive package" that Eugenix offers and we both decided we are going to get are hair transplant done from Dr.Anika Bansal. We will begin are journey to india on March 5th 2020 and are surgery will take place March 9th and 10th 2020 once the surgery is done i will start posting my progress, grafts implanted, before/after pictures, monthly updates, and other information that you guys would like to know. I will also be putting up videos on my youtube channel of the progress every month, i was told by many of my followers to do so because most people following me want to get a hair transplant and obviously want to see the results before commiting to do this big procedure. I will put a link up of my channel once the surgery is done so you guys can follow that as well. I am excited and nervous about this, I've been waiting for a long time. Feel free to message me anytime and i will try my best to answer your guys questions.
  2. The index patient was 45 years when he came to us for a transplantation procedure. He was Grade 5A on the Norwood Hamilton Scale of baldness. We gave him 3019 grafts for his transplantation procedure and covered his frontal zone. After 5 months he started seeing good growth on his scalp. After 2.5 years, we have displayed his results in the video where he has a complete change in look. He has a very good density and is extremely satisfied with his results.
  3. The index patient was 45 years old. He was Grade VI on the Norwood Hamilton Scale of baldness. We gave him 5445 grafts with adequate coverage and density. 4545 grafts were taken from the scalp and 900 grafts were taken from the beard. After a year, we witnessed amazing results on his scalp. What we have tried to portray is a very realistic representation of the results one can expect.
  4. We had a 62 year old male patient with a Grade IV A baldness on the Norwood Hamilton Scale. The baldness had stabilized for many years and was non - progressive. For this individual we performed 3491 grafts. His hair started growing within 3 months and by 5 months the density was very good. By 12 months the complete results were visible and he enjoyed a great density. A special feature in this case was that he had 99% grey hair. It is difficult to perform a hair transplant in such cases. However, over the years, we have mastered the art of transplanting grey hair or light pigmented hair by performing transplantation on a lot of individuals with grey hair and a lot of Caucasians. Over the years we have accumulated an experience of performing transplant with light pigmented hair or infact no pigment at all.
  5. A 58-year male having baldness going up to Grade IV and having severe crown thinning came to us for restoration. His temple points were also involved. So we did the hairline, filled the frontal area, we also did the temple and the crown with adequate density. By 8 months, he had grown a lot of hair with good density. But after 12 months when he sent his pictures after lockdown while combing his hair, it looks very great. His results look fantastic. He had some pre-existing hair that required to be prevented from going off due to baldness. We have prescribed him the medications and he is taking them.
  6. The index patient was a young 32-year-old man who had Grade 2A + Crown baldness. He was worried about his receding hairline and the hair loss in the crown also. We planted a total of 2250 grafts in his case. Five hundred singles were placed while designing the hairline. We also planted some grafts on his crown. He has also prescribed medications for the preservation of his pre-existing hair. By 10 months, he has had a complete change in look and a good density of hair on his scalp. In the video, we can witness the progress of this patient. The density will continue to increase until the 12th month.
  7. Who in the world wouldn't want to have the thickest head of hair? Everyone right?! When we imagine our ideal self, aesthetically we call have a particular set of characteristics that we have formed in place. When due to some or the other reason any of our idealized aesthetic forms are challenged or distorted, agitation is anything but natural to be experienced. For this same reason, many a times a lot of individuals are not able to accept the fact that they will not be able to get the density, coverage or hairlines that they find ideal. The expectations rising from their desire to achieve a particular aesthetic does not match the practical availability of the donor and the requirement of the recipient area. There are so many individuals who would rather not go for the transplantation altogether because of this one factor. The turmoil arises from a deeper sense of being and not just a superficial necessity to just find a coverage. Hair transplantation being the cosmetic procedure that it is, can still be a source of satisfaction and happiness to such patients if they can level their expectations. Some of these patients will have never even imagined that a simple change in look can give them the confidence that they have been lacking only because they have never looked at the situation from any other perspective other than theirs. Some are pleasantly surprised at their own change in attitude once they get the results. It may not be as dense and low hairlined as they had imagined but with the correct artistry, their facial features get enhanced and it gives them a situation which is obviously better than what they had. For this to be achieved, thorough expertise and intelligence is mandatory. The key is to tune one's mind into what is possible. Most of the times, we research about the credentials of the clinic, the results they have produced and so on. But we hardly give any time to research and think over what is it exactly that we want and what is the possibility. It is extremely important to ascertain what we are comfortable to carry for the rest of our lives and to visualize ourselves in the proposed possibility. We invest a lot of capital, emotions and trust when we go in for the procedures. And we must make sure that we are ready for what is to come when the results show up. This is also the responsibility of the doctor to visually demonstrate to the individuals and show them the kind of coverage and density that they would have along with the design of the hairline etc. on individuals with similar cases. Hair transplantation is all about achieving satisfaction for the patient as well as the doctor. For that to happen, we need to have a realistic ideal self image. A realistic expectation can always lead to satisfaction and a peace of mind.
