  1. Hi Folks, Long time lurker; My very first post here with the intent to share and contribute based on my upcoming surgery in India with Darling buds and most importantly “ My results “ in the next few months. I feel morally obligated to contribute at least something back to this community that offers : A worldwide network of HT experts, reputed Senior members sharing invaluable info, Top rated HT surgeons positioning their point of views and most importantly "real patients sharing real stories". Background Male in mid-thirties from Canada; NW 3 - Less/More. Past 6 years were dark and depressing. Living in a fool’s paradise; using Toppik daily assuming everything’s fine but somewhere at a deeper level; it continuously bothered me. Finally in 2019; I made the big decision to get a HT. This website is the main reason as to why I was able to solidify on my research, move ahead with a concrete decision and was able to find one of the best doctor (just being positive here) as per my checklist/strict criteria. Special thanks to the Creator of this website – Kudos to the brain that kicked off this humanitarian initiative as it continues to educate millions of potential patients like myself. Why Darling Buds India (I guess they changed the name to 5 Rivers Hospital ) This piece takes forever to decide especially for someone like me who spends gazillions of hours on the Internet/YouTube/Forums. I was always skeptical about giving my Head to someone to be operated; so consulted with many Canadian, American, European, Indian and Turkish clinics. Many reputed names like Dr. Rahal ( Known as the hairline king from Canada), Dr Acar ( Cosmedica Turkey), Dr. Erdogan ( Turkey), Aestimed ( Turkey), LA Hair ( USA), Qunomedical ( Belgium & German clinics), Dr. Cinik ( Turkey) and the list goes on……………………………………………. but None fitted my checklist in it's entirety reflecting 8 Key deciding factors that was prepared after extensive research for years 🙄 : 1. Max cost under 10,000 CAD ( 7500 USD ) for 3500-4000 Grafts to be able to achieve maximum density in my case. YES, I decided to find the best treatment within this range. IMHO, paying this much should suffice in getting you a world class, still affordable HT in today’s age with advanced Technologies, Globalization, the power of internet and competitive market. It's costing me around 9000 CAD ( including some expensive flight tickets) with Dr. Bhatti which seems adequate for the reputation he has or rather a steal ( not sure - will tell later) If budget wasn’t a constraint, I would’ve booked Dr. Rahal ( Canada ) who is local to me OR Dr. Baubac ( Alvi Armani USA) more importantly to save myself from the hassle of flying 20 hours one way, then drive to a different city, book a hotel for a week, apply for a visa, Take few weeks of vacation from work etc. Dr Rahal charges 8 CAD per FUE, most other clinics would cost the same in N. America for FUE Treatment. It’s costing me around 2.40 CAD with Dr. Bhatti ( includes all international/ Local flights, Visa, Hotel, Food, Cab etc.). If you compare Dr Bhatti's fee with his peers who fall in the same reputed arena of global doctors, I think most would sign this off as a great offering for hair loss patients globally. Eugenix quoted around 4 CAD per graft but it was for DHI method. They produced some great results lately and they are the inventors of DHI which is now adapted globally; goes to show that they are researchers also - very impressive. As of 2019, I think Dr. Bhatti and Eugenix should be compared as top players if India is the selected destination for your HT Journey ( My comparison below) I almost finalized Eugenix over Dr. Bhatti but then based on my research, took a U Turn : Eugenix positive aspects: 1. Biggest is DHI - OUT/IN grafts within minutes. Definitely better method as compared to Traditional FUE . I could only find positives so far, no negatives on DHI. It's hard to logically beat DHI method with traditional FUE; so no doctor should even try it IMO. I wish Dr Bhatti would offer DHI to his patients by now ☹ 2. Clinics are located in major cities like Delhi and Mumbai. No need to drive / fly again from major airport all the way to Chandigarh. Eugenix Negative aspects: 1. Some patients mentioned that they were taken for a ride. Eugenix Docs prey on foreign nationals; after or during mid surgery – Dr. Bansal asked for 500 more grafts payment as required and payment must be done during