  1. Dear forum members, As many of you know, we gather as much information as possible about a physician, their staff, technique and track record before they are even considered for recommendation on the Hair Transplant Network. Part of our review process involves getting input from patients and the members of this forum community. To learn more about this review process, click here. We’d like to gather your input and opinions regarding the potential recommendation of Dr. Kapil Dua of India on the Hair Transplant Network. At this time, Dr. Dua is only being considered for recommendation, not the Coalition. To see our standards for recommendation, click here. Dr. Kapil Dua has over 7 years of experience and performs exclusive hair transplant surgery at his own clinic in India. He specializes in both FUT/strip surgery and FUE and performs other hair restoration procedures such as BHT (body hair transplantation), eyebrow reconstruction, repair procedures, etc. He also provides free in-depth consultations and prescriptions for Propecia. Dr. Dua uses all the most advanced techniques and tools at his clinic to ensure that his patients obtain the best results. He has the staff and experience to perform large, densely packed sessions exceeding 3000 grafts via strip when appropriate for the patient and operates on only one patient per day. His FUE sessions are typically smaller and range between 2000 to 2500 grafts in a single day. Dr. Kapil Dua is very active in teaching which includes giving lectures related to hair restoration worldwide. He is highly respected amongst his colleagues and has either led or attended dozens of hair restoration related workshops. In fact, all the input we received privately by physicians currently recommended on the Hair Transplant Network regarding his potential inclusion has been overwhelmingly supportive. Dr. Dua uses singled hair grafts for the critical hairline areas in order to recreate a natural looking appearance and uses minimally invasive blades as small as 0.8mm to maximize density and reduce trauma to the scalp. Dr. Dua uses dense packing up to 55/60 FU/cm2 when appropriate for the patient. All donor extractions and recipient incisions are performed by the physician and grafts are cut/trimmed when appropriate and carefully placed into tiny recipient sites by his experienced staff of ten. Dr. Dua uses the Harris Powered SAFE scribe for harvesting the donor area via FUE and uses minimally invasive punches as low as .8mm to reduce trauma and resultant scarring to the skin. Dr. Dua makes all the incisions and his experienced team uses forceps and needles for implantation. Follicular units are stored using a Ringer Lactate solution and are only kept outside of the body for approximately one hour in order to minimize dehydration to the follicles. Dr. Dua views both FUT/strip and FUE as complementary procedures that work harmoniously for the long term benefit of the patient. Dr. Kapil Dua feels that a well done FUE procedure is as good as strip however, surgeons and their team must be more careful when handling the grafts and less hair can be moved in a single day. Dr. Dua is a member of many professional organizations including the ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), AHRS (Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons), AAHRS (Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons), ACSI (Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India), IMA (India Medical Association) and the AOI (Association of Otolaryngologist of India). Given Dr. Dua's experience in performing state of the art hair transplant surgery and providing only the best results, in my opinion, he should be considered for recommendation. In recent weeks, Dr. Dua has presented several examples of his procedure and recent results on this forum. Some of Dr. Dua's Recent Patient and Surgical photos can be found below: 2500 Grafts via FUE with Dr. Dua 6000 Grafts via FUE over 2 Session with Dr. Dua 3100 Grafts via FUE with Dr. Dua 5500 Grafts via Strip over 2 Session with Dr. Dua 2200 Grafts via Strip with Dr. Dua 2800 Grafts via Strip with Dr. Dua 1500 Grafts via FUE with Dr. Dua 2300 Grafts via Strip with Dr. Dua 5200 Grafts via FUE over 2 Sessions with Dr. Dua Dr. Dua and Staff Performing FUE Dr. Dua and Staff Performing FUT/Strip I welcome input and comments from forum members regarding his potential recommendation. 2. Hello all, i've decided to go for FUE procedure in India. And after quite a bit of online research and referring to the contents of this website, i've zeroed it down to Dr. Bhatti (Darling buds) and Dr. Kapil Dua (AK clinics). I've seen quite a bit of good reviews (and videos) about both surgeons as well as at least one bad review for each on this forum. Can you all please share your thoughts/pointers on both, to help me make the decision? It would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot
  3. A 27 year old male, presented with hair fall (which had now stopped) to our clinic with NH Grd III baldness. He underwent Bio FUE hair transplant. He was given 2000 grafts. We are hereby sharing the results 10 months post surgery.