  8. A conservative hair transplant is when new hair grafts are planted in between the gaps of already existing hair. We performed a similar transplant procedure for the index patient who was was 50 years old and who had diffussive hair loss from the hairline till the crown. He received 5055 grafts for his transplantation procedure. Out of these, 4055 grafts were taken from the scalp and 1000 grafts were taken from the beard. It is usually very difficult to plant new grafts in between the existing hair but with 8x magnification, we were able to meticulously fill up the gaps. We also gave him Finasteride and Minoxidil which would strengthen his pre existing hair and make them thicker. After 3 months the hair started to grow and after 5 months there was a complete change in look. By the 9th month, he had gained a very thick density and good volume. It needs a lot of precision, experience and magnification to plant new grafts in between two already existing grafts so that the existing hair do not enter into shock stage or get damaged. With more than 6000 cases under our belt, Eugenix Hair Sciences has a vast experience of planting in between existing hair not only in males but also females.
  9. Eight Months update: Hair Transplant at Eugenix Anil Saini, 32 years of age with progressive baldness (going up to NW 5), joined Eugenix Hair Sciences, Delhi/NCR as a medical counselor. Soon he realized that without hair it is only “theoretical” to try to impart the knowledge upon the prospective patients over phone/mails and not wise from a sales point of view to meet the patients in person inside the office. (Like a plump guy can not be a gym trainer, a bald guy might not appeal to patients as a representative of a hair restoration center.) Eugenix Hair Sciences – a phenomenon sweeping the hair transplant industry with its Direct Hair Transplantation technique has become an enigma in the hair transplant industry. With more than 6000 successful cases so far, they have proved their consistency without a doubt. Dr Pradeep Sethi and Dr Arika Bansal with their skill and passion have emerged as forerunners in the hair transplant industry. Eugenix is changing the face of hair transplantation for men and women with world-class FUE instrumentation, facilities, and a team of dedicated professionals.
  10. Mr. Anup Jalota is a 65-year-old individual whose donor was thin and depleted. He had been wearing a wig to better suit his camera personality. It was a challenge for us to match his screen personality and match the same looks even after the transplant. We could extract 3000 grafts from the back scalp donor and 4000 odd grafts were taken from the beard. The beard hair, though mostly grey, merged well with the scalp hair. Within 2 months, his hair had started growing. Within 4 months he was in a reality TV show, Bigg Boss. By the 7th month, he achieved outstanding growth. After a year of the completion of his procedure, he is enjoying very good results. The point to be noted in this case is that since most of his hair are grey and he is not coloring his hair it tends to look thinner. But if he colors the hair, the light gets obstructed by the blackened hair and thus they appear denser. It was, however, a challenge to recreate a look similar to his wig look which was very dense and thick. However, as we can see his full results, it looks thick, natural, and dense.
  11. Planting hair in the hairline zone and the area immediately behind the hairline zone in the frontal area is challenging because that is the frontal part and gateway to the face. The right kind of hair - like the hairline has thinner caliber hair, lightly pigmented hair, irregular hair, and slow-growing hair; are important in the hairline zones. In the temples the hair has to be acutely placed, the curl should be upside down, etc. It is very important to ensure such factors in the temple area. While doing so, one also has to be always mindful of the potential progression of baldness in the individual. This is why the hairline should not be too low or too high but rather it should be very judicious. It is very important that all of these factors should be kept in mind when designing and constructing the hairline.
  12. A 40-year-old man had his baldness going up to Grade III on the Norwood Hamilton Scale and it was progressing. He wanted a good density and fortunately, he had good hair and his donor was thick. His temples were also receding and it is difficult to do the temple areas as the direction of the hair and the angles are different. We performed his procedure and by 5 months he was very happy with the progress. Now close to 2 years, he is still enjoying his fabulous results and has become a close friend to the clinic.