the middle of the operation ( insane); also no breakdown/reasoning was provided in the end. On the contrary, Darling buds has returned some fee to few patients to their surprise which is a classy act of ethical business in my opinion (hard to find) 2. Eugenix costs are almost double than Darling buds( quite expensive for many) but anyways DHI is more costlier than traditional FUE globally and if results are better with more graft survival rate, most patients wouldn't mind paying more. 3. Eugenix is run in a satellite office format, more than one location and hard to get a hold of prime doctors - Dr. Sethi and Dr. Bansal where as Dr. Bhatti provides a peace of mind with one location, one clinic, one doctor who is also the owner of that entire facility with 15 good staff members well trained under him in a peaceful non polluted city near a hill station. #3 was a critical factor in my decision to go with Dr. Bhatti In short, I would’ve loved DHI for best results but I settled with FUE for now Note: Out of thousands, This site recommends ONLY 2 surgeons from Turkey, 7 surgeons from India and 1 from Canada ( I was surprised to see only Dr. Rahal in the list, yes Hasson is there but they're again advocates of FUT ), so HRN really helped me short list 10 surgeons before making the final call 2. ONLY FUE for ME – My heart said a Big “No“ to a linear scar; doesn’t matter if some Doctors persuade you with somewhat genuine reasoning's to avoid FUE such as : FUE provides Less density, FUT offers more grafts and saves Donor area as untouched for future sessions, FUE is a blind process etc. Dr. Feller and Dr. Soni ( Medispa India) seems like the two biggest advocates of FUT over FUE and I agree with some of their explanations as it sounds logical. Dr. Soni really pushed me to sign up with FUT and said his scar technique is different. Promised that he will close it in a way where almost no scarring is visible . It was tough buying into that argument, additionally recent negative reviews about him and I finally decided to brush him aside at that point. 3. Doctor MUST perform the operation (No technicians) – I could only find someone as reputed as Dr. Bhatti who performs 80% of the procedures that includes Hair trimming (to feel your hair ), Anesthesia, FUE Extractions with motorized punch and Incisions. In Turkey where I was almost sold at one point, all operations are run by Technicians. Not a Plastic surgeon, no educational background/ competency level ( it's scary as they're known as the butchers of HT industry) I wish Dr. Bhatti would implant the grafts too ( not his nurses) for extra cost but I guess it will be a tedious job for a busy surgeon to sit for another 4 hours or so ....... Am I asking for too much 4. World class facility matching North American standards : with Heart rate monitoring, proper blood tests, blood pressure check up, spotless , Face coverings during entire operation and sterile environment. 5. Super microscopes and Magnifiers is a must ( Most Turkish clinics operate with naked eyes, when I asked they tried to sell me bull *&**** ) This is extremely important during all 4 phases of operation : Extraction – To make sure proper gaps are left in between grafts in the donor area and get the right angle before using the punch. Sorting – To count how many pure singles, doubles, triples and quads ( if any ) are collected. Incisions – To ensure least collateral damage, magnifier will show 6 x scalp surface so during incisions, holes are made at the right angle, depth and only on bald scalp areas ( not where you've some fine hairs). This should also minimize some shock loss in the post op phase. Implantation - Imperative to only use pure singles / baby soft hairs in the very first few rows of hairline and Temples. If by mistake, they implant doubles – it will give a pluggy look and I would rate that transplant as 50% failed right then and there. If during implant, nurses grab a multi - haired graft, at least microscopes will allow them to revisit to find a pure single graft and then insert it in the right spot. Joe Tillman's video is quite helpful : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeQ4ZvEHb7Y 6. Doctor should have a solid reputation on major forums, hair restoration network, should be well read, traveled, have some global exposure, recommended by Bald-truth, Spex and many other HT mentors like Joe Tillman. Dr. Bhatti checks all those boxes. Yes – there are some mixed opinions about him (and every other Top HT surgeon out there) but perfection is impossible to achieve; so I decided to just look at the bigger picture and go for it. 7. Detailed info, pre op care, post op care, regular contacts and supporting your patients in their hours of greatest needs is of utmost importance. Its well know that Dr. Bhatti, Shera ( his rep) , California would contact their ex. Patients regarding some concerns, would stand by them and not disappear. This was impressive. 