  1. Hi everyone, I've been lurking on the forum for a while and did my research on HT and surgeons. I'm in New York City, but I will be travelling to Europe in June and this is where I would like to have the surgery done. I've sent pictures for online assessments to many top surgeons, but I was shocked realising the opinions were diametrically opposed in some cases. So, until now these are the ones I've contacted and their opinions. I need your help because I'm more confused than before: Dr. MARAS: won't do neither crown or hairline. Crown has too many hairs, hairline would look weird with only the temples done he said. Dr. BISANGA: went pretty aggressive with a quote of 2300 grafts in the crown, 1000 on the hairline. Eugenix India: said my hairs were good and dense. No need for a transplant. DHI Thessaloniki: said they would do 400-700 grafts on the crown, because there are still a lot of hairs, and reconstruct the hairline. Dr. Couto: no open online assessment at the moment and with a price tag of 5 euro per grafts is a bit too expensive. Dr. Demirsoy: waiting for a quote. Dr. Keser: waiting for an answer. Dr. Bruno Ferreira: waiting for an answer. Dr. De Freitas: waiting for an answer. A bit of a background. I'm 32 years old, 33 in October. Been on finasteride for 7 years, stopped because it destroyed my health. Current regimen is dermaneedling, scalp massages, deciem hair serum. I'm at the stage on thinking about my hairs everyday and getting concerned people will see my balding crown, so I would like to have the transplant done, but I'm scared of a bad outcome and to lose more hairs, due to shock loss. Call me mad, but I like DHI results that they have on their website, along with their videos. Looks really natural. They told me the clinic in Thessaloniki is their best and the doctors are really good. The price is really appealing as well. But I've read the reviews aren't really good, are they? I'm looking for a doctor doing most of the surgery, not a cattle farm in Turkey like Erdogan or Cinik. Someone really good reconstructing the crown. Other surgeons suggestions are welcome. My pictures attached at the bottom of the page. Thanks.
  2. BHR Clinic Dr. Christian BISANGA Age: 29 Technique: FUE Medication: Finasteride Donor densities: 70-80 FUs/cm2 Hair Caliber: Fine Total FU used:- 2500 * FU breakdown:- 1s 564 2s 983 3s 953 TOTAL: 2509 That means 2500 FU = 5389 Hairs. Average = 2,15 hairs/FU. The goal of this surgery was to rebuild hairline and temples. Pre-Post Surgery 8,5 Months Wet Hair Comparison 0-8,5 Months
  3. Dr. Diep, Dr. Umar, Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Lupunzula, Dr. Feriduni and Dr. Konior.

  6. @karatekid fully understand the emotional situation you are in and that the hair loss is an emotional burden for you! Having said this I would be positive optimistic for your current hair status (some higher NWs would kill for that ;)) and key will be if your hair loss will progress in your 30s more severely or is more or less stable. Taking Fin (also consistently, not on and off) could help to stabilize it but can fully understand if you are not into taking meds that can cause quite some side effects... If it can be confirmed that your hair loss is somewhat stable and your donor is not miniaturized then I would rather consider FUE over FUT as I would think you can achieve based on your desired hairline design a good result with 2000—2500 grafts and still would have enough reserve (if you have a good beard donor then even more so). But up to you... Some feedback from my end to your doctors list as far as I can comment (coming from Central Europe focusing on the chaps in my neighbourhood ;)) Hattingen is based in Switzerland (orginally started in Hattingen, Germany, then moved to Switzerland) and offers both techniques, FUT and FUE. FUT is their original method which made them famous and the results I have seen in other forums are superb and I would say leading edge with H&W. Since some time they offer also FUE and also here the results are really looking good. Just met a guy last week who had a FUE there and it looked really great! Pricewise they are on the upper end per graft but also worthwhile to mention that doctors do big parts of the work. Dr. Feriduni is a world class surgeon and quite famous in German forums (he is also German and his clinic is in Belgium) and also offers both, FUT and FUE. Also here results seen are really amazing. As far as I know he is involved in some parts of the HT and has an experienced team of technicians supporting him. Prices also upper end (especially since it got a duty to put the VAT of 21% for HTs in Belgium to the total cost and guess who has to pay that ;)) Next to Dr. Bisanga you already know there is also Dr. Mwamba in Belgium which is