  13. We, at Eugenix Hair Sciences, pay utmost attention to the cosmosis of the donor. Therefore, we always strive to take the grafts from the donor in a manner where there is no evidence of the extraction after the procedure. The donor looks the same after a few months as it had looked before extraction. The meticulous attention, diligence, the use of the finest punches, the strategic extraction from the permanent zone, the experience and skill set that we have garnered over the years with more than 6000 patients have helped us in preserving the aesthetics of the donor. The donor in the end looks like as if nothing has been extracted from it. Please subscribe to our channel and ring the bell icon to keep yourselves updated with our videos. We shall be continuously posting new and scientific videos which will help all the patients gain better insight into the hair transplant procedures.

  15. During FUE or DHT hair transplantation, a recipient demand and donor supply principle can explain the shortage of donor hair when we attempt to have a full scalp coverage on the recipient area for a patient with a high grade of baldness and not much scalp donor. In such a scenario, we then proceed southwards in search of viable donor grafts. This has led to the succesful transition of beard donor hair into the scalp with 85% approximate success in their growth. However, during the FUE / DHT hair transplantation procedure, we can also try to harvest the donor hair from the chest, thighs, pubic area, etc. but it does not have a promising result. Infact, the genetic makeup of the hair start to vary as we move further away from the scalp. Therefore, beard and sidelocks have a good survivability and close likeness to the scalp hair. This characterstic makes these hair amalgamate with the scalp hair producing fine looking results. Sidelock donor hair characterstics are more similar to scalp donor hair than beard donor because of the proximity to the scalp. Beard donor hair are more wiry and can stand out if not straight in nature. Chest hair grafts, thigh hair grafts, pubic hair grafts, etc. on the other hand might not even be visible after the full hair growth on the scalp as they tend to have a longer stagnant phase. It is always advisable to be judicious in the use of scalp donor grafts and beard donor grafts rather than move directly towards chest, thighs, pubic areas, etc. without proper assessment. Hair restoration can have multiple factors that affect the look of the end result. Hair transplantation is a baldness cure but it does have it's own rules when a hair doctor is planning hair growth in men and women. The before and after results of hair transplant can help understand the nature of the hair taken from different donor zones. The beard hair, when it grows can be styled using different hair styling products such as serums and hair protein creams.
  16. The index patient was a 45 year old caucasian who suffered from a high grade of baldness: Grade VII-VII. He had very few hopes of getting his scalp covered completely. He had been discouraged by many clinics against transplantation as they felt that his donor was not sufficient. He came to us already expecting a half scalp coverage when he wanted to get the consult done. However, with our beard donor expertise, we were able to give him a complete scalp coverage. He has been buzzing his hair short for the following three months and then allowed the hair to grow for the next one month. The results depicted are of 4 months. He, however, has 8 more months left for his complete density to shine bright on his scalp.

  18. Every hair transplant patient desires full coverage and density, and our Norwood 7 patients are no different. Most Norwood 7 patients are turned away by other surgeons, as the clinics are not confident in providing the patients with adequate results. However, at Eugenix we’ve been restoring grade 6/7 for almost 10 years. We have been handling grade 6/7 cases as a challenge since 2012. Our target was to give coverage of the total bald area with cosmetically acceptable density. We started using beard hair soon. After many cases we realised that beard is the not that trust worthy. Rest of the body hair are to be ignored. We split large mega-session procedures to ensure we do not over harvest the donor area, and to ensure the donor area maintains a homogeneous appearance.
  19. Our extensive experience with Norwood 6/7 patients, and how we approach these complex cases. Since 2010, when we started hair restoration practice, we were asked to cover the TOTAL BALDNESS by patients. They were not happy to only do the front and remain BALD on the mid and crown area! The desires of the hair restoration patients are to get: 1) Natural-looking hair 2) Dense hair 3) Hair forever 4) Complete Coverage We have been working on all these points in the last 10 years and to give solid answers to all our patients. This demanded us to forsake all our Dermatology and Cosmetic practices and focus only upon hair restoration science. With a one-pointed focus, we started delivering results that satisfied most of the points mentioned on the top and most of the patients. There was one particular patient who got close to 16500 grafts from us and his life changed and he became an actor. That kicked us to do more and more grade 6-7 cases and push our selves against our limits. We modified our technique, started using different instruments, worked upon body hair. We soon realized that trusting body hair beyond the beard is foolish. In fact, in the world literate it is difficult to find and gratifying result of chest hair and that lasts long. So, we concentrated only upon beard hair and scalp hair to provide complete coverage of the baldness. We smartly tried to give the GRADED density from front to crown. Scalp hair used on the front and the beard hair used to mix with scalp hair in the mid-scalp and crown. Guys who have extreme baldness has an inversely dense beard. At times, it was difficult to make some people get convinced about beard hair because they wanted to sport a beard! Even we take 3000-4000 beard, still, most of the people could have a great beard to the sport. All these things happened over last 8 years and it majorly started in 2012. The challenge to cover grade 7 baldness has changed the course of our career and we were forced to focus only upon hair. At that time no one in the world was doing grade 7 in one sitting and our works inspired many, all over the globe to attempt these cases. With more than a THOUSAND cases of grade 7 under our belt, we are much better placed to help future patients with grade 6/7 baldness.