8. Patient advisor should be genuine, honest and straightforward – So far, Shera has been awesome, friendly and taking care of all my minor/ major concerns. Always reachable, quick responses and a real time patient who has experienced the same Doctor few years ago first hand. In the long run, it helps to have a contact like him for small chats if need be. I will continue to share my Journey with Darling buds and also, highlight If any red flags are there. So far, I’m just one naive internet researcher in this field who talks based on theories and hypothetical situations, I don’t have any practical experiences yet. Assuming I've made a good decision by choosing this clinic (over others) and trying to keep a positive mindset hoping I will be in good hands is the only thing I can do now. One Sr. Member said it wisely – “For Dr. Bhatti and his staff ( or other clinics) 18th March will be just another day with another patient like thousands came before and will come after, but for a patient who’s been researching on this constantly day/night, it’s a big life event and 18th is one of the most important day of his life after which either he could regain his lost confidence or could loose it forever “ After all, handing off your head to someone for the entire day isn’t one easy decision I’ve seen members here supporting each other against doctors if results aren’t satisfactory. That speaks volumes and the main reason as to why I joined here to gain support from my so called “Anonymous hair restoration family” Dr. Bhatti's hairlines were talked about – not too dense? Any suggestions? Should I revisit this with him ? I don't want a sparse hairline but Not sure if this was an old issue (one -off) Also, I’ve not met Dr Bhatti for any F2F consulting yet or a video consultation, plan is to meet him a day before my procedure. So far, Shera is my driving force. I’m hoping for a life changing experience (like many others), regain my lost confidence and I always say “ Hope “ is something that brings us to these Doctor’s doorsteps. Yes finance and reviews are important aspects but we all hope to be treated in the best possible way during our special treatment day. A little daunting for me to fly all the way, get operated in a surgical room, holes in my head but I’m collecting all the courage in this world to get this done. Shera is helping like one true Samaritan If some of you are able to read this completely, my apologies for such a long note but this is the only forum where I am able to write everything anonymously and vent out if need be. My Journey to be continued……………………………………………………………………………………............................................
  2. I have read quite a few reviews about Eugenix on this platform and most them are about procedures done by Dr. Pradeep Sethi. People say that Dr. Arika Bansal is equally good. Is it really the case and it's just about technique they use or Dr. Pradeep is actually having an edge? P.S.- This is only because I don't see much reviews about Dr. Bansal. Any experiences or opinions about this please.
  3. A wide forehead with a sparse receding hairline is a problem with many women. Repeated blow dries, styling, hair cuts, attachments, wigs, etc. are options that one often resorts to. When we think of hair transplants, a picture of a middle-aged male balding pops up in our heads. Well, here Dr. Apratim Goel, a celebrity Dermatologist from Mumbai, shares her journey of hair transplant with Dr. Pradeep Sethi from Eugenix Hair Sciences. The decision making, the procedure, the after effects and results after 6 months. Also, these are permanent results and hence it's worth the efforts. Check it out and in case you suffering from a similar problem do go through our website www.eugenix.in

  5. Which one is better at the present time- Dr. Tejinder Bhatti of Darling Buds or Dr. Pradeep Sethi/Dr. Arika Bansal of Eugenix? Please share your experiences and feedbacks.