  4. A 25 year old male presented with the complaint of hair loss for the past three years. He had undergone medical therapy outside. And now wanted surgical hair restoration. He was offered both strip and FUE but he chose Bio FUE. 2050 grafts were harvested and implanted in one day. The surgery was uneventful. The patient has now come back after one year. He is satisfied and happy with the results.
  5. I have no idea where to start from ?? Anyways i had done my hair transplantation twice from a clinic called AK clinics (Dr. Kapil Dua) which is situated in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. For the very first time, something went wrong with the surgery which ended up in another surgery from the same doctor. The second time, apparently everything went well and I went to back to Australia. However, as the time flew by, again I noticed poor growth at 6 months. i was very disappointed, dejected and morose since this happened the second time depsite assurances by the doctor. I couldn't call the doctor because i was no where close going to India. But recently i visited India in December and called the doctor. I luckily could get hold of his assistant this time. The doctor did not want to talk to me. The assistant said we will try to sort it out this time but honestly i never wanted to get my hair transplant done from Kapil Dua because I had lost all trust and faith. Moreover i just talked to the receptionist not with the doctor. Doctor Kapil Dua didn't even bother to have a chat with me. The assistant said they would give me a call in a day, but they never got back. So, i was really disappointed and sad because i trusted that clinic with my hair and it is a mess even after paying a fortune. I have found another clinic but this time I am very suspicious about this whole industry. Please guide me.

  11. Hello people! This thread will document A-Z of my first hair transplant. I found a wealth of information from here in HRN and this thread will attempt to give some back to the community, especially the newbies who are looking to shop some new hair. I am 33 years old in a week, from Chennai, India. A Norwood 4A. Not depressed. Don't want to get married. No social pressure. I am doing the transplant just for the aesthetics. (You can find my hair loss story in my profile. A rather long and possibly a boring entry with a lot of unnecessary information) Sources of research - Online communities. Mainly HRN. Couple of my friends, who have done hair transplant and a dermatologist relative who himself was doing transplants for a while. One of the two friends had an FUE of 3700 grafts for a meagre 75000 rupees (tempting deal) from Sareen Hair Clinic, Delhi. 5-6 months post op, he has got very good results already. The other one had a combination of Strip Surgery and FUE (Doesn't remember how many grafts. Nor the cost) from Dr. Ramachandran, chennai. He is 2 years post and has had poor results. The dermatologist relative recommended, Dr. Renita Rajan from Chennai. I did not consider her as she virtually has no credible experience in transplants and my relative gave me too many contradicting information to consider his suggestion seriously. How I picked Dr. Radha Rani - In my mind, there is no doubt that Strip surgery has to be the first surgery. I considered only from the list of recommended doctors from India on the forum. It automatically eliminated Dr. Bhatti. Dr. Madhu does more than 1 surgery per day. Which is not ideal. Dr. Kapil Dua has a chain of clinics. Which again I am not a fan of. In fact, I think he has a panel of doctors operating on different patients. That left Dr. Soni. Has good reputation as a skilful surgeon. I have some reservations with him. I wouldn't go in detail and slander. So, I leave it at that. Finally, it was actually a simple decision. I had always felt Dr. Radha was the one from day one. It's just one of those gut feelings. Nevertheless, these are some excellent reasons to choose her. 1. Has documented good results over the years, barring a few cases. 2. Highly regarded on the forum. At one point as the best strip surgeon in the country. 3. Runs her clinic ethically. No advertisements. No agents. 4. One surgery a day. She is very hands on. Does majority of the work by herself. 5. She speaks very good English. Very good interpersonal skills. I suppose that's a bonus for the overseas patients. 