  1. Hello everyone, i have been thinking about this lately after i been reading several posts. there was one post about HT doctors in Chicago, and the only coalition doctor in chicago was Dr. Raymond Konior another post came up a female who went to a coalition doctor by the name of William Reed. now, i know they are coalition doctors, and Pat checked out their work before they became a coalition doctor, but i beleive their work should be out there more. besides not seeing their results on patients since i became a member in december 06, i have not see other coalition doctors works either. just to name a few Leonard E. Aronovitz, D.O. Glenn Charles, D.O Edmond I. Griffin Robert Haber, M.D Sharon Keene, MD(i think i only seen one work of hers and it wasnt too good, confirm?) Raymond Konior, MD Dr. Bernard Nusbaum Thomas Chung Wai William Reed Dr. Arthur Tykocinski not only should these doctors showcase their work for potential patients to see so they can get a feel of what to expect, it also keeps a good line of competition. competition from different doctors will benefit patients and doctors as doctors have a need to keep up with current techniques and patients benefit as they get better results. now i know you may be thinking, competition is bad for business right? well i dont think so in this case. The average price per graft is 3$ and has stayed at that constant price for quite a while, most ht doctors are booked in advance by 4 months(or so atleast i heard), which doesnt give a reason for ht doctors to need to decrease price from direct competition. also in this industry, price is one of the last things you look at, you are looking for quality results. Also the HT industry is expanding significantly, and there and more and more members on the Hair transplant network. H&W, Feller and a few other Doctors are booked months in advance and many people recommend people to have their work with these doctors, i just feel that we should widen our horizons and be able to recommend more doctors. with all that being said, i just feel a need that all coalition doctors post patient results at least once every 6 months. and last but not least, i couldnt see why these doctors would not want to do it, its basically like how i would say it, "free advertisement"?

  3. Hi Friends, Thanks a looot for all your suggessions. Now I dropped my idea of going to Hair Club and planning to go to Dr. William Reed at La Jolla, California. He is a member of the coalition, so I assume I am in right direction. Please let me if know your thoughts. Thanks Heman
  4. Pat, Have you asked the following doctors who are part of your list (including some on the coalition) why they are part of the Hairlossdoctorlist.com? I think it is great that you recommend them here. They are all fine doctors. Why would 4 of your "coalition" members choose to do this, if you say the other site is not ethical? Dr. James Harris, MD Dr. Bobby Limmer MD (coalition member) Dr. Bradley Limmer MD (coalition member) Dr. William M. Parsley MD Dr. Bernard Nusbaum MD (coalition member) Dr. Jerry Cooley MD (coalition member) Dr. Michael Beehner, MD Bill, Since you clearly posted a lie in the other forum about these doctors not meeting the standards here, would you kindly go back to the other forum and explain why you chose to defame them?

  6. I agree. Don't forget Dr. William Parsley. Please Pat, enlighten us. One of your members "Bill" even went on the other site and posted lies saying they weren't listed here because they didn't meet your standards. What Bill did was probably slander, and could even warrent a defamation lawsuit. The fact is, they are listed here. Can you enlighten the public forum here about why they would join the other site (hairlossdoctorlist.com)? Can Bill enlighten us as to why he LIED in the other forum?
  7. Abdi1982, I would consult with one of the coalition doctors (link provided in my last post) rather than going to MHR. If you research MHR on this community and others, you will see that many people are less than satisfied with their results. In all honesty, being a NW4, you will most likely need between 4000-5000 grafts to give you decent coverage and density creating the illusion of a "full" look. 2000 won't be enough. HOWEVER...I wouldn't consider a transplant at this time until you have been on finasteride for at least 6 months to a year. Because you are still losing hair, it is important that you get your hairloss under control. If you can borrow a digital camera or have someone take pictures of your condition, we can give you more accurate information. If you are certain NOT to leave the CA area to find a transplant doctor...at the very least for consultations, definiately considering consuling with: William R. Rassman, MD. 9911 W. Pico Blvd. Los Angeles California Tel: 1-800-New-Hair And William Reed, M.D 6515 La Jolla Blvd La Jolla California Tel:Toll Free: 1-888-818-LJHR (5547) I'll warn you up front that Dr. Rassman is on the expensive side (almost double what other doctor's charge) and I've had some reservations about him based on a couple cases I've seen and his donor closure method. I also haven't seen much from Dr. Reed, personally, but I have faith in this community and this community stands behind both doctors as doing solid work. At the very least, they can help you develop a long term plan. You can ALSO do online consultations with most clinics...so consider that as well. By the way...you do NOT have to get a prescription for Propecia from an HT doc...you can go to your general practioner for that. Hope this helps. Bill
  8. Hey Fella, There are some great coalition doctors in the Western US area of the country: -Dr. William Reed in La Jolla, CA -Dr. William R. Rassman in LA, CA -Dr. Scott F. Alexander in Phoenix, AZ -Dr. Sharon Keene in Tuscon, AZ Take clear pictures of your scalp in different angles and email them to these doctors for advice. These coalition doctors by default should be ethical doctors. So if they agree to perform a procedure on you and you have educated yourself about the risk of doing a HT at a young age, then go for it. I understand what it feels like to loose your hair in your twenties. Good luck.
