  1. Hi MayiraPochu, Thanks for the encouraging words... matter of fact I in my research timeframe I went through your entire dossier of Dr.Radha's surgery which indeed convinced me of getting a consult from her irrespective of some of the unsatisfied results around. Great write-up buddy and yes Happy Growing !.. Looking forward to your results & follow-up !!! Some replies/follow-up qns to your response: 1) "It easily needs about a 1000 grafts to bring about a decent transition between the transplanted and the native hair." I agree to the number .. around 800-1000 of them would give enough decent coverage for the density issue. But the main concern is will I be over-zealous right now to have this covered by addnl grafts or should I use it wisely later in future. From whatever I read in forum posts the average number of scalp donor hair a person has varies around ~5500 (not counting body hairs) [correct me if this number is misleading/incorrect]. I have already used up 2200 and extra minm 700 needed for (temples+crown) going by your figures.. which means I would have ~2600 lumpsump left in the bank. If I use up 1000 now for frontal density that just leaves me with 1600 for any potential mid-scalp/further crown loss in future. That's the part which scares me Anyways for this am leaving upto to Dr.Radha's & Dr Bhatti's feedback based on their acumen. 2) "500 grafts should do well on your crown if we were to accept her claim" I would be pleasantly surprised if Dr. Radha quotes something similar for me too (yet to get a reply ) Will it be possible for you to share your acquaintance's member-id. I can PM him individually to get an idea of his operation & feedback. Will definitely help a lot. Also if you din't mind asking why he opted for FUE next-time around as opposed to 1st time FUT? Was scalp-laxity an issue or just he din't want to redo FUT. How was the feedback for Dr.Radha' FUE surgery?.. this would be the 1st time I am reading a post about her FUE opn... also was the recipient area on frontal shaved off even if the case was to increase density only in that area? Also (forgive for my naive understanding of the HT process), will the doctor keep the native miniaturised hairs in the crown section intact in their place or will he/she be plucking them out and instead replacing with new grafts from the back donor area ? Also, I wasn't able to PM you. It opened a tab but nowhere to writeup msg. Am I missing something?
  2. Tedious read! Lol! I don't know where to begin. There s been a plethora of questions thrown around sporadically. Il try and be organised and answer as many I can. 1. I see a daylight between the transplanted hair and the native hair. From your accounts, I take it sparse density was given because of your scalp laxity limitations. It easily needs about a 1000 grafts to bring about a decent transition between the transplanted and the native hair. 2. Your crown might suffice with much lesser grafts than you estimate. An acquaintance of mine (Forum Member) got his crown work done last month with Dr. Radha. She estimated 200 grafts in his PreOp consult for a little smaller crown than yours. We both were shocked. She, in his words, said, "I have a trade secret that helps me achieve the crown illusion with much lesser grafts than my peers". I don't recall how many grafts he actually ended up getting. He did an FUE with her btw. Had a 1000 grafts put in for density in the front as well to strengthen his first transplant he got from her 2 years ago. 500 grafts should do well on your crown if we were to accept her claim. 3. You need to go on Fin BEFORE the surgery than after. If you are in no hurry, 6 months of Fin would be very good. If you are impatient, give it 2-3 months. I do not think you are in any danger of serious shock loss and permanent damage to your existing hair. 4. You are looking for a couple of hundreds in the temple. Roughly, it should all add up to 1700+/- grafts. That makes the Strip procedure worthwhile again. 5. As Dr. Bhatti's website says, you have lost the prime advantage of not having a linear scar by going the Strip route in your first attempt. I don't see why you should opt an FUE unless you can't handle the downtime a strip procedure brings along. And, you will have only one scar. Your previous scar will be replaced with the new one. 6. And lastly, you have hit the nail in the head in your assessments of the doctors. I endorse you word by word on that. Dr. Bhatti's is one of the most thorough website I have seen in the industry, with a wealth of information right down to dollar rates. His patient relations is excellent with his two reps here doing some commendable job. And as for Dr. Radha, she is lackadaisical when it comes to that part of the business, but, she more than makes it up with a good pair of hands and a solid skill set. I won't tell you which procedure or which doctor to choose. But, I will tell you this. It is time for a top up. Go for it mate. Enjoy your 30s!