  21. Many people are afraid of using Finasteride due to the fear of permanent loss of libido or impotence. We have compiled many scientific papers which are published in very reputed journals and tried to give a summary of these papers. Also at the end we have highlighted about our practice of Finasteride in male pattern baldness. Anything which is written on web comes on search in google. Many things are not true. They are anecdotal incidences. What does the scientific data say? The scientific research and data are published in PUBMED, the online library for medical science. This is the most authentic place to know anything in medicine. There are many studies which suggest that Finasteride is nearly safe to use. Baring few studies most of the studies are positive. Also, we don’t have any medicine other than Finasteride and Minoxidil which are effective in preventing baldness and are FDA approved. How effective is Finasteride? Finasteride is capable of preventing the miniaturisation of the balding hair and reversal of thickness of the hair. So keeping the balance of EFFECTS and potential SIDE EFFECTS, we suggest to try Finasteride in every baldness case. In our experience most of the people do well and whenever there is any ambiguity or doubts in the minds of the patients, we ask them to stop it. When re-introduced, the same side effects does not recur! What is the Nocebo effect ? There is a phenomenon called NOCEBO; here those group of people develop the side effects who are informed about the side effects. So, we suggest that the medicine has to be taken with the consultation with the doctor rather than having the fear and phobia. The treating doctor with the vast experience over years should be able to titrate the dosage of needed with the ultimate goal of preventing the baldness.
  22. We are pleased to inform you that Dr Pradeep Sethi and Dr Arika Bansal are going live on Facebook on 23th (Thursday) April, at 7 pm ( IST) this week. They will be discussing modern updated hair transplantation procedures, aesthetic hairline creation, failed/repair procedures, grade 7 cases, beard hair transplants, eyebrows, eyelashes, PRP, Exosomes and many more subjects. We are welcoming everyone who are researching upon the subject for a live Q&A session. Please post your questions on https://www.facebook.com/ehairclinic/
  23. Is there a difference between Caucasian Hair vs Asian/Indian Hair We have been constantly asked about our experience of Caucasian hair restoration surgeries. We have been getting Caucasians as patients since 2014-15, more so in last 3 years. In 2019 alone 20-25% of our practice constituted of them. Unlike the notion that Caucasian hair restoration is difficult than Indian hair restoration, it is other way round. Baring the dark colour of Indian/Asian hair, most of the features of Caucasian hair outscores the former. Be it the number of hair per graft, number graft per square cm, or thickness of the hair; Caucasian hairs are better. The amount of grafts required to cover the bald area is more in Asians than Caucasians, due to the shape of the scalp and the hairline position. Indian hair features are in between true Asian (mongoloid) and Caucasian hair. The northern and western part of India has most of the population which are similar to Caucasians, baring the colour of the hair. However, once we travel down in India towards south, the characteristics of hair changes. The north-east part of India has more Asian like hair features. So, in India, we do get patients from different genetic pools and carry a huge and varied experience upon different hair qualities. In coming days, we will be posting more videos upon our work upon Caucasian populations.
  24. Hello Folks! This is my second thread on this Forum. My previous thread intended to seek suggestions and gain insight about best FUE surgeons in India. I am very grateful to this forum for all the help. If you want to look at my initial photos please refer to that thread. In this thread I will only record my surgery experience and the journey post-surgery. Ultimately one has to make a decision and I have booked my HT with Eugenix at their Gurgaon location on June 18, 2020. I have selected their most affordable pkg. More excited than me are my friends and relations who have tried everything to save their hair, but never had the courage to opt for a HT. I think a lot of them would follow suit if I get good results. I made this booking about 1 month ago or so when COVID-19 was still not a pandemic and I was hoping that things would calm down by the end of May at most and the self Isolation rules for international passengers arriving in India would be relaxed. Lets see how things unfold. Lot of uncertainty for now. Looking forward to meet @GabreilleN @Abhinay Singh and team Eugenix in June!! Also hoping that the clinic staff and their families stay safe, healthy, and sustain financially in this tough time!