  6. Hello everyone! So I have been reading a lot of material on this forum. I have definitely received a tremendous amount of information from here. It has helped me a lot during my immediate post transplant phase. I believe that my own experience with hair transplantation could help others who are seeking the same too. Therefore, I have decided to post the entire documented journey of my transplantation procedure here on this amazing forum. Here it goes: I started to lose hair by the age of 23. The loss was very gradual and it was difficult for me to have noticed the decline in my density. Eventually, when the hairline stared to recede drastically and my look started to change for the worse, I started to panic. I never knew anything about hair. I was scared that it might be a disease or some form of disorder. But even that was not enough to compel me to visit a doctor and understand the situation. I started with different home remedies and self imagined cures in the forms of advertised shampoos or oils. However, the hair loss did not stop. I started to notice more and more hair come off every time I combed my hair or even if I wet it. The worst part was that I was losing all confidence because of my hair situation. I started using hair products and other styling products to help hide my baldness. But as most of you might know, that doesn't really work. However, to come to the point of all of the above, it was only after I met Dr. Arika Bansal and Dr. Pradeep Sethi that they actually told me the honest truth about hair loss intervention. They made me understand the why and the how. And also what should be done to address the issue. For the already bald area, it was too late. But for my pre existing hair, I was recommended Finastride at a dosage of 0.5 to 1 mg. I swear by this medication because i have 0 hair loss since I have started taking that medication. For the bald area, the doctors gave me a transplantation of 2815 grafts. I knew about hair transplantation prior to this too. But I was not sure whether i would be able to go through with it. I was definitely scared of the pain. I couldn't quite bring myself to go for the procedure. However, the procedure was painless, contrary to my belief. It was simple. But it was lengthy (oh well!). And you gotta do what you gotta do. So now through the pictures, I shall show you the progress of my results.
  7. But, as far as I have read, Dr Pradeep and Dr. Arika don't do extractions?
  8. Here is my first time posting here and I am sharing my experience with an intention that this might help with someone who is currently in the same situation as I was in 6 months ago. Short review: Dr.Arika and Dr.Pradeep are truly talented, caring and phenomenally competent people and I couldn't have asked for any better. You can't go wrong with them. Longer version : A little history about myself: I am 27-year-old male, born and raised in India but living in United stated since the past 7 years. I noticed some thinning in the frontal area with my hairline receding but I haven't gone bald as such. I was in a limbo for quite some time whether to go for a transplant or not because some would advice for and some otherwise. After a few consultations from different practices parts from the world, I narrowed down to three surgeons, Dr.Padeep, another One in NY (Whos name I don't want to share for privacy reasons) and one in LA. Next week I requested a skype call with Dr.Padeep and he was more than willing and patient to answer literally every single question I ever had and by the end of the call, It was a very easy decision as I knew He is the doctor I wanna work with. So I made the decision to go to India to get this done. Even though I didn't care about cost at that time I should mention, It costed me less than 20% of what It would have costed me to get the same thing done anywhere else in the united states (That includes the flight tickets and everything) For international patients : If you are traveling from abroad I'd advice you to choose Delhi as your place of surgery even though they have many clinics in multiple places over India. They provide you accommodation (It's pretty good actually I was pleasantly surprised) and food (even though I ate out every day haha ) and bottled water and the ambiance is extremely clean , I know people from outside can fall sick very easily due to change in environment but I did just fine because it was very well maintained and they also offer you a pick up and drop off to the airport. Even though if you have never visited India, this whole experience will be smooth as butter. Nelson was always accessible, Made sure everything was just in place starting from morning coffee to the time I went to bed. My experience with the procedure : Dr.Padeep said I'd need about 1400 grafts and He made hairline design and the slits. We had a chat before to get all my questions answered once again but I barely had any because I was confident I was in good hands. One thing you'd notice in Eugenix is they are not commercial. they are not after your money, they are not trying to take every penny from you in every way possible. They treat you like family. Anyway, Dr.Pradeep made me very comfortable throughout the procedure It was never like a surgery, It was just like two friends chatting and having a good time lol! Next Dr.Arika did my extractions and I can't speak enough of her. She is the best. I believe they are like 5 people from India who are members of IAHRS and she is one of them. Her work is world class and I remember a day after the surgery I was upstairs (accommodation they give you is right at the hospital ) and accidentally hit my head to something and I texted her that I was worried if my grafts are damaged as they were just one day old. She immediately came and saw me and made sure everything is okay. I am just saying this to show how much they care and the concern they have for their patients. I remember Dr.Alok also gave me his number and insisted calling me even in the middle of the night if I had a question (which I happened to actually a couple of days later and he answered it on phone ) . you cannot get this level of care and attention anywhere else. I am so happy to have met these guys. Post care: I am just 2 weeks old with the surgery and they created a whats app group with all the docs, and I keep asking any questions and comments and they respond back right away. The only glitch that ever happened in this whole process was - long story short there was a small miscommunication between me and one of the office staff person regarding the number of days of my stay. But when I had to get on a call to clear of the confusion and tried clarifying things, it was not even a debate, they were more than welcoming to whatever my resolution was and made sure I was happy. My final verdict : I couldn't be any happier with them. and especially if you are aboard I seriously encourage you to consider them before making a decision. I can't speak for every doctor in Eugenix but I know for a fact you can't go wrong with Dr. Arika.