  3. Yeah, that makes perfect sense. Imagine doing anything repetitive for 8 hours straight! I'd almost settled on either Dr. Madhu or Dr. Radha until the only recent information I could find on them was all negative, regarding unacceptable results and no correspondence with those clients when they sought answers
  4. Hi, I too had great HT from Dr. Radha. Hope you will get good results. Please keep posting. Thank you
  5. Firstly let me congratulate you on your HT! I know i am late but neverthless... I am personally big fan of Dr.Radha works and your thread clearly shows why she is the best FUT doc in India. I have one Question For how long you stayed in Hotel and how was the experience over there? Food? You didn't cover your head while returning home. Any tips?? I guess a soft bandana won't do harm but still shoot your inputs Again thank you for sharing your experience, do keep updating every month. Heal well mate P.S your writing skills are amazing!
  6. I honestly couldn't provide you with a list of doctors based on pricing like that but even if I could, I wouldn't want to because it's dangerous. While price isn't' necessarily a determination of quality, selecting a physician based on price is never a good idea. That said, Dr. Radha is recommended by this community and is outstanding. I would certainly trust her with my scalp and love the work she is producing. Best wishes, Bill
  7. I think you have made s good choice. Dr.Radha is a recommended doctor over here and she is good in FUT. Her cost is reasonable and her skills are equally good. Do share your experience...
  8. Funny thing is you mentioned Dr. Radha and it is her that im probably going with and she charges $1 per graft.
  9. I can't think of a worse idea than an ultra low budget FUT procedure. Look into Dr. Soni and Dr. Radha at least.
  10. Hi guys, sorry for the "very" late reply, i had problems with my password and sorta just gave up for awhile. Anyway thank you for the feedback i have booked in a transplant with dr. Radha in india and hoping to get 3000 to 3500 fut performed in november, thought i better get the ball rolling because im just wasting away atm not doing anything with my life because of my situation. Hope she pulls a rabbit out of the hat for me.
  11. Hi transhair, im from australia and i had smp performed about 2 years ago, from my experience i would strongly advise against it, although it may look good to begin with it doesnt take very long before the detail in each pigment starts to deteriorate, this happened to me within just a few months and now at 2 years it just looks like a smear of grey. Within 3 to 4 months i was finding myself grabbing for my hat everytime i walked out the door i now wear my hat basically from the time i wake up to the time i go to bed. Smp should be outlawed imo. I've booked in a transplant with dr. Radha from india in early November and hoping shes good enough to give me back some quality of life, Fingers crossed.