6. Well qualified staff. Some of those talents imported from Bangkok at great cost, she says. (I am sure most know she was trained by Dr. Path for a year) 7. Charges 60 per graft. No other hidden charges. PreOp preparations - I believe in doing things right, so I would know I have done all I could from my side. A surgery needs your body in the best possible condition. It aides in good recovery as well. I am generally a fit guy. Athletic. The last 8 months though, I have had a lousy lifestyle. No excercise. Indulgence in junk food. Once in two weeks drinker. Random, occasional smoker. I decided to get the body in order. I am getting operated tomorrow. One month exactly prior to tomorrow, I stopped drinking and smoking. Started a detox routine. (Cucumber, mint (only yesterday I realised I ve been using coriander thinking it's mint. Quite an intelligent boy I am. Anyways, I hear coriander is good too) and any fruit I have on that day) Worked out every single day. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my sleep back to normal. I ve been having trouble sleeping well the last one year or so. I am attaching pictures of my hair as of today (Before and after shave). I did the PreOp consult with the Dr. while I was half way through this post. That is what is coming up next. But, after a short samosa break. Stay tuned folks! PS: Il do a quick Strip surgery vs FUE. Why choose Strip over FUE? 1. Grafts are always taken from the safe zone. 2. Transection rate is at its least. While FUE s transection rate can at best match Strip (by only by the best of the hands), but never overtake it because of the blind technique involved and a long list of other reasons. 3. Transplant is a long game. When you plan for 3 surgeries over the next 20 years, it is important to optimise the usage of the limited donor area. FUE can cause damage to the near by grafts. 4. All these limitations can be minimised to the lowest possible extent and have an amazing output from an FUE when you choose an excellent surgeon. But, the golden rule is to keep FUE as your last surgery or when the area to transplant is small. My plan is to get two Strip surgeries and the final one an FUE. Note: All my writing on different doctors I considered are strictly personal opinions based on my research. It is not necessarily a fact. I might well be totally wrong about them all and all of it in general. I apologise if I have crossed a line at any point. I am more than willing to correct the post if any untoward writing is pointed out.
  12. There is no denying that the entire team of AK Clinics was behind the success of Haircon 2017, but it was the stellar leadership of Dr. Kapil Dua that made it all possible. With Dr. Aman Dua to back and support him, every step of the way, Dr. Kapil was able to ensure that every element of the planning was executed, exactly the way it should. Haircon 2017 was held over three days, 24th, 25th and 26th of February 2017, which is why the presidential dinner was held on the evening of the 23rd. Once the guests had been welcomed and settled in, the conference began in true earnest, with Dr. Kapil Dua leading the charge. On the very first day, he led live surgeries, in which issues such as strip surgery dissection of grafts, FUE; lowering the transection rate were all demonstrated. As a matter of fact, in the surgery that Dr. Kapil conducted, the graft transection rate was zero! All these surgeries were relayed live to a nearby hall, because accommodating everyone in the operating rooms would not have been possible. Dr. Dua also spoke at length about the seven main steps of surgery, which was followed by a lengthy question and answer session. For the very first time, there was a Coffee with Experts session, which allowed a more a detailed interaction. Dr. Dua spearheaded the talk on FUE advancement – as a matter of fact, he is presently the principal investigator on the study on the same, which is being conducted under the aegis of the FUE Advancement Committee under AHRS. The study is presently being conducted in multiple clinics and countries including India, Hungary, Belgium, Portugal and the US. Dr. Dua also invested time on describing the various instruments that are used for these surgeries and how the choices are dependent on factors such as age, ethnicity, and density of hair and so on. Whether it was emceeing the gala dinners or explaining which slits to use for which surgeries, Dr. Kapil Dua proved that he is not only a jack of many trades, but also the master of everything he sets his heart on!