  9. If your budget is limited and you are okay with traveling to India then you should consider Dr. Pradeep Sethi. Though he has performed limited number of Caucasian patients, his experience in dealing with high norwood cases and giving good density is really impressive. Also, I haven't yet seen any failure results from Dr. Sethi so far. Besides you have a large donor area, and Dr. Sethi could do almost about 5-6 k grafts procedure.
  10. Dr. Bhatti is a truly great Doc in India. With a great team and a great representative in Shera. You will be very well looked after....great people. There is another highly recommended clinic on this forum in India.... EUGENIX....Dr.Pradeep and Dr Arika. Either way you cant go wrong in my opinion. ..............Paddy......... .
  11. The index patient had Grade VI plus baldness and decent scalp donor and had a great beard. And the patient had no intention to flaunt a beard ever. He had a washed out temple area and because of which his forehead was looking wide and augmenting his bald look and he was worried about a natural hairline and natural temple. We tried to recreate the hairline and the temple. He had a lighter shade of skin close to Caucasians and the hair-skin colour balance was important in his procedure. His donor scalp was not great, it was average. So we did about 300 grafts on each side of his temple and close to 3000 odd grafts on his frontal zone up to the mid-scalp (we were more concerned about the fronto-temporal angle which was deep) and we did not plant more grafts on the central region and the crown and we deliberately planned more grafts for the next session. The patient started experiencing hair growth and look change towards the end of 3 months and by 6 months he had enough hair for a haircut and a look change! We are posting this result after 6 months and expecting more hair to come within 6 months from now. Note: Temple and hairline

  13. At Eugenix, we believe in disseminating medical knowledge to the younger generation. In this pursuit, we have started our University Collaborative Fellowship of one year, where we provide comprehensive training of the art and science of hair transplantation to qualified dermatologists. Dr. Sri lekha Sarvepalli is the first student selected by DY Patil University, who is currently doing a one-year fellowship under the mentorship of Dr Pradeep Sethi (Honorary Professor Dermatology – Hair Transplantation).
  14. Hi Kevin, I get where you're coming from (I think :)) and understand as I had similar questions before I signed up with Eugenix for my HT. Specific to Eugenix, I'll share my understanding and I've also seen @Looking for HT, @ahmedabad_guytalk about this. Eugenix do HT's in Gurgaon and Mumbai. They have four main doctors in their Gurgaon. And, the packages they offer vary based on how much is the involvement from Dr. Sethi / Dr. Bansal. And, it will always be a doctor carrying out all parts of the transplant except the graft placement (done by technicians under Doctor's supervision). I belive this is the same with most doctors. In my case, I've gone for Option 1 (Top package) ,as I have assumed that the results shown here are primarily from Dr. Sethi & Dr. Bansal, as I've read a post by @Melvin-Moderator that the recommendations here are for the doctors and not for the clinics. My experience with Dr. Sethi & Dr. Bansal has been good so far and I'll keep the community updated. Hope this gives some clarity on what you're looking for. Thanks
  15. Hi. You are on right choice. I done with Dr. Sethi. If you don't have any price Issue then go with Dr. Sethi. You will be happy after your results. Other doctors also very good and experience. But I just share my experience Best of luck
  16. Hey @LeftHook- I've booked up with Eugenix for late July as well. I've gone for Option 1, just to have the peace of mind in knowing that Dr. Sethi / Dr. Bansal will be involved in all aspects of the transplant.