  9. HAIRTRANSPLANT ISLAND ..when hairsailor hairobservator entered the hairtransplant island it seems that everbody got hair! ..oh no not everybody some guys on this island had not anough donorhair to get the hole head covered with transplanthair! But must of them who had to little donorhair can get with stripping & fueing hairtransplanting say STRIPFUE hairtransplants a 60 to 70% optical(optische haardichtheid in nl) hairthickness coverage on a before boldhead with this cure against hairloss called transplanthair! Some more help is there on hairspray island they say! People with not much hairloss have very good results I am calling them state of the art hairtransplant models! The best models for a hairtransplant are people who have no hairloss anymore when hairloss is stopt! You must not be to young for a hairtransplant say you must be 25! OK the best age for a HT is most of the time 40 years when hairloss is stopt and you have the money for it! People who do a hairtransplant are most of the time guys who are looking for more succes in live, in german language "Erfolgstypen"! The regular hairtransplants today are done with strip but fuegrafting(new light to oldschool!)is more & more done! After a strip you have a smiley scar onder your hair(with todays trichophytic closure the hairs grow through the scar!) at the backsite of your head with too much fuegrafting your hair can look like motheaten! With stripgrafting you can most of the time full up every kind of boldness with transplanthair with fuegrafting sometimes this is not possible! With Strip you can do more in less time, today is a 2500 grafter(5 hours!) normal for more grafts you need a high densety in the donorhairarea and a good flexibility of your skin! Not everybody can do a 5000 graftser ore more remember that!!! With fuegrafting 600-800 maybe 1000grafts a day are good possible, fuegrafting is sometimes difficult and even not possible with curlyhair! I think 2000 ore more with fuegrafting is too much for hairdoc & hairpatient! ..hairtransplants are for free(what a dream!) on this island and all the hairdocs are together on this island so who is getting bold is getting some transplanthair(!) very easy! With hairtransplanting you can help men & women too get hair again! OK sorry there are people with alopecia areata & totalis too who can get no help from hairtransplanting! ..first I spoke to a very clever old hairdoc with a hairtransplant himself who was learning a chinees hairdokter to transplant because he heard of a big hairloss epidemie coming on the big island of china they call this epedimie zivilisation! This hairdoctor called William was a real smart fox but that transplanthair is not newhair I told him you don?‚??t get newhair you get transhair! ..I spoke with a dutch-chinees hairdoc on this island about HM(hairmultiplication) he was talking allot of shit about hairbanks & HM hairclinics and HST(stamcells) but I didn?‚??t believe him I called him after this meeting dr. blabla! He was a lonely hairdoc on this island and nobody was paying any attention anymore to him after he made the hole island crazy a few years ago only with talking about a new hm-fue technique he had developed. ..there was also a funny little german hairdoctor with hairloss(?) beaming around with a laser it seems to me that this was a very fast ore quick hairtransplanting hairdoktor with excellent fast fingers for transplanting hairgrafts! I also saw and old japanese hairdoctor who was hunting for an australian hairdoc because the japanese hairdoc was the real developer of FUE hairtransplants in his eyes and not that crocodile woody and he was screaming BANZAI & hunting for that crocodileman, also a hairdocter of greece and an american with the name of choi were running for the japanese karatedoc! A guy who they called indiana Jones was watching them fighting about that isfues.. what a fellers he thought! The real good canadian hairdocs have a hairtransplant themself some say on this island maybe they where all from Toronto? A american hairdoctor called Lee was talking about a hairclinic on every island together with a japanese guy from WIG ISLAND they where talking about renting a speedboat and go see for some more advertising ideas of hairtransplanting ore maybe to find the hair treasure island! There where also two hairdocs(one old & ugly and one young & pretty) burning some old hairtransplant