  13. Greetings! Thank you for stopping by and going through my story. I'd imagine the reader is either a Hair loss sufferer or a close friend / relative seeking help and guidance to overcome hair loss problems. I started losing hair during my engineering days (about 12 yrs ago) but I didn't pay much heed since I had other more important stuffs to take care of. Gradually my baldness became more and more visible and 6 years ago I decided to do something about my hair loss. Initially I consulted Dr. Batra who gave me some medicines and solutions to stop my hair loss. However, he also advised that since baldness runs in my family, medicines won't help much and I should consider other methods of hair restorations - Non-surgical method where one applies either fiber based particles or wigs/toupees/Hair weaving etc. to cover bald area. However, I wasn't an admirer of these temporary methods and wanted to have something permanent. Therefore I opted for surgical method. I did some research on what options were available. There are two techniques - FUT / Strip method and FUE method. There are 1000 of websites explaining differences between FUE and FUT. One could google it and know it all. Eventually, I decided to go for FUE method and started searching for a good doctor. I came across Dr. Kapil Dua's profile (AK Clinics at Ludhiana) I went through the testimonials on his website and it sounded perfect for me. Without doing any further research I booked an appointment and a date for my surgery. This was probably the biggest mistake of my life I committed 5 years ago Dr. Dua advised I should go for 2000 grafts which he claims he implanted post my surgery . However, I came to know quite recently that the number of grafts harvested from my donor area was way more (around 3000 grafts) This means my donor had been over-harvested and depleted. Furthermore, the yield in the implanted area was very poor (800-1000 grafts). This was brought to my notice when I consulted Dr. Tejinder Bhatti when he came to London. I was very disappointed hearing that. That was the time I decided I will go for a correction surgery with Dr. Bhatti @ Darling Buds, Chandigarh. He advised me to go for approx 2500 grafts (from Scalp, Beard, and Chest) to cover my top and give me a fuller look. I was very skeptical about the second surgery since I've already had a bad experience. It took me a week to convince and prepare myself for the second inning. That was it! I made my travel arrangements and booked a date for my surgery. The entire Hospital staff was extremely friendly and took very good care of me through out the course. The procedure was done in two days and I must admit Dr. Bhatti has got one of the safest pair of hands I'm eagerly waiting for the outcome that would change my life completely. It indeed is a painful and stressful process and 6-9 months is what they say, but it is definitely worth spending the time and money to regain lost confidence. My sincere advise to those who are considering this option, please do adequate research on the surgeons' profile. There are 1000s of surgeons claiming to have mastered this method. However, in reality this is a work of an artist and shere professional. And I can safely say Dr. Tejinder Bhatti is one of the best we have. I hope my story was helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions. I've posted my pictures from day 1 and will be posting monthly updates on my progress. Stay tuned and best of luck!! Thanks! Martian

  15. Greetings fellow follicles! I am new. This is my first post. I have been a voracious reader/follower of this community the last one week. This has been a brilliant tool in educating oneself on wide range of hair related problems. Thumbs up! I am looking to get my first hair transplant done on me. My hair loss story on my profile will give a fair understanding of my background. But I suspect most won't bother to take that extra effort. So, I am going to repost it here. But before anyone gets bored of it half way through reading it, let me first ask for the advise for which this thread was created. I shall post my history in my second post following this. I am from India. I understand the recommended doctors from India on this community are Drs. Tejinder Bhatti, Kapil Dua, Pathuri Madhu, Radha Rani and Suneet Soni. I have mailed each one of them and have had online consultations. All doctors have recommended about 2500 grafts except Dr. Suneet Soni (4000 grafts). And all doctors have recommended FUSS (commonly known as FUT) except Dr. Bhatti. Naturally! Being a torch bearer for FUE (Before anyone jumps on me, this is not meant negatively. I am merely complimenting him for being a pioneer in that field). The costs for all of them comes about the same more or less. I am not scared of a scar from the FUSS. (But if FUE will give me the same result as the FUSS, il gladly take FUE for its easier post op scenarios. Since this has always been a contentious topic, and no solid proof to rely on than bickering and bantering from both sides, I am still not able to come to a conclusion which procedure to choose. But the general consensus I find is that the first surgery has to be the FUSS to protect the donor for future surgeries of FUSS or FUE.) I am not driven by society and its pressure or to be an agreeable material for marriage. Neither am I depressed or overly concerned about being bald. I am going to do it just for the aesthetics. I generally love all good looking things. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out. I am more than ready to move on. But not before giving it a shot. All the help in choosing a surgeon off the recommended list will be very much appreciated. (Please don't ask me to carefully study and choose one . I've read a lot of their patient cases here in the community and I am well informed about them. I am looking for a consensus from you wise people that I can follow. Treat this as a poll if you guys want to.) Thanks. Cheers!