  17. Hello Kevin, Thank you for showing your interest in Eugenix Hair science for the Hair transplantation. Kindly share the communication on digital@eugenix.in which was received from the Dr.Sethi's team along with your photographs in the same format which were requested during your initial consultations. We trust our doctors to resolve their patient's concerns and we assure you that 100% patient satisfaction is our utmost priority.
  18. NW 6/7 Transplant Experience – New Delhi/NCR region - > 9000 grafts I owe a lot to this forum, from insane cases to sane advice to do’s and dont’s this forum has been the place to find some help and solace at times for me. So I have decided to document my journey of hair loss and hair transplant and everything in between without any obvious bias. Everything written is my own experience and all the trials and tribulations I have gone through thus far. CHOSEN HT SPECIALIST: After much research into the techniques and results, naturalness of hairline and maximum survival of the transplanted grafts and having seen some of their NW 6/7 work I decided to go for Dr. Arika Bansal MD at Eugenix hair sciences at her newly constructed Gurgaon office. What I liked about Dr. Arika and her clinic: - Only clinic offering DHT – direct hair transplant – in fact Dr. Arika and Dr. Pradeep are the pioneers of the DHT with no root touch technique. They have had tremendous success in taking on high Norwood classes like 6/7 and have consistently produced some wonderful results. Initially just looking at the pictures she also thought that I had retrograde alopecia which she said I did not on visual in office assessment. She was also available for interaction via he whatsapp and readily answered my queries. She seemed confident of her technique and skills backed up by her excellent results and education at the topmost medical schools in India with a gold medal (AIIMS). What gave me the final push to proceed ahead was the results posted by SHASLEc0 with showed excellent transformation with very natural looking hairline design. Also Dr. Arika was not pushing for the procedure with repeated e-mails or phone calls like some other doctors and clinics, I liked that attitude. TRAVEL TO INDIA AND THE PROCEDURE: Time to book tickets, having my in-laws available living in New Delhi was a blessing in disguise. We booked air tickets to New Delhi via Dubai. 23 hours of total travel time. Was picked up at the hotel by my father in law and rested for the weekend. PROCEDURE AND GRAFTS: Day 1 – Oct 12 th – scalp hair only – 2400 odd grafts for hairline and frontal 1/3 rd. Day 2 – Oct 13 th – scalp and beard mix – 2400 odd grafts (total 3640 grafts harvested from the scalp donor region which was higher than expected due to decent scalp donor density) Day – 3 – Oct14 th – Beard hair only 2100 odd grafts for back and vertex. Day – 4 – November 2 – 2158 beard and head combination HT- combination beard and scalp donor hairs for whorl creation and the reminder of the scalp at the back Day started at around 10:30 the first day, initially Drs. Arika and Pradeep discussed the hairline with me and the pros and cons of different levels of hairlines and impact on eventual cosmesis, they also discussed the cosmetically acceptable harvesting of both scalp and beard donor area. Subsequent to this the frontal 1/3rd was anesthetized and careful hairline designing was begun with Doctors themselves taking care to punch recipient sites both at hairline and beyond, careful attention was paid to give the maximum applicable density to the hairline with slightly less density at the back. Overall all punches were done by doctors only (Drs. Arika and Pradeep), Graft extraction was mainly done by technicians but some of it was also done by Dr. Arika herself. Implantation was entirely done by trained of technicians with physician supervision. Both doctors are experts in hairline design and precise angulation of graft placement. After the donor area was prepared the scalp hairs were harvested and then implanted soon after. Same on days 2,3 and 4. AFTERCARE and FOLLOW-UP: I would say the process of numbing the scalp and especially the beard hair was slightly painful, I would say grade 3-4 out of 10. Otherwise once numbed there was virtually no pain. Day after the donor areas were little painful but absolutely no pain in the recipient areas. The beard area was raw for 2-3 days, on day 7-8 the left side of the beard area (harvested one day before the right side was harvested) had healed completely except for some redness. The right side beard took a little longer to heal = 10 days since more grafts were taken over 2 days from the right side. Right now I am happy that I chose the right physician and I am happy with the care given and the procedure, waiting for the results to show up patiently. I have been through the tough phase, now praying