books to get a fire for a big barbecue on hairtransplant island.. the good looking wants too write one of his own? Another old hairdoc was sreaming around the island talking to himself while he was making pictures of balding men of every possible case he had a picture 1- 7! There where also two hairdocs who are working together who got the nicknames of ToR & Jerry hairtransplants who got allott techs nurses for great giga hairtransplants.. More grafts you need more techs.. A french hairdoc was doing some scalping reduction technique but please not on my head! A famous argentino hairflapsurgeon was out of hairwork and jobbless on this island! I also saw a very pretty turkisch hairdoc she was one of the only woman hairdocs together with two woman hairdocs from Switserland & Germany! And there was another hairdoc from Switserland Z??rich but NONO this cant be truth this one got a WIG on his head! A hairdoc with a WIG? A big diskussion on hairtransplant island is still how to make the incisions for implanting the hairgrafts! It?‚??s slits vs holes? I think a good mix of both is the best for a very natural hairtransplantlook! Alway?‚??s use a no hairline-hairline in hairtransplantation! Hairlinework is very important and must be state of the art hairtransplantwork! On this island a saw the best solution against hairloss sofar but hairsailor hairobservator wants to see some more islands where they have cures against hairloss & boldness so he takes his ship again and is sailing to a little island not so far away from hairtransplant island on the way to hairtherapy island called sprayhair island! Greatings Hairobservator ..in real live hairobservator has chosen sofar for 6000+ hairgrafts with STRIP & FUE hairtransplantation on his before boldhead on top! A mix of holes & slits! Look for hairdocs on www.ishrs.org www.iahrs.org www.eshrs.org My favorite hairdoc is M. Villnow MD www.hairlase.com Hairobservators HAIRTRANSPLANT CITY TOP 7! Most hairtransplants done worlwide in almost 50 years of hairtransplanting sinds 1959! BEVERLY HILLS - TORONTO - NEW YORK - MIAMI - D??SSELDORF - HAARLEM - PARIS Hairobservators THE TOP 7 of trendy hairdocs today! HASSON - JONES - SHAPIRO - EPSTEIN - VILLNOW - REITH - KESER ..there are more very good hairdoctors I just pick some! MOST FAMOUS HAIRTRANSPLANTS! Maybe Dick Advocaat or Silvio Berlusconi? Also Steven Seagal & Clint Eastwood..
  10. Oh yeah hairlase is shit you saying! But 50.000.000 hairlase impulses can??????t be wrong! You in the states all believe that dude caled Walter Unger MD but was he right in 1994 ISHRS in Dallas with his report on laserhairtransplant, I know now for sure he wasn??????t! Malte Villnow was there too but that was the first and last time he went to a ISHRS convention and that??????s for a good reason! Malte Villnow MD is the laserexpert worlwide on lasergrafting but you americans think you know all better that??????s it! With lasergrafting you created those very thin transplanthair what expecialy is needed for fine hairlinework! You need a special software and experience to do a hairlase threathment! You don??????t wanne respect my favorit german hairdoc because he is maybe better then you all overthere that??????s what it is, a complottheorie against him and what do you know B-spot, what did you see B-spot your only a beginning haircostumer/patient and maybe a spammer yourself for me, you wanne sell Dr. Shapiro!? Sorry folks but it must be done in this way because you all must think otherwise! With hairlase and quickgrafting method! I have seen it all(1990-2007) and they are telling me nothing new in the states, I talked to George Fettig of Bosley Medical in 2002 and his ears where glowing they stil have interest of bying LA to enter te market in europe and bring lasergrafting/hairlase to the states/canada but they don??????t wanne sell on the moment, maybe never! Suddleson MD, Rassmann MD, Elliot MD, Ochs MD, Sword MD they all where speechless when I went to Hollywood in 2002! OK Alan Ochs MD said: "O those germans they are so hot about that laserthing!" With William Rassman MD I talked a long time about his new Fox threathment on his openday with NewHair, when Villnow MD startet/entered in the hairtransplantfield(1992) he traveled to USA/Canada and did some threathments together with William Rassman MD in Beverly Hills & David Seager MD in Toronto on that moment maybe