I got my hair transplantation done by Dr. Puli Reddy two times. I wouldn't recommend him based on my experience. First time he was Ok, second time he was terrible. He behaved as if he is doing free service. His staff are also not professional and I have a scar on the back of my head that will be there through out my life.

Hi My hair type Norwood IV. I too had same experience with Dr.Madhu and Dr.Puli Ravinder Reddy. Dr.Madhu told me he will transplant 2500 grafts for me in frontal area. But Dr.Puli Ravinder Reddy told me he will transplant both frontal and middle of scalp in one session. Please recommend which doctor to choose.

Hi, fellow follicly frustrated friends New member here. I've spent much time reading these forums, but still have questions about hair transplants. I've decided to go for two FUE procedures. I think I have good hair density in the back and sides (see pictures). I'm of same age (37) and have similar hair as Thor Hushovd (see pictures). He's a famous Norwegian bicyclist, who's open about his two hair transplants (1800 follicles in 2011 and 2013). I've tried to find more details, but only know he got them in England. Dr. Lorenzo and others, which many here speak highly of, afaik use the

I have to agree with you about not going too-aggressive in my first HT, especially with the Hairline. Since I was a Norwood 4/5v looking more like a early-stage Norwood 4 (with meds & supplements), I've been considering a more balanced HT that makes my hairline look natural and improves the Vertex. Regarding the Hairline design, my frontal hairloss is mostly in the temple regions, so my natural hairline from my early twenties is somewhat intact and should serve as a good reference when designing the new-hairline. I likely won't be letting the Doc lower it too much, which *might* prese

1. You are between NW 1 and 2. 2. I think that you should go for conservative hairline. Hairline of a person not suffering from baldness is usually 3 fingers (placed horizontally) above eye brows. If you see that it is 4 fingers in your case, you can go for 1200-1500 grafts. But I must again say that please be conservative. It is okay to have matured harline as you age. 3. Don't know. But what I see is that you have very good hair and you are a good candidate for HT. 4. If you mean nape hair, yes they can be used for frontal hairline and doctors prefer that. But if you are talking about th -

~2000 FUE with Dr Reddy..Great experience!
RobertHa replied to Shacked's topic in Hair Restoration Results Posted by Patients
Hi Shacked, Sounds like you had a great experience with Dr. Reddy! That's an important part of the HT. The transplanted hairs are growing in nicely and the results looks great, so far. Can't wait to see your results at one year! -
Hi All Any idea how to buy Dr.Reddy's Finax in Australia? I found this site "InhousePharmacy" but I am not sure.....any reviews on this site? Any one from Australia ? I worried about customs etc...can we import Finax like this? As Proscar is a prescription only drug in Australia. Any other suggestions...? Thanks

The 80% yield quote for FUE is nonsense many top FUE surgeons get yield as good as Fut eg Feriduni, Erdogan etc. One thing you are missing is the ability to cherry pick with FUE which is probably even more critical with your limited donor. One thing that sparked my move fro. FUE to FUE (I was scheduled for a fut before reconsidering and doing more research). This mean being able to get a better hair per follicle yield. A 2000 fut can yield as low as 3500 hairs while surgeons such as dr. Reddy routinely get 5600 from the same # of grafts. I do not think you will find a $3 surgeon in the uss

Please please do not use one of those clinics ! they are not to be recommended at all. One of them does not have any decent reviews - infact quite the opposite. Please check for recommended surgeons on this forum. There is only 1 person doing decent work in the UK and that's Dr. Raghu Reddy. Give all others a total miss. Or you could travel to Turkey ? a few more surgeons recommended and they offer good value compared to the UK.

Today, I'm not familiar with this surgeon, so I can't comment on his work. Also, the ISHRS does not pre-screen and approve physicians like our community. Any hair transplant surgeon can sign up and be listed. Frankly, I think it's a good organization. However, it isn't one that screens and/or evaluates physicians before listing them on the site. Have you taken a look at our recommended physicians? Dr. Reddy, Shapiro, and Farjo are all on the list.

Hi, not at all, I just wasn't sure if 'evidence' meant you thought I was making an accusation against either Dr. which I surely was not, I've been in contact with both, they are both great. The breakdowns you got are pretty much in line what I did (and not coincidentally those were the last three standing for me, Dr. Diep made it to semi-finals) My breakdowns were (in order I got them): Dr. Rahal: 3900 (FUT) for hairline, temples, and zones I guess 3-4 leaving crown/vertex aloine Dr. Diep: 2500 for front only (would not do multi-days so I don't have a good idea of total, say 35

Dr. Edrogan v Dr. Feriduni
ready4Hair replied to ready4Hair's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Man one thing that is clear when you see his posted results; he LOADS up on 3s and 2s.I mean as in 1/2to 2/3 of his grafts are threes. THat is some serious cherry picking. Like Dr. Reddy on steroids. I do like his work but often his hairline looks a little harsh, that could be the explanation. I wonder if one could ask for more 1s and 2s for hairline? -
I don't really know anything about Dr. Reddy vs generic fin, which is what I take. I know that I've seen done reps say that Propecia is better, which I'm skeptical about. I think that prior may take propecia more regularly because they don't have to mess with cutting it up. I've held strong on my genetic finasteride which has a label use of reducing dht and helping with the prostate, so I'm but switching. So, I can't give you a definite scientific answer and can only say that my genetic has served me well. I don't think you can go wrong with propecia.