  16. Hi to all, Please note i have already done HT with number of sittings from Ak clincs (Dr kapil dua) & Dr. Pradeep sohi (Reviva) few years back and i am not at all satisfied from both the clinics. If we compare both the clinics Reviva is on the better side as compare to AK clinic. I have no hopes to correct my Bad HT with all my wasted donor area by both these clinics. Finally I met Dr. Bhatti (Darling Buds) with the help and consultation from Hair Restroration Network and i am heartily thankful to this forum. Dr. Bhatti is a very kind hearted and down to earth person, he corrected my bad HT without charging anything from me just to give my confidence back so that i can face myself. i am so so happy after doing my HT from Dr. Bhatti(darling buds). He is the best HT surgeon and he has magic in his hands. He and his team is so good in doing HT, anybody can see the list of patients on the darling buds website and can contact personally as well to a patient to clear the doubts Guyz please do not compare the clinics by only price comparison, i have spent so much money starting from my first HT till last because of selecting cheap HT clinics. We need to compare the clinics by checking the number of satisfied clients from all over the world. And in this point Darling Buds is on the top of the list. Best HT's are little expensive but satisfaction level is far far better than cheap price clinics. I have no doubt and yes i fully recommend darling buds to all the patients who want best best HT. I am writing all this with my personal experiences only, nobody is forcing me to write in favour of any clinic. Love you always Dr. Bhatti and the whole team of darling buds. -----Darling Buds is the best best best best clinic for Hair Transplant-----
  17. Hello! I'm from Russia. I need a hair transplant surgery. I do not speak English. I need your advice on choosing a doctor: 1) Dr. Kapil Dua 2) Dr. Radha Palakurthi 3) Dr. Sajal Halder, Delhi, India (it is recommended to hairsite.com forum). Which doctor would you recommend me?
  18. Dr. Kapil Dua from Ludhiana is a man who has created an impeccable reputation for himself and much of it has come from his expertise and proficiency in his field, which is hair transplantation. Not only is he the present President of the AHRS India, he also recently became the first Indian to demonstrate live surgery in the Asian Hair Transplant meeting, held in Bangkok Thailand. 19. Hi All! I am from Chandigarh, India. I have a hair fall history since last 10 years and gradually tending towards baldness and thinning of hair. I was thinking of Hair Transplantation since last 3 years but was totally at loss to decide whom to go. I was not aware of this network earlier. This is my ignorance. It is such a wonderful place to get view and to increase knowledge. Many patients have given very realistic view of their situation and thus helped others to avoid disappointment. First I tell about my first failed HT so that other future HT patients can learn from it. Last year in June I decided to go for HT and started visiting clinics. Chandigarh is a small city and so number of hair transplant surgeon is limited. That time I did not visit Dr. Bhatti because he is expensive as compared to my budget. Then at last I visited Dr. Nav Vikram Kambhoj. While waiting to meet him I met relatives of two patients. Both of them said they have got reference from other person who got their HT done by Dr. Kambhoj. I met the doctor. The first thing I asked him about the name of his clinic. He runs his business by the name Neograft, which as per my knowledge is a patented name. He was no way related to Neograft but using that name to attract patient. He could not give any justifiable answer to my question why it is Neograft. Anyway I discussed with him about my HT. He said he will cover my all areas except back and he will achieve density of 55 and for this 2500 grafts are required. I had no idea about how much area a doctor can cover with 2500 grafts for a size of my head. I blindly went by what he said. A date was fixed and he asked to take some medicine before surgery. He started at 9.30 a.m. and finished by 4.30 pm. At the beginning he also applied PRP. He did not show me any after surgery photo. I used to meet him after every two weeks. Every time he said my growth is better than any young client and the progress is excellent. Time to time he applied rays and mesotherapy also. After 6 months I pointed out that my mid part seems no hair. He replied it will take time don’t be worried. After 9 months I pointed out the same and now he replied that he has designed it in way keeping in mind economy and my age. I was shocked. The doctor took my money and did it as per his wish without letting me know. Moreover I found after one year that only about 60 % grafts of his 2500 survived. So the front part was also not good and skin is visible. It was looking very odd and everybody asked me why half part of my head has hair and the other half is bald. The hairline he drew was not symmetrical on both sides. Later