Age - early 20's
Donor supply - @ 7000
Using Propecia for 10 months
For patients that want to do FUE but are unable to pull off a full donor shave, we do offer a "band shave" FUE which allows a patient to undergo extraction with the ability to conceal the extracted region.
Often the downside with this approach is that it limits the amount of grafts that we can safely extract from a more concentrated area but for this patient considering his early age and propensity for potential full head baldness given his family history, doing an FUE of 616 grafts accomplished a meaningful change while considering the big picture. This patient still has over 6000 grafts to be used for future planning.
1568 grafts via FUE transplanted. Patient goals: to create a lower hairline that fits his face and to reframe his temple peaks.
Graft make-up: 405 singles, 984 doubles, 179 threes. This result is 9 months post-op. Bio-adjuncts liposomal ATP and PRP supplemented this procedure.
Patient in mid 50s received an FUE hair transplant from Dr. Dorin for frontal restoration. This treatment consisted of 1282 follicular units of which 427 are singles, 679 doubles, and 176 threes. Result is 1.5 years post-op.
Bio adjuncts Liposomal ATP spray for post-op healing and intraoperative PRP administered. Patient with likely progression to a NW 5A, fine hair, donor supply @ 5000 grafts. Propecia intiated just prior to surgery.
9 months post-op - treatment focused on restoring density to the frontal third as well as temple peak enhancement1712 grafts via manual FUE consisting of 451 singles, 913 doubles, 366 threesBio adjuncts: PRP & Liposomal ATP post-op spray
This patient currently a thinning 4 ---> likley 5a pattern looking to initiate restoration for his front/hairline.
Dr. Dorin's manual FUE consisted of 1160 grafts, of which 346 are singles, 64 doubles, and 203 threes.- Propecia used for stabilization- PRP an adjunct to the FUE session- Fine hair / @4000 graft donor supply
Dr. Dorin treated this patient's corner/temporal hairline erosion as well as crown thinning with 1400 grafts FUT.
Follicular units consisted of 506 singles, 871 doubles, 3 triples. Bio adjuncts: PRP (applied to recipient areas & overall thinning pattern) & Liposmal ATP holding solution / post-op spray application .
Dr. Dorin performed manual FUE consisting of 1230 follicular units transplanted for initial hairline restoration. 329 singles, 724 doubles, 176 threes.
Donor supply @ 5000 grafts
PRP and Liposomal ATP spray adjuncts to the procedure
This is an FUT result after 4232 grafts for NW Class 6 patient.
The strategy with the 2 initial FUT procedures of 2382 and 1850 respectively was to cover 2/3 of the balding pattern with transition to the crown. Patient is very pleased with the framing and coverage achieved - likely additional restoration as donor allows via FUE or FUT to add further balance to the vertex .
We get patients from time to time that prefer an extremely short hairstyle.
With this in mind, I wanted to post this to show how that appears. The main concern with a shorter level is evidence of scarring on top & donor-wise.
As you can see we achieve nice healing in both regions. Have to give some credit to PRP injection during surgery and liposomal ATP care. Dr. Dorin also customizes the recipient blades to accomodate each graft size ( grafts microscopically prepared) so there is no pitting or cobblestoning.
For optimal volume we do recommend some length to the hair to allow for layering but it's nice for patients to have options.
3200 Follicular Units added to the front and top of the balding pattern
5745 hairs transplanted
Propecia initiated at the time of the transplant
This result is 3.5 years post-op.
Dr. Dorin performed manuel FUE for this hairline hair transplant
A total of 2151 grafts extracted and transplanted, consisting of 783 singles, 1150 doubles, and 118 threes.
Dr. Dorin catered this initial restorative hair transplant to match the patient's request for a more conservative hairline to start.
1552 grafts produced the desired effect with a short crop hairstyle after 1 year.
This patient is enjoying this result. As the scar is so minimal he will likely opt to do an FUE as a second step to tweak the hairline level and density and as a way to maintain the integrity of his FUT scar.
Dr. Dorin performed an manuel FUE utilizing the WAW system - micro-oscillatory and hybrid punches, non-suction, non-robotic. Interim growth showing after 1513 grafts transplanted 6 months post-op. Donor view after 3 weeks. 680 singles, 801 doubles, 32 threes. 300 for the crown whirl and 1213 frontal. Liposomal ATP as holding solution and post-operative application.