  12. Hi Mates, Yesterday (22nd Feb 2013) i had my first HT with Dr. Radha Rani. It was an unbelievable experience for me. The scalp looked very neat after the HT... It never looked like bulby or messy kind of scabs over the scalp. I have seen many scalps looks very weird immediately after surgery done by other HT surgeons. But my scalp just looked like we have just trimmed our hair.. What a perfect kind of work she have attained! I agree there was some blood spots on the first day and disappeared on third day. I would suggest Dr.Radha Rani to any one than any doctor in INDIA. It was an awesome experience for me. In fact i have done 10 days of intensive research on net and have visited 5-7 famous HT surgeons of INDIA before this. Finally decided to do HT with her. The most important thing i liked her is that she was with me around 70-80% of the overall surgery time. Do you know most of the famous HT clinic here in Hyderabad, are peforming 3-4 surgeries a day in parallell... ? How come, you can expect you get a good personal attention even if the doctor is most reputed? How come he can maintain his concentration with 3-4 parallel surgeries? In the mean time, he goes out to consult outpatient clients to get new business. Do you know one famous HT surgeon of Hyderabad has told me that my donor area is tight and only 1500-1700 graphs could be taken out? But i have consulted more surgeons and most of them disagree with his opinion. With Dr. Radha Rani, she could able to extract 3200 graphs through FUT strip method. She told me that my skin is firm only but not tight. She was too little confused why this Hyderabad famous doctor, told me like this. But i could found out the reason easily at last. Because he just want to complete more sessions in a day fast...!!! Dr. Radha Rani does only one surgery a day. This is why you are finding hard to get a surgery date with her. With most of the famous HT surgeons of Hyderabad, you can easily get a date with in 3 weeks, because they perform 3-4 surgeries a day. More over if you are a foreigner and are ready to give some extra money, you will get instant surgery date!!!! But with Dr. Radh Rani, she is very humble to take care of you, but very rarely she immediately promise a date even if you are a foreigner. My advice to new HT patients is to do not go any where else. Do not spend any more time on net... Just try to get a surgery date with her. If you are lucky enough, you can get in 5-8 weeks time. And i am sure you are in safe hands... Please note that I am not an advertiser of Dr. Radha Rani. What ever i have written above are came from my heart directly. I have written every thing sincerely here. You will also feel to write like this about her, once you have experienced a HT session with her. You will be amazed with her skills and her staff's professionalism. One thing i would agree is that the Dr. Radha rani's clinic is not up to the mark, except the operation theater (OT) and hair washing rooms. The main visitors lounge has to be maintained well by Dr. Radha Rani. I think she is more interested in delivering her excellence to patients rather showing the richness of the clinic just like most of the HT clinics do to attract the customers. I think the main reason is because of she is really busy with surgery every day. Still i would say the clinic looks neat and it is fully air conditioned. I am ready to help you personally if you are from Hyderabad to see my scalp and solve any doubts about her skills. I would rather say to feel her divine kind of work , than going for any kind of money minded doctors.
  13. Hello All, I'm 25 years old. I have been following this forum for years now and finally decided to go for a hair transplant in India. With the limited choice available in the market it would be great to get ur opinions. I would ideally prefer a FUE for lowering my hairline(1500-1800 grafts recomended). I had consultation with Dr A (FUE)and the results seem good on his website. Alongside my other considerations are Dr. Radha Palakurthi (FUT) and Dr. Madhu (FUT), both of whom are highly recommended on this forum. The criteria I'm seeking is to achieve a dense hairline using lateral slit technique, irrespective of whether its FUT or FUE since all the doctors mentioned above are very careful with extraction to preserve donor area. Please give your valuable advice Cheers.
  14. hello all,im having hair loss almost 7 year ,i tried many treatment and at last i decided to do HT ith Dr.radha as one of my friend suggested ,the surgery i did on 12/11/2015 with 4700 graft according to doctor and sugery last 14hours,it as very difficult task for dr.radha as i had severe seborrheaic dermatitis which leaves me scar over my scalp anyway she did an excellent job especially the whole procedure performed by herself, she charged 60/graft, ill update you my progress .thank u,i would recommend 100% dr.radha to anyone
  15. Hello, Am from India and my hair loss is at norwood 4 level currently. I have been planning for a hair transplant since a long time and came to know about the surgeons through this forum. I had shortlisted Dr.Pradeep Sethi and Dr.Radha as per the experiences posted by members here and I have decided to go for the transplant with Dr.Pradeep Sethi at Eugenix. Most probably this month. Just wanted to get advise on my decision from the experienced members here. Would be glad if you can enlighten me on any precautions that I need to take. Thanks
  16. Hi! Can't compare the two, as I have had experience only with Dr. Radha. Find my HT thread for information. PM me if you have questions. Cheers!