I came to know that he destroyed many of my good grafts with thick punch I realized that I was one of the initial experiments of this doctor. These kind of doctors when start their clinic try to keep fees very low and try to hype their reputation artificially. Actually when you give our heads to untrained unskilled doctors you pay them more because the survival rate of grafts are very less. I calculated that I paid him just double than what he charged because of the low survival rate. So after almost one year I realized that I should not rely on the false promise of the doctor. Result was in front of me. I was very very disappointed. Then I thought about my 2nd HT. I started researching literatures, this site, and advertisement and decided to go to a doctor with proven track record. I first went to Dr Tejinder bhatti. After examining me physically he said he can take only 1200 grafts from hair and its not sufficient to cover my baldness. He did not say anything further. He did not give any solution. His staff suggested me why not beard graft. She then talked to dr. Bhatti and Dr. Bhatti was ready to take 600 beard grafts but still it was not sufficient. I came back and asked few questions to him in mail. He replied partly and did not reply my remaining questions at all. I thought I should not go to a doctor who cant satisfy his patient. After all it is my money and my suffering and my time. May be he had no solution to my kind of baldness (as per his assessment grade V) from available grafts. Then I talked to AK Clinics of Dr. Kapil Dua. After few initial mails a patient advisor communicated me. I sent them all my pics. She told me that I need 8000 grafts and one procedure will be done now and another after 6 months. It will be a combination of FUT and FUE. However during the conversation I felt that there is something missing. Whatever she was saying was superficial. I was not ready for two HT and FUT. In spite of my several request she could not make my direct communication with Dr Dua. Then I approached Dr Gaurang of Medlink. I had a number of communications with them and one day I had a long telephonic conversation with Dr. Gaurang. I felt that he is a good surgeon. However he also could not give me complete solution of my requirement. He suggested 6000 grafts of which 3000 grafts now and another 3000 after a year. It was not acceptable to me. I sent mail including my few bald pic to Eugenix also (along with other clinics) but there was no reply from them. I was almost demoralized to see that nobody had a solution of my situation (I wanted sufficient grafts to cover my entire baldness in one sitting). I had lots of confusion about my available grafts in scalp and how much grafts is available from beard. So after negating all I called up Eugenix and asked about their reply to my mail. Initility I was not getting any confidence because the reply I was getting was from the assistants. So I requested skype conversation with either Dr Pradeep or with Dr Arika. During that period Dr Pradeep’s father demised. However in spite of his busy schedule he managed to chat and see me on skype. He found him very much confident. He told me that number of grafts is not a problem. As per his opinion it needed around 5500 grafts and it is to be done in two sittings. I immediately decided to go with him. I reached Eugenix on 19th July to meet the doctor for his final analysis. He marked areas and discussed with me how it is to be done. Next day 20th July I reached clinic at 9.30 am. After giving a buzz cut photos were taken from various angle. The front hairline was measured and marked with a special type of laser instrument. After some time the procedure started. What I observed in his DHT technique is that grafts are taken from a small part of donor area. These grafts are harvested and then transplanted with a patented implanter. The root is never touched and the grafts are transplanted within an hour. So this process takes longer time but it is a better technique and I believe the survival rate of grafts will be very high in my case. I felt the process is little bit more painful than my earlier HT. They use very fine punch and so the blood that comes out is very less and even immediately after Transplant nobody can notice it. Hole making on the areas where grafts to be transplanted and to make areas from where grafts to be taken out were done completely by Doctors. Grafts extraction, harvesting and transplantation were done by trained technicians. On first day they transplanted 2450 Grafts and on second they did 2690. On each day it took about 8 to 9 hours to complete each session. I observed Dr Pradeep Sethi very learned and confident surgeon. He is a down to earth person and absolutely not money minded. He never asked me whether I have made the complete payment or not. It is very rare among today’s Indian doctors. After all he is a skillful doctor. I hope my result will be very good. Me and doctor Pradeep both are confident. I will post my pics very often, so that members can comment on the progress.