the best newcoming hairdocs! At Transhair(92-96) he worked together with Dr. Neidel but he became the leading hairdoc and in 1996 he started his own beautycompany Laser Aesthetic! Sometimes Geoffrey Epstein MD did call from Miami to D??????sseldorf for information! I think that Walter Unger MD must come to D??????sseldorf and talk with Dr. Villnow for his next book about Hair Transplantation maybe Ronald Shapiro MD can help in this way! So that??????s all what I wanne say about lasergrafting maybe you wakeup in the states! About my "quick implant technique"/"quickgrafting method" I hope allot of hairdocs in the states/canada are changing there normal threathments and start doing it this way, I hope they will do it at Shapiro Medical!? Remember this name! Frank Frederikus Wilhelmus Bolk Alias Dr. Hair & Frenkie today better known as the hairobservator! Greatings Hairobservator
  11. Fit---- I am glad that you are pointing out a few oddities or unexplainables from your perspective. This is good...... Let me address your concerns...... We do not steer people to recommended physicians before Coalition Docs. Usually, recommended Docs find business from local patients who cannot or are unwilling to travel. In addition, many recommended Docs do very SOLID work, with regards to achievable density and placement. The difference is that most recommended Docs are unwilling to transplant large sessions and are unwilling to provide dense pack sessions. This does not mean that their work is terrible or awful, just that their philosophy is a bit archaic and not completely current. Believe me when I tell you that many people/Docs feel it is BETTER to do 2-3 sessions than try 1 large session. Aside from all of that--- the recommended list serves as a good/solid replacement for people who might have gone to Bosley, MHR, or some local hack. We have to remember, many people will NOT travel or simply will NOT risk leaving their immediate area, regardless of what they read or hear. How hard do you think it is for me to tell those who live in Chicago that out of all the Docs that do HT's only ONE Doc (Konier) in the entire town that does world class hair transplants? Many find that hard to believe. Here is some info on the Docs you called from my PERSONAL knowledge: Leonard E. Aronovitz, D.O-- VERY meticulous, does great work, likes to do smaller sessions, a bit over-priced in the long run. Robert M. Bernstein, M.D., F.A.A.D-- Produces tremendous results on repair patients, feels strongly about his position regarding safe transplanted density's and session sizes. A bit overpriced, but possesses unquestionable ethics and is to be considered a real "good guy" who does great work. Jerry E. Cooley, MD-- possesses the ability to do large sessions, dense packs, uses a large staff and is reasonably priced, tremendous results (see Robert). Jeffrey Epstein MD, FACS-- does great work and also does quite a bit of Pro Bono work for burn victims and those less fortunate. A bit higher priced but produces great results Edmond I. Griffin, MD-- Produces very natural results does GREAT work on African American patients, likes to do sessions of 1500-3000 grafts. Would like to see more current patients willing to post photos here. Robert Haber, M.D.-- A little known doc (not in the HT community, but online) that has been intregal in advances in the removal and closure of donor tissue. Does really nice work, likes to retransplant areas at about 25-30 to produce density's of 45-60 through the frontal zone and core. I do not personally like some of his hairlines, but others disagree with me. Still a great Doc. Sharon Keene, MD-- Trained with Dr. Shapiro and does tremendous work. Will do large sessions and produces a nice natural hairline (see Gorpy) Bobby L. Limmer, MD--Produces consistant results and is most concerned with optimal growth, will not transplant over 40 fu's cm/2 in one session, but his primary concern is long term patient care. Highly Technical. William R. Rassman, MD.-- Doc that embraces the latest technology and also is willing to engage other Docs that possess views opposite of his own. Does really nice work, but is a bit pricy for me at this time. Does produce consistant results. William Reed, M.-- Newer member of the Coalition, still waiting for some feedback on his approach, which differs slightly from other Docs, with regards to pricing/density/use of larger grafts. In Pat's estimation produces consistant natural results in 2 sessions. Paul T. Rose, M.D.