Advice on finding a UK surgeon.
Bill - Seemiller replied to PepsiLoving's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I’ve been seeing a lot of plugs for Dr. Ball lately however to be honest, I have not seen much of his work. I am interested however, in exploring it now that several members have claimed that his work is on par with other leading surgeons. But like anything else, we like to be thorough in researching physicians before we recommend them to our community. That said, when I do know is that Dr. Farjo and Dr. Reddy are absolutely outstanding and have proven themselves for years now posting dozens of examples of their first rate results on this forum. Both of them are recommended by this -
Advice for 25yo in UK
Stanners117 replied to Stanners117's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Thank you for all your advice everyone - much appreciated. I’m not rushing into anything and have much more research to conduct before I make a decision. I think I’ll probably wait another 6 months on the finastride to see what effect it has. I would say that I have always had a relatively high hairline and probably started receding at 16 so it’s been a rather gradual process. Hopefully finastride should help halt or slow this process. I agree on the hairline that someone suggested - looks much better! Is there any difference between Dr. Farjo and Dr. Reddy? Which metho- 10 replies

Advice for 25yo in UK
Bill - Seemiller replied to Stanners117's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Despite the few individuals today who will tell you to travel, there are some outstanding hair transplant surgeons in the UK that are on par with other leading surgeons in the world. This includes Dr. Farjo who is an elite Coalition member and Dr. Reddy. Both hair transplant surgeons perform state of the art hair transplant surgery with excellent results in the UK. To view their profiles, visit https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/surgeon-list.asp?StateAbr=UK&sr=HRN I hope this helps. Bill- 10 replies

Advice on finding a UK surgeon.
Melvin-Moderator replied to PepsiLoving's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
We recommend Dr. Farjo and Dr. Reddy, both have a proven track record of providing excellent results. With that said, don’t limit yourself by geographic location go by results. -
Hi guys I'm planning on having an FUE transplant in the UK this summer and have a couple of questions. If anyone could give me informed advice I'd be really grateful I booked a procedure with the Harley Street Hair Clinic after seeing some of the famous patients they've had (Wayne Rooney etc.) Dr. assigned to me is Dr A. Kovacheva who I was told has done over 3000 FUE procedures. They are meant to be a reputable clinic and certainly have some well known patients.. However after researching a little I can find very few pictures of Dr Kovacheva's work let alone comments on or descri

FUE transplant in UK - help!
KYB12 replied to KYB12's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Thanks for the replies. Yes, Dr. Reddy does seem to be highly recommended by his patients. Norwood 5, just out of interest, what are the questions you would have expected? -
I’m based in the UK and looking into my first possible HT and after much research it seems that Dr Raghu Reddy and Dr Farjo appear to be the best surgeons in the England? Can anyone, based on experience advise who is better? I previously visited Dr. Asim Shahmalak for a consultation who advised I should have 2500 grafts- 1000 on the crown and 1500 at the front. But I have not managed to find enough info on Dr. Asim Shahmalak so doubtfully I will use him. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for the best possible surgeon who will give me the best results. Happ

Dr Raghu Reddy V’s Dr Farjo FUE
Bill - Seemiller replied to Classygentleman's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Classygentleman, Welcome to our hair restoration discussion forum. Both Dr. Reddy and Dr. Farjo are excellent in my opinion. I also notice that you seem to be seeking solely FUE. I encourage you to consider both strip and FUE only because each procedure has its pros and cons and some patients are better for one procedure over another. Thus, I encourage you to consider both as you do your research. I encourage you to visit examples of each surgeons results, consult with both of them and then make your decision :-). Best wishes, Bill -
Hi Guys, Of course the 1000 grafts are an approximation Dr. Reddy gave me, as what was paid for is 3000 hairs; and he knows he has to use single hairs for the hairline, as per previously posted on the forum (e.g. here). And as he can do up to twice as many grafts in one day, there is no reason why he wouldn't have the time to carefully select grafts of 1, 3 or more hairs. Again, the hairline enhancement has to be only subtle, much more so than in the examples shown around here, so the majority of the grafts will be used for thickening the existing forelock/midscalp. Check out

Hi Jean, Thank you for your concern and advice. When I said I was mainly looking to improve on the hairline but in a discrete manner, I did not mean to get a thick band of transplants, but focusing on thickening the top while subtly enhancing it, because without a good forelock, as you noted, that hairline will not be durable. I have realistic expectations regarding what I can achieve. If the crown needs a transplant a few years down the line, then so be it. I am prepared to see some shock loss in the following weeks, and possibly keep my hair trimmed for a whole year until both grafts a

Have you had your consultation with Dr. Reddy yet? If so, he should be able to prescribe this for you... If not, reach out to him and tell him you're planning a procedure with him and would love to start propecia and see if he can write you the prescription.