  17. Who is the best FUT Strip Surgeon in India Dr. Suneet Soni or Dr. Radha Rani Palakurthi.
  18. Who is the best FUT Strip Surgeon in India Dr. Suneet Soni or Dr. Radha Rani Palakurthi.
  19. Thanks Khali! Vinod - Hello mate! I was wondering why would you ask me the graft count, as I have covered it already in the earlier posts. I just found out I didn't. Lol! One of the most important detail! I guess it got lost with my wait for the doctor to give her complete set of official numbers. 3442 grafts in total. Covering only the Pizza slices I have described earlier. No in-between transplantation was done. Dr. Radha charges 60 rupees per graft. And no idea about the other doctor you are asking about. I suggest you open a new thread for such questions as it will be gotten lost here as an arbitrary post. Cheers!
  20. Here is a short Pros and Cons list of Dr. Radha's: Pros: You ve seen these before in my first post. Though, there are a couple of notes added after my own experience post surgery. 1. Has documented good results over the years, barring a few cases. 2. Highly regarded on the forum. At one point as the best strip surgeon in the country. 3. Runs her clinic ethically. No advertisements. No agents. 4. One surgery a day. She is very hands on. Does majority of the work by herself. Post surgery addition: This, I can vouch for from my own experience now. 5. She talks very good English. Very good interpersonal skills. I suppose that's a bonus for the overseas patients. 6. Well qualified staff. Some of those talents imported from Bangkok at great cost, she says. (I am sure most know she was trained by Dr. Path for a year) Post Surgery addition: In my surgery, all the technicians were Indians. 7. Charges 60 per graft. No other hidden charges. Cons: 1. Slow email correspondence. (Sometimes, it looks a bit cavalier. But, she writes her own emails. It is not delegated to her staff. That is a great thing, as you are not getting a reply for namesake, but actual thought out replies from the best possible person for your queries. So I would say this is in a grey area. Still, I will leave this in the Cons.) 2. Lack of organised information. (Her website is below par. Compare Dr. bhatti's and Dr. Radha's and you will know what I mean. If you visit Dr. Bhatti's once, you wouldn't even have to email the clinic regarding anything. It basically has every single information from the basics of hair transplant to the US dollar conversion rate. It is that thorough. I am comparing two doctor's websites and not the doctors themselves. I am just trying to present a live example of organised information availability and nothing else. In this age of information technology, a decent website will help the patients and the clinic a long way.) 3. Lack of organised communication. (This, I felt has to be addressed with no discussion. I was not given PreOp instructions before hand. I was given the day before the surgery. Among barring of alcohol consumption and smoking, there was a 10 pointer list that had to be followed from the week before the surgery. So, giving that list a day before the surgery makes no sense. I am an informed patient and I knew what not to do before the surgery. But, not all are. The clinic should treat all the patients as if they have 0 knowledge about hair transplant. But, all relevant, necessary information, details and nuances of the surgery was explained by the doctor and her staff both in the PreOp consult and on the surgery day and even through the surgery.) Summary: In short, would I go back to her? Every single time. I don't have to wait for the result. I know she did a great job. I know I am going to get a good result, unless those pissed off moments I told I am going to write about ruined it. Will I recommend her to other people? Every single one of them.