-- one of the BEST HT Docs in the world. Like Haber is known for his closure techniques (Ledge--variation of the Trico) and produces tremendous results everytime. Usually does sessions of 2000-2500 because he does not like excess tension on the incision closure. Given the opportunity, the methods used by each of these Docs will rival the results of any other HT Doc. Again, there is something to be said for doing 2-3 smaller sessions and allowing the patient to work with the Doc to determine placement and density region by region. Recommended Docs-- Alfonso Barrera, MD, FACS---Have heard nothing Good nor Bad. Cannot comment on him. Dr. Mark Baxa-- would not recommend anyone over a NW3. Has several clinics, does good work, not enamoured with his ability to transplant into native hair. Michael Beehner, M.D-- solid Doc, prefers to do several sessions-- I think his hairline design is suited to older men. Dr. Ivan Cohen-- Solid, Good Rep-- would not recommend anyone over a NW4 for him. Dr. Blaine Lehr--Solid,-- has had some disappointed patients pop up. Dr. William Parsley--- Does Good work, perfers to stay conservative and low key. Technically, is very advanced, but does solid hairline work and is a bit dogmatic with his hairline work. I hope this list helps you out, but it is very good that you have contacted these Docs and come away with good plan and you have chosen a TOP clinic. I personally believe every prospective HT patient should do a virtual consult with H&W and SMG. After that compare and contrast how YOU personally feel and then make an informed decision. Just remember that even if a Doc is not considered "world-class" they still represent a much higher level of work than the fast food chain HT mills and local butcher shops and for some people that is enough. I hope that as our membership grows, we can keep directing people to these "Top" clinics It seems that you have gotten off on the worng foot here, so I am glad that you are still engaging in continuous conversation. I hope that you will continue to offer your insight as your knowledge base grows and that you will document your hair restoration journey in order to help others make a quality decision. Good Luck and please let me know if I can be of any assistance.
  12. Thanks for the replies. I appreciate your words. I don't want to get a particular doctor in trouble. This is not my intent. Besides, who prepares a transcript of their phone conversations that they have with hair transplant doctors? Or maybe I should, it can be called the hair transplant files I also spoke with several doctors listed on this website as recommended but not members of the Coalition. Here is a list: Alfonso Barrera, MD, FACS Dr. Mark Baxa Michael Beehner, M.D Dr. Ivan Cohen Dr. Blaine Lehr Dr. William Parsley I asked them what the difference between their transplant and the Coalition member's transplants were. It was hard for me to understand the distinction since they all did the same size cases on average as the Coalition doctors. Some used lateral slits when appropriate just like the Coalition doctors and all claim to dense pack unlike some of the Coalition doctors. What they did say was the following. Three of the above listed doctors said that they were once Coalition doctors but since it cost much more to advertise as a Coalition doctor they decided to just be listed on the website. One told me that there was no difference so that is why he went with the "lower tier" of advertising. His words. Dr. Barrera just said "too much money". He was kind of hard to talk to. I asked them if they new what ultra refined results were. Two chuckled and said that this must be a new term and that people in this business make up all kind of names for the same thing. Two said it was a name that Pat the website owner uses to market doctors. Dr. Barrera, couldn't seem to understand what I was asking and just said he never heard of it. Why don't you people just call yourselves and ask the same questions. I'm sure you will get the same answers. All of the doctors were very courteous and really seemed to care. Thank you.
  13. Hi Pat. If you could check out Dr. William Reed of Ljhr and give us your feedback, that would be great. I understand he will also be attending the meeting. Thanks for a great community here.