Spanker, what is your view on generic (namely Dr. Reddy) versus Propecia? I've read from some people that Dr. Reddys caused them to somehow lose a lot of the gains they felt they made while on Propecia. I've seen others post how their HT doctors were skeptical of the generic brands and thus only prescribed Propecia. I was prescribed Dr. Reddy but after seeing some of these posts.....I figured that I wanted to go with the real stuff for my trial run, at least. 2youngforthis.....my pics wouldn't help because I was using concealers and it made my hair "look" much better than it is. I spent a couple year totally against FUT and considering top FUT surgeons only but after getting close to making the decision started reconsidering my prejudices (poor yield, etc) However I saw some of Dr. Reddy's work and how he can get more hair per FU yield. This led me to start researching FUE in depth. I have diffuse thinning top and receded hairline, but maintain a decent illusion of hair (not full head but not as bad as it actually is) I just started Finasteride to address the crown as I want to leave it out of the first HT and just rebuild strong hairline and some temple w

~2000 FUE with Dr Reddy..Great experience!
Shacked replied to Shacked's topic in Hair Restoration Results Posted by Patients
Things getting better month to month. Guess Im around half way now. Was recently on holiday, talking to a 46 year old that hadn't lost a single hair on his head...he said to me " Well your never going to lose your hair by the looks of it"... My friend from home and I looked at each other and smiled. I usually explain it all to anyone and everyone was just too drunk to bother, but we both thought it funny. Dr. Reddy's FUE is doing the trick so far -

Hey eternal, My experience with Finasteride may help you a bit. I presume you were taking the generic Fin made by Dr.Reddy's or Cipla, as you live in India. In my case with the generics my brainfog and tiredness are intolerable. However with the branded proscar cut in to pieces the side affects are a lot lower. I get proscar imported to India through an online canadian pharmacy. May be you could experiment with the branded one and see how your sides would be. -
Hi, I agree on Dr. Reddy whose work and yield actually made me rethink FUE. I'm thinking though that either of the other two with instructions/requests to do so could get the same yields as clearly they are not guessing on FUs either. Lorenzo does have wow results but more than a few are not hairlines I like or that look natural to my eye. The 6k one plus is an example of "Wow!" and for me at the same time "No!". I'd much prefer to have seen that hairline back a bit and less dense perhaps with more work on the temples. I don't love the 1950's Fabian pompadour. Again he has outstanding yie

I love Feriduni's work truth be told. I liked Dr. Reddy's approach and crunched some #s and he seems to average almost 2.7 hairs per FU which is huge and claims to still leave a good 2-2.2 on remaining donor area. That said I did notice the gaps in his hairlines. Lorenzo's work is stellar but do not love his hairlines (like them, don't love them). Dr. Ferudini seems to me to be the best especially because he believes in temple work and being more aggressive. I have the 'advantage' of being 52 but also a very young 52 on the way up not a 'retire ready' guy but living more of a 30s life. I wa

Who are the best FUE doctors?
nyhairloss replied to chris2010's topic in Hair Transplant Experiences and Surgeon Reviews
I would consider Dr. Lorenzo as well, his cost seems similar to Dr. Reddy. I'm looking for someone who can create an excellent hairline and supporting midline, will do some temple point work, is fairly aggressive, and can get a good hair to follicle yield. For instance in analyzing Dr. Reddy vs Dr. Feriduni FUE Dr. Reddy goes for/gets 2.7 hairs per FU vs 1.7 for Dr. Ferudini. This could be attributed to either skill or choice or a combination of both, but Dr. Reddy clearly has a philosophy of using less FUs and more hairs and, according to his rep here, still maintains 2.2+ hair to fu ratio o -
Who are the best FUE doctors?
nyhairloss replied to chris2010's topic in Hair Transplant Experiences and Surgeon Reviews
I think that even in HT there is room for specialization. One Dr. might be great at repair, another at hairline, another at NW6-7, another at crown. I'm not saying they aren't all part of the same surgical specialty, but it makes sense some would be better than others at sub specialties/skills. Dr. Reddy seems to be to be excellent at getting good/dense hairlines with relatively small amounts of FUEs. Also he does have one posted that he did on 54 year old with pretty advanced balding that was impressive. -