  21. So, the PreOp consultation. Before that, a little write up on the stay in Vizag. I stayed in Budhil Park. It is about 3 mins ride by vehicle to Dr. Radha's. Except for the poor views from the hotel rooms and Vizag in general has to offer atleast in and around the hotel and the clinic (It is the prime market place of Vizag), the hotel itself was very good. Great food! I will attach some pictures below. (I booked it through make my trip. Which always gives a lesser price than the hotel s original tariff. I paid 2200 for a night, which I think is about 1000 bucks less than the original tariff. Great facilities these are for the price. I hear, The Pioneer, which is again near the clinic is very good too.) PreOP Consultation: I won't be going on about how well the clinic was maintained and how warm the people were etc. This is cosmetic business. Service is crucial in this industry. So, naturally any decent clinic is going to be very nice to you. But, then there are these little things like ethics, transparency, honesty and being up front about what to expect and what could be the outcome of the surgery etc, instead of presenting a glorifying picture are more important than presentation. Which, I found in abundance with Dr. Radha's. Its not to say that there are no areas they slack. In fact, there is one very important aspect they should work heavily on. Which I will mention in the Pros and Cons in the summary. (The clinic was clean and contemporary. Most importantly, well equipped. But nothing fancy, like some of the cosmetic clinics you see. So, I won't be putting up pictures of it.) Blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and C were done as the first thing in the clinic. The doctor explained the whole procedure in detail (Which I already knew it all. Thanks to HRN). On inspection of my head, she said I would need 2800-3200 grafts to match the density of the existing hair (In our email correspondence, she had estimated 2000-2400 grafts. Not just her, but most clinics). Area to cover: Don't know the technical term for the area. I have good hair at the centre as you have seen in the pictures above. Doctor said the density in those areas is in fact is very good. Let's say, if you place a pizza slice on both sides of the head, that's the area to cover. A rough hair line was drawn. I was asked if I was okay with it. I told her, I completely surrender to her. She can do whatever she feels is right. Being it surgical or aesthetics. I believe in researching big. Finding a doctor as a by product of your research. Trust in her. And completely surrender. All your doubts and skepticism has to be dealt with during the research period. There is no saying that this is the correct method. This is how I feel it should be. I discussed in length about how certain patients, not just hers, but anybody's may not have good results. I told her I totally understand there are lot of factors like physiology, Pre or Post care etc which may not give good results and that I am prepared for a bad outcome too. I believe we had a certain camaraderie between us and good understanding. All the talking business was over with this. It was time to get down to real business. I was given a Betadine solution to wash my hair that night before bed and the morning before surgery. I was asked to report at 8 to the clinic. PS: I was also given a couple of Valiums to take that night for my sleeping difficulties. I have been having disturbed sleep for over a year. And I slept well that night I must say.
  22. Yes there are female hair transplant surgeons and we actually recommend several of them. Dr. Keene, as somebody referenced is a highly esteemed Coalition member and does ultra refined work. She is well known for her very natural looking hairlines. Dr. Radha Palakurthi is female and doing outstanding hair transplant surgery in India. She is also recommended by this community. There are of course other female hair transplant surgeons you have not been approved for recommendation by this community however, having been to several ISHRS meetings, there are no doubt male surgeons than female surgeons. Best wishes, Bill
  23. No idea about US but Dr. Radha Rani from India she is good FUT surgeon and also recommended over here
  24. i am decided to undergo HT with Dr.Radha Rani.I need the Recent feedbacks in 2015 about her HT. It will immencely help[ me to do my HT with her The doctor is located in Visakpatnam india. is my decision is right since i need to do at least 3500 grafts to be implanted
  25. Thank you for showing great concern about her. First of all i am Dr. myself and i had such a good conversation with her before the surgery and immediately after it. First and foremost thing when i called her up on her whatsapp number after around 8months post , she replied she is in some emergency and wont be able to respond to my calls. but when i called up the clinic the same they , they answered me saying Dr.Radha is busy in surgery and they will give me a call back once she is back from OT. That was the last time i received a proper reply from the clinic. There were a couple of incidents which has happened. when i called up the clinic and used my real name , they said dr.radha is not avaliable and they have no idea when she will be back from states. When i called them up with a different name and from different number they replied to me saying i can get a date after a couple of months. What do you think of it ? I kept calling on her whatsapp number several times but there was no response.Further on I received so many conflicting answers from her clinic and it was disappointing. I had my surgery in december 2014 and the last reply i received before she went off was 6 months post op. The next reply which i received from her was in march 2017 and that too after a lot of persistence from David-The moderator and the admins. I lost trust in her , it was not only the financial aspect but also the respect i had for her which went down the drain. I just felt terrible and still do the same. You are just saying things in her favour without revealing anything which had happened. If she cared so much about her patients she would replied us or updated the mods about the situation which was happening. I had a bad experience with her and i underwent another HT from another dr. and moved on with my life. The reply i received from her in march was sorry as i couldn’t reach to her . what can i do for you ?