  14. Bezane, Thank you for your well thought out reply and for your input. The issues your raise are very important considerations. Hair Transplant "Mills" come is various sizes ranging from national to mini regional mills. I have in the past dropped physicians when they changed their focus from one high quality clinic to a mini mill with multiple locations with work farmed out to their newest prot???©g???©es trainee physicians. Fortunately, Dr. Williams does not fall into this category. He was previously doing consultations only at multiple locations in Southern California, with all surgeries being done in Las Vegas. But he is now focused solely on Las Vegas. He also performs all the surgeries himself. I believe he is very sincere about providing quality results and has his quality control in place. He and his staff also have the opportunity to show that this is the case by sharing their work on this forum. I really feel for Dr. William's dilemma in competing with the commercial operations who have offices in Las Vegas and who promise or say virtually any thing to get a patient into the chair. There are so many considerations in recommending a truly top flight surgeon -ranging from their ethics to their commitment to the latest patients friendly techniques. And the bar for the true "Gold Standard" is moving higher and leaving some behind. No one can rest on their laurels these days - at least not on this forum. All the best, Pat
  15. Embarrassed, I read your detailed surgical account with great concern. I'm very disappointed and troubled by the pain and anguish you have apparently suffered due to your experience with a physician who is currently recommended on this community and a member of the Coalition. I agree that your growth at eight months out is not satisfactory. I'm glad to hear that Dr. William's acknowledged this and at least offered to provide a complimentary session. However, I can understand your reluctance to do another surgery with him given your disappointment. By all indications to date Dr. Williams has been performing ultra refined follicular unit grafting with impressive results, click here for previous examples of his patient results. Your report is the first negative feedback that I have gotten regarding him or his clinic. However, even one such negative patient experience is too many. The main reason for this community's existence is to help patients find ethical and skilled surgeons who provide consistantly high quality results. Generally I think this community over time has done a good job of identifying some of the very best hair transplant surgeons and making info available to potential patients. And on rare occasion when a physician on this community proved to provide less than optimal results or ethical service they were promptly removed. I promise you that I will contact Dr. Williams as soon as possible to discuss your experience, his clinic's operations and what he intends to do to remedy your situation. His membership in the Coalition and his participation on this community will be depend on his response and what I find. I apologize to you for what you have gone through. I will do every thing possible to produce a positive outcome for you. Pat Important Update for all readers - Since this incident featured in this topic occurred, Dr. Williams did an excellent job of taking responsibility and made critical enhancements to his staff and process. Pat Hennessey later visited his clinic to verify the high quality of Dr. Williams?‚?? work on October 22nd of 2007, click here to view the photos and highlights from this visit. Given Dr. Williams willingness to step up to the plate and do what was required to assure that his process and results are world class he has been fully reinstated in the Coalition, see his Coalition profile here. All of the issues discussed in this topic have been fully resolved.
  16. I went to a n/w 5 because of a brutal procedure by an MHR DR. (William Magdalin). Who was absent for 90% of the procedure. When present he went through my existing hair with a multi-bladed knife. He told me it was a one time procedure with "No complications". I now suffer from neuro-vascular problems and thermoregulation difficulties. Besides that , my hair sucks even though i have had 4 repair sessions in the past two years(DUE TO THE ExCESIVE PERMENENT SHOCK LOSS) and will NEVER look 1/2 as good as I did when I started. And hairloss goes on.I hate MHR and everything they lie about and stand for.I'm just saying you could do better. Thats an understatement. Please do more research.Glad to hear Holt is doing better. As of a year ago he was butchering people too.I guess if you break enough eggs. Unfortunately these are people.Oh yea this is just my opinion.
  17. On 9/9/05 I completed what has been a lengthy hair restoration process. On that day, Dr. Rassman of NHI (in Los Angeles) performed a scar revision for me and placed 500 grafts. I highly recommend Dr. Rassman. He performed one prior surgery on me in 2004 in San Jose at NHI after Dr. Roy Jones left. Overall, Dr. Rassman is an excellent surgeon, and is extremely fair (he honored the lower price that Dr. Jones charged), and waived his fees for the scar revision. NHI also payed for the trip to LA and accomodations - maybe because I had 5 prior surgeries with them...nonethelss, it was always a positive experience either with Jones or Rassman and I am very pleased with the results. Perhaps you can find an equal, but not better surgeon, than William Rassman....
  18. The next area that I will be visiting is the DC and Maryland area. Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions regarding physicians in the DC area? I know from this forum and private emails that there are at least a couple of surgeons in the DC area have gotten very poor reviews from their patients. So I will not be visiting their clinics. However, does anyone have experiences or opinions regarding Dr. Gene Conti, Dr. Jamal Yousefi, Dr. Franklin Weinstein, Dr. John Kiely or Dr. William Lindsey in the DC area? Thanks in advance for your input.