  20. I agree the cosmesis is decent. Body hairs have grown well on this guy. Dr. Kapil Dua any comment as to how the leg hairs grew compared to beard and chest hairs?.
  21. Hi friends, i am Karthikeyan, age 30 from india, tamilnadu.i did my hair transplantation surgery on 25/12/2015 by dr.kapil dua and his team at ak clinics Bangalore(extended clinic name of kosmoderma skin and hair clinic). I would like to express my views about my hair transplantation surgery in this blog. After completion of one year post op,i am not happy with the result and noticed poor density.initially i met with dr.kapil dua thru Skype about my hair transplantation surgery. he suggested to go for 4000 hair follicular unit ,which means that around 2200 grafts to cover front hair line.on day of surgery and one year post op,i don't feel any discomfort. But result wise i am very disappointed. Herewith i attached before and after photo. I gained below 50% results.i lost my money, harvested hairs at back side, more than that l lost my one year priceless time.who will give all those things. I think, this bad result due to only 30-40% of work done by dr.kapil dua and remaining 70-60 % of work done by his team or technician. hair implants 100% done by technician.on the whole which yields poor result. I had seen my hair growth monthly wise.after completion of 7 th month,i met with dr.kapil dua on skype about hair transplantation growth. i expressed my views. he said that "your hair growth is good and you have full of hairs".i said that" density wise i am not happy".doctor said that"you have to wait for another 4or 5 months for better result.today it is 13 month,pl see the result. Thereafter, i don't want to contact with doctor. Actually hair transplantation is a good technique, but in the bad hands,my story will be the result. Dear Friends,do lot of research and decide doctor without considering ads. I am not recommended, dr.kapil dua for hair trasplation surgery based on my experience. i need your support. Finally, thanks for this network , opportunity to share my feelings and thought. Thanks and regards karthikeyan.
  22. Hello all. I'm in a spot of bother and sort of desperate after an unsuccessful FUE experience in Istanbul. The reason why I'm bothered is due to cultural expectations and my marital status (still unmarried and I'm 31). Little bit of background. I'm South Asian (currently in S. Asia) by origin, and went to Istanbul to get HT in May 2015. Over 17 months on, my HT did little/nothing. Instead of undergoing another HT (I can't afford to shell out 5-10k for HT from a reputed doc), I've decided on getting SMP. bWhile I'm aware of Caboki (and have used it too) and other concealers, I don't wish to sport a bald look during my wedding day. Things are a tad complicated as I'm undergoing an arranged marriage meaning I won't be able to use a concealer on my wedding day and then afford to wash it later at night. That also rules out the option of hair piece (I'm wearing one right now). I don't have any plans to visit the US anytime soon. Hence, I can't visit a clinic in NYC or LA. My questions are. 1. What sort of certification should I be looking at off prospective clinic? Is there a standard certificate? The reason why ask is I was quoted about 800 dollars by an Indian clinic (India's my closest option) but I don't wish to visit another run of the mill clinic and waste my money. 2. Can you sport a full hair? I have diffused hairloss, especially around the crown area. I'd much rather sport a lengthy hair instead of "shaved" look. Thing is, in my culture, "shaved" look = bald head. So SMP in itself will be deemed a failure. 3. What are reputable clinics in Asia? The farthest I can visit is Bangkok or a clinic in Thailand. I looked up SMP clinics in India and while Dr. Kapil Dua's clinic seems to offer SMP, it is a temporary one. I'm a guy under a severe stress and I feel extremely insecure due to hairloss despite me having a round face (I've been told that shaved look/buzz cut look does suit me). Please help me regain my confidence back.
  23. Finally I am back in India after a bad surgery by AK clinics in 2012. Nobody can even guess about my hair transplant because there is no result at all. Despite I am loosing my donor area at the same time. I have been going here and there more since I came because I cannot take any risk regarding my surgery this time. I have visited a clinic in Bombay, chennai and Chandigarh. I received an email from Dr. Kapil dua but I cannot bother myself replying to him. I have visited darling buds, Chandigarh as I have heard very good reviews about them. But honestly I have no idea what to do ? Please help me guys as I am more concerned this time.