and planning are the only things to be done. I am extremely satisfied with Dr. Arika, her skill sets are excellent and top notch, she is very patient with her patients, methodical and artistic in her work and extremely talented, passed out of AIIMS with a gold medal which THE TOPMOST institution in India. I could not have been more satisfied with her work, ethics, skills, artistry, humanistic values and professionalism. I found her to be one of the few physicians who really cares for her patients wellbeing. Honesty, integrity, ethical behaviour and an extremely well oiled equally artistic team makes… in my mind the very best in the hair transplant business in today’s world. I have one thing to say for Norwood 6/7 hairloss sufferers, it is possible to restore your hair and the confidence in aesthetically acceptable fashion provided u have good donor hairs, also one more thing is that assessment by any professional HT surgeon can be deceiving with just hair loss and donor pictures. One cannot beat the in person evaluation. At this time, the hair wash at 3 weeks lead to about 30-40% hair shedding, rest remains intact and growing in length every day. I have also seen with other examples of DHT the hairs don't shed completely like in traditional cases, and also the transplanted hairs bounce back to full growth earlier than traditional HT. I suspect this could be due to less cold ischemic time (out of body time) of these grafts??, experts may elaborate. I have inserted pre and post transplanted pictures, please feel free to comment and advice. Please pray for my good growth, thanks a ton.
  19. Hi HTN community. Thank you all for valuable information and support that I have received during my 1stFUE hair transplant with Eugenix. I am pretty much satisfied with my results, considering the fact that I was NW6 and had weak donor area. For my complete 1stHT journey you may click below link. https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/49922-6000-grafts-with-eugenix-gurgaon/?tab=comments#comment-461261 Now I am considering my 2nd hair transplant to cover my crown area which remained empty after 1stHT. As an informed patient, I mailed my pictures to few doctors including Dr. Bhatti to get second opinion. According to Dr. Bhatti there are not enough grafts left on my head to go for second procedure. Then I went to Eugenix to let DR. Pradeep physically examine by donor area. He was pretty confident that he can take out 1000 grafts from the back of my head and 1000 to 1500 grafts from my beard to give decent coverage to my crown area. I was thrilled. Soon I will be going for my 2ndHT to be performed at Eugenix. Will keep you updated.
  20. ahmedabad_guy thanks again for your great invaluable information. Its very encouraging to hear Dr. Sethi carries out HTs on us guys as well. Thanks for your connection with the Dr. on this and his feedback. I think a lot of potential patients will have an interest . Looking forward to the upcoming results. If you had to do your HT at this Clinic all over again would there be any minor detail you would tweek here or there from start to present? Best wishes again and thank you .. ..........Paddy......... .
  21. So I missed this Post !! I am not too active on the forum lately !! And even If I was, I would not have found this thread interesting enough for my liking to follow it closely, but since you posted my Conversation details here I thought I would reply because it otherwise shows me as a Villain !! First of all good that you have posted the entire chat I had with you, so people here can also judge what led to that Harsh Reply by me. Everyone here reading this, I was just asking this guy what is the cost of HT with Dr. Sethi and this guy started giving me a Snob Talk, acting too smart, and then also went on to tell me "Yes thx a lot.... And don't bother me... I am not here to promote any one or get any business for any clinic. Just share my experience. I don't care even to entertain people like you. You ask me how much they charge for body hair. I do i reply if they didn't use my body hair on me.... And please don't waste my time as well. I don't have time for any kind of stupid question Relaxed with your fingers. I never contacted you. You just jump in any threads that i seen it. So please stay away from me." So I think I wanted you to be aware that you are not divine here and the only soul on this planet, who has got good results, many get it. But if you start acting, pompous and Haughty ! And Snob, then You for sure are to irritate a lot of people that too on a Public Forum !! And I find it really Hilarious when you use words that too in Bold that "Beware of this guy" !! So you mean people should watch you on this forum ! Because you are the New Messiah here ?? Rest I leave it upto the people If I was being too bully and abusive, Which I am sure I was not !!