  19. I am going on the bald truth radio show to tell the story of how I was lied to and butchered by "Dr." William Magdalin of MHR and his cohort Steve H. and how it has affected my life.It is all true and invite anyone interested including MHR and "Dr." Magdalin to tape it and deny any of it which they do{ "Dr". Magdalin even fabricated what was told to me by him during the consultation to the medical board, it reads more like what he should have said and denies telling me that there were "no complications" which he did at least twice. HE is a pathological liar},how they oversold the benifits of which there we none{only damage}and made claims that no hairtansplant could acheive. I have a witness in my former girlfreind who cannot beleive how profoundly we were mislead and lied to by an M.D. in order that he make a "sale" and how much harm he caused me as a result not only astheticly{Extreme shock loss over my whole head, pitting, scarred irregular scalp, facial wrinkles, scalp discoloraion , seboreic dermititis, etc. }but physically {I no longer sweat from my head and have a bounding heatbeat noone can figure out get flushed whenever I stand up to quickly or exert myself, sharp pains in my head and overall tightness }.Financially {My once thriving business has failed I have lost my house have used up my savings and am in ruins}Mentally{I have been hospitalised 6 times since this has happened to me have been on every anti-depressant under the sun and have even undergone electro-shock therapy as a last resort to try somehow to break this debilitating depression},how we were repeatedly told by he and his conslutant/salesperson that there weren't any complications as this was our main concern, only "great" results from a one time proceedure. That I could go to work the next day.
  20. Yea,A bit bad.The "Dr." was William Magdalin of MHR I was a N/W 2 with thinning I got tricked into a supposed "NO Complication"2,500 mini plug procedure under false pretences and lost most of my hair and my health as a result. I have had 1 repair procedure for the front but I am kind of stripped out and in hindsite should not have done it .I have had some laser (plug removal) on my forehead and temples and some dermabrasion. But my hair and skin is the least of it.
  21. It depends who your Doctor is . When I had my first hair transplant , if you want to call it that . My hair fell out my scap was red full of holes and bumps and very sore I also had incredible swelling and two black eyes. After two months of going through shock over what was happened to me the "Dr."William Magdalin informed me that I had just had a head trauma what did I expect and declared that this was a healed surgery and I was a slow healer . The second was done by a real Doctor to try and improve some of the asthetic damage and camoflage some of the hairloss and scaring caused by "Dr. " Magdalin. I had NONE of the complications from it including the fact that I could'nt tell anything had been done . It looked like a crew cut in the area that was worked on. You must pick your Doctor wisely . PS I still havent recovered from the first "surgery" .
  22. No neither is really able to gotten rid of. It is usually the result of large grafts placed too deep or too shallow by a poorly trained staff usually employed by an equally skilled "DR." In My case it was William Magdalin of (MHR) Boston.

  24. Posted on Sun, Feb. 27, 2005 Here's a way to lick that hair-loss problem by: DAVE BARRY Our topic today, on Breakthroughs in Medicine, is: New Hope From Dog Spit. I have here some very exciting scientific correspondence from William B. Yancey, M.D., who is a medical doctor and therefore legally allowed to (1) park anywhere; (2) give shots; (3) tell people to get naked; and (4) make scientific observations. Dr. Yancey wrote to me about an observation that he scientifically made regarding his Labrador retriever, who is named Refrigerator. Refrigerator recently underwent hip surgery. In preparation for the operation, the veterinarian shaved his hindquarters. Then, realizing his mistake, he also shaved Refrigerator's hindquarters. No, seriously, the veterinarian's hindquarters have nothing to do with this, and I am instructing the jury to disregard them. The point is that Refrigerator had all the fur removed from his rear end (or, in medical parlance, his "bazooty"). If you know anything about dogs, you know how Refrigerator spent his recuperation period: He licked himself pretty much full time. Dogs are very big believers in the healing power of licking. If dogs operated a hospital, here's how it would work: A patient would arrive in the emergency room, and a team of doctor dogs would gather around to conduct an examination, which would consist of thoroughly sniffing the patient. (They would also sniff the floor, in case anybody had left food lying around.) Then, the doctor dogs would hold a conference, and whatever the patient's symptoms were -- coughing, lack of pulse, a spear passing all the way through the patient's head -- the doctor dogs would agree that the best course of treatment was: licking. And we're talking about a LOT of licking. Not just the patient licking himself or herself, but also the doctors licking the patient, licking themselves, and licking the other doctors. This is state-of-the-art medical care for dogs. So anyway, after his operation, Refrigerator was performing medical care on himself, and Dr. Yancey made a scientific observation; namely, that Refrigerator's hair "has grown fastest in the areas where he has spent significant time licking himself." Using this observation, Dr. Yancey was able to form a scientific hypothesis -- a term that is formed from two Greek