There's really no way to give you advice without pictures. But then you responded saying you're not looking for a consultation… We can't give you a consultation, but I'm not exactly sure what kind of advice you're looking for. Dr. Reddy is recommended by this community and top-notch in my opinion. I don't believe he would steer you wrong. I understand though, that physicians have various philosophies and at the end of the day, you will have to make your own decision based on the advice you've been given. My guess is though, that you will have to have very realistic expectations as

This is not to discredit Dr. Reddy, but I think very few on these forums would consider him to have the reputation or output that rivals Bisanga. The cost of a procedure with Reddy for 2500 FUE grafts is quite frankly completely outrageous too. Just an opinion, but I don't think there is justification for prices at that level apart from the fact that there are those willing to pay it.

I wouldn't base anything off of online consultations, unfortunately it's difficult to know whether you have thinning in the donor region without seeing what's going on microscopically. You live in Sweden, I would suggest taking a short flight to consult with doctors in Belgium like Lupunzula, feriduni, bisanga or even England like Dr. Farjo and Dr. Reddy, if this is something you're seriously considering then it's imperative you see a doctor in person, there's no way of knowing for sure whether you are or aren't a candidate for surgery. To answer your question, if you have thinning in your d

FUE in the U.K.
Melvin-Moderator replied to LosingGround75's topic in Hair Transplant Experiences and Surgeon Reviews
I am a fan of Dr. Reddy, check out this guy life of Steve, his hairline looks impeccable, if I lived in the U.K. and didn't want to travel I'd probably choose him. -
I thought i would come back to the forum and update my thread from my first procedure which was 3 years ago now! Time really does fly! Im still over the moon with my results and have been in regular contact with Dr Reddy over the last 3 years. Im now looking to book in for a smaller procedure that will concentrate on my temple angle closure. Something we planned for when we did the initial FUE. I will post further updates and share my experience once i secured dates with the Dr. Thanks

I disagree that he's too young for a hair transplant. At 28 years old (assuming the year of birth posted on his profile is accurate), getting a hair transplant may just be appropriate depending on other factors. I had my first hair transplant at 28 and though I needed a lot of grafts and it took many years to reach my goals, I'm still very happy with my results 8 years after my last procedure. Prettyboy, I'm not familiar with the clinic "Transform", but if you're in the UK, we recommend some outstanding surgeons who have a long, proven track record of producing outstanding results.

After doing extensive research I have ended up with these two Drs. (yes I considered Dr. Hasson,Bisanga, etc). I have recession and then diffuse thinning in the crown (the latter I am willing to live with and/or address with Finasteride which I am back on for the last 3 months and/or do a second HT later). Right now I want to fix the hairline and behind. Dr. Rahal does amazing hairlines, yet I haven't seen as good results with FUE. I am not totally against FUT but clearly would prefer FUE if possible. I have seen some extraordinary FUE results from Dr. Reddy, and his hairline and

Choosing the correct clinic
Bill - Seemiller replied to Malin180's topic in Hair Transplant Experiences and Surgeon Reviews
Malin, It's great that you are here doing some research before you take the plunge into hair transplant surgery. While I am not too familiar with many of the physicians you referenced, meaning that I've heard of them but haven't seen much of their work or results, I am highly confident in Dr. Farjo and Dr. Reddy you are both highly esteemed and recommended by this community. You can see a multitude of their results on this forum posted by both the clinic and patients. If you have any questions regarding either of these surgeons, feel free to contact me privately or ask the -
Dr. B Sugunakar Reddy, Hair Transplant Surgeon in Hyderabad did a hair transplant on me in Aug 2013, implanted close to 1800 grafts in one sitting using FUT (strip) method . The results were extremely pleasing, he knows what he is doing, clearly told me upfront, that he would need check the laxity of my head skin, prior to promising how many grafts can be implanted. He said, if he takes more skin than permitted, the wound wouldn't be closed properly leaving a huge scar. The hair looked very natural, and no one could tell that I got a HT, the scar is invisible. Great job , Thank you Dr. BSR !

Posting my 1 month pic. Hope everyone's new year started with a bang. Transplanted side : I have shedded around 75 % of the transplanted hair as expected. Although uneven that is there are some on the sides. Front and 1 side are shedded and temples are still there. Temples of one side seems still intact. There is some redness on the transplanted side but nothing usual. Donor side : There is some redness in the donor area, that is it is not completely healed but I have not cared too much about this since there was no pain. I applied aloe vera lotion on this but for two weeks. Now reg

I've always used generic finasteride and I'm confident that it's worked as expected. In terms of brands, I've had Dr. Reddy's and a couple of other brands I can't recall. I did not perceive any difference in effect. I've also used a few different brands of minoxidil from Rogaine to Kirkland to Target brand. As far as I can tell, no difference in quality. I quit using liquid years ago. I prefer foam which does not dry out my scalp.