  22. I thought that Dr. Pradeep would do 100% of the extractions. I was a little surprised to see that he was involved in only 30% of the extractions. Why is this? Harin...Do you remember if Dr. Arika was involved in 100% of your extractions?
  23. Okay..cool. Looks like their reasonable package (INR 75 = $1.08 /FU ) involves Dr. Sethi or Dr. Bansal doing only the slits in "important areas". The question of what those areas are, or, lets say for a HT of about 5000 grafts, approximately how many slits wold be done by these two doctors is still a question. Looks like they are not going to be doing extractions at all. For this case I would put percentage of the total work done by them at about 20%.
  24. Little about myself As written in my previous post, i am NW6 was wearing hair patch since last 14 years and was looking for hair transplant. Finally i settled for Eugenix, Gurgaon which is run by Dr. Pradeep Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal. Why Eugenix? Because i had very weak scalp donor area having thin/silky hairs. And it was the only clinic that assured maximum use of beard grafts on head. Before visiting them I also met Dr. Gaurang Krishna of Medlinks. He seems to be a genuine person. He told me upfront that i had a weak donor area and should not have high hopes. Anyways, Dr. Pradeep suggested 5500 grafts, 2000-2500 from beard and rest from the scalp to be completed in two days. He also suggested that we may plan another 2500 grafts after a month or two for added density. Day 1(29/10/2017) Day 1 surgery started at 1.30 PM. It began by taking lots of photographs and then a front hairline drawn by Dr. Pradeep Sethi with the help of marker pen. From there I was shifted to OT room. In the OT room I was greeted by Dr. Abhinav. He is with Eugenix since last 1.5 years. Surgery started my making slits marks on scalp by Dr. Arika. She first made 2500 slits starting from forehead till mid scalp. While she was making slits, one technician was counting the same and writing on the white board. Then my hairs were trimmed and Dr. Abhinav gave me local anesthesia. Now whole process of extraction and transplantation was like this:- Since it was DHT where graft remain out with minimum time possible, Dr. Abhinav was punching grafts, one technician was pulling them out, another was collecting them and handing them over to two technicians who were dipping them in saline water( which was kept over ice pad) loading them and handing grafts to a technician who then transplant them to recipient area. The whole process was taking maximum 10 minutes. When because of head position it was not possible to transplant, grafts were first extracted, collected/loaded and then simultaneously implanted by two technicians after changing head position. In this scenario grafts remain out for 20-25 minutes. Since it was Sunday, it was busy day at the clinic. Though single surgery was planed that day, there were lots of walk in patients, consultations for transplant etc. By 6 pm only 1025 grafts could be transplanted in the front hairline. At 6 pm Dr. Pradeep came and examined my donor scalp. He suggested that i have weak donor scalp and should forget about 8000 grafts. According to him we should work around 5500 grafts only with maximum grafts from beard hair. He then designed my crown by making 3100 slits which was counted in the same way. The day was called off with beard hairs extraction planed for next day. So Day 1 summary:- Slits 5600, grafts transplanted 1025. Next day surgery to start at 10 am. Attaching pictures before and after Day 1 surgery.
  25. You are right Torip. Slits were done by Dr. Sethi and Dr. Bansal. Extraction was done by Dr. Shishir and Dr. Abinav. Rest of the work was done by technicians. Hope this would help.