words, "hy," which means "something," and "pothesis," which means "that pops into your head while you are watching a dog lick itself after you have maybe had a couple of brewskis." Dr. Yancey's hypothesis is this: Dog spit grows hair. In fact, Dr. Yancey believes that unwanted hair, such as facial hair on women and nose hair on men, probably did not exist until the human race domesticated dogs and started getting licked all the time. But the more important implication is that dog spit could be a revolutionary new hair-growth treatment for balding men. Granted, we do not yet have actual laboratory proof of this. But we do have a published report in the form of this column, which has been printed in a newspaper with professional looking margins. So I think it's time to move past the research phase of Dr. Yancey's hypothesis and go directly to the phase where we unleash the power of this amazing discovery to benefit humanity, to make the world a better place, and -- most important -- to make money. Specifically, what I'm thinking of is a franchised line of hair-growth salons, perhaps with a sophisticated name such as La Spitte Du Chien Pour Les Hommes. Upon arriving at a salon, a client would undergo a pre-treatment interview, during which he would be asked a series of scientific questions ("Do you have money?" "How much?"). The client would then be ushered into the Preparation Area, where his scalp would be coated with a scientifically designed, nutrition-enhanced, precision-balanced formulation consisting of Skippy brand peanut butter. Finally, the client would enter the Treatment Area, where he would be instructed to lie down on the floor with his arms at his sides. A door would then be opened, and a professional Hair Growth Technician, barking loudly, would sprint into the room at upwards of 400 mph, skid to a stop, and begin enthusiastically treating the client's scalp. All of the technicians at La Spitte Du Chien Pour Les Hommes would be carefully selected on the basis of friendliness, professionalism, and not peeing on the clients. I grant you that this procedure has a few wrinkles that need to be worked out, such as the issue of creamy vs. chunky. But it makes at least as much scientific sense as the baldness cures you see advertised in magazines. I see no reason why we can't go ahead and start setting up franchise salons, and if any government agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration have any questions, well, they can just send their inspectors around to meet with our Board of Directors, Big Boy and Fang. They love inspectors. It's their favorite meal.
  25. I cut and pasted this, because the link won't work. ----------------------------------------------- Cosmetic Procedures Are Gaining Among Men By WILLIAM McCALL, Associated Press Writer Dr. Marla Ross simulates an injection of Restylane, a gel-based natural ... More... PORTLAND, Ore. - Craig Sowash, a 43-year-old sales manager with a pulp and paper company, says he feels more confident with customers ever since he had the wrinkles on his face smoothed out with a few injections. And if he ever needs a little surgery at some point to produce permanent results, he says, "I won't be shy about pulling the trigger." Competition for corporate jobs among aging baby boomers, along with quicker, cheaper and less invasive techniques, and greater attention to grooming among men are helping drive an increase in cosmetic procedures among the male of the species. Botox injections, which won Food and Drug Administration approval for wrinkle-reducing in 2002 but had already come into fairly widespread use by the end of the 1990s, were the most popular cosmetic procedure for both men and women in 2003, with nearly 334,000 procedures for men and 2.56 million for women, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Botox treatments typically cost about $200 to $400. Traditional plastic surgery rose about 10 percent among men and 14 percent among women from 2002 to 2003, according to society figures. Nose jobs were the most popular surgical procedure among men, followed by eyelid surgery and liposuction. Doctors say they are seeing more and more men trying to take years off their looks. "Men feel that doing some of these procedures gives them a foot up in the business world, a competitive edge," said Dr. Marla Ross, a dermatologist in suburban Tigard who gave Sowash wrinkle-reducing injections of Restylane. Ross also said the age range of her patients has widened, with most of them between 35 and 55. Occupations vary dramatically, from waiters "right up to CEOs of big companies." "You see a lot in the media about `metrosexuals,' or men who are dressing well and taking care of themselves," Ross said. "Probably 15 years ago that would have been ridiculed and now it's acceptable." Dr. Darrick Antell, a leading plastic surgeon in New York City, said women patients tell him they have always compared themselves to the models they see on fashion magazine covers. But now men are making the same kind of comparisons. "From Calvin Klein ads for underwear to GQ, I think the media have made men more aware of how good they should look," Antell said. "They see an ad and say, `I don't have abs like that.'" GMI Inc., a market research firm in Seattle, said a survey in the major industrialized nations found that Americans are more likely than the British or the French to consider cosmetic surgery a negative trend. "Cosmetic surgery is more negatively viewed by Americans because it is threatening to become so commonplace," said Pepper Schwartz, a University of Washington sociologist. "People feel pressured to look a certain way if everyone you know who is 50 is having surgery to look 40."