known for consistent and good results but also rather expensive. A rather not so often mentioned surgeon but being top-notch is Dr. Heitmann based in Zurich. He is doing everything himself and thus also only a limited amount of grafts per session. From other forums I have seen amazing results and not heard anything negative but also heard he has a very long waiting list. With around 6 Swiss Franks per graft also not really a cheap one... This short clip gives a good overview on what he does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoTHyiaPRR8&feature=youtu.be Coming from Middle East and having somewhat not such a high interest in long flights I would definitely recommend to look into Turkey as amongst the majority of really cutthroat clinics there are some really world class addresses. Dr. Pekiner was already mentioned, apart from that Dr. Keser is known to deliver very good results (especially dense hairlines with little graft counts, how ever he does that...) and Dr. Ozgur and his team in the Hairline Clinic are delivering constant outstanding results where you have all major steps done by a Dr., with manual punch and limited amount of grafts per day. All in all I wish you well on you journey and am sure whoever you will pick from your list will be the right choice as you are already showing with your list of potential Doctors that you know the first step to a successful HT is to familiarize yourself with the topic and understand that there are honorable and less so honorable clinics out there... All the best Carjoca
  7. Hi guys! Im new here in this great community, but definitely not new to hairloss stuff. I already had a fair research with a help of this forum and users experiences, as part of my journey to my (soon) HT. I will tell my story in short. Im 30, and been suffer from hairloss for about 10 years. There are no words to describe how this has been effecting my life, Im pretty sure more than almost anybody else here. I always have been concern with my look to a level of obsession, and in some point I realized I have BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) , Started as a teenager, got in depression cause I didnt like my appearance. But with time I grew up nice and was very pleased, till hairloss kicked in. I can actually remember the very day it started lol, I noticed my temples receded a tiny bit, and got panicked immediately. and from that point, it was doomed. I became obssesed with my hairloss 24/7, it increased my overall bdd to a new levels. I immediately jump on meds, but they didnt stop it, dont know if they did anything but I just kept taking them. with the years hairloss kept advancing slow but steady - major temple recession, front hairline receded a bit, and thinning on top. I realize in some point that HT is my only option to get my hair back and actually get my life back, and did a research 2 years ago and consultation with both Bisanga and Lupanzula, which both were great, but I ended up deciding to postpone it for several reasons. And now it is the time for sure. So, to the point, I need your help and opinions on any matter here that can help me get the best that I can. I added pics below. My goal is to restore my hairline and temples - This is the most important for me, I have to have a good frame, and preferable good density in hairline and behind it. I want to lower a bit the hairline and even consider to reconstruct the temples points a bit. As about the procedure type - I thought Im going for FUE all the time, but after reading in this forum Im not so sure. I read alot of advantages for FUT - you can get more grafts from your donor, the yield is higher, and overall better chance for more quality results, is that true? Yes of course there is a scar, but first Im not going to shave my head never in my life. I do shave the back and sides closer than the top of course, but not on zero guard, so im not sure how much of a problem it will be. Also, the price is lower, which is a plus, but I want to say here that generally price is only second priority for me. Second, Im still not sure which doctor to choose. Im from middle east, and the best for me would be someone from Europe (I dont even consider turkey). currently in my list are Bisanga - great surgeon, care about his patients, I already had consultation with him in the past and I got very good impression. but he specialize mainly on FUE, and if I decided on FUT I guess there are better options? Also, is his type of work considered dense packing? Im not sure. I would love to get good density in the front. De Freitas - which has amazing results, but im not sure about waiting list, does someone here knows what to expect? and also, I heard that communication is problematic since he speaks spanish. I dont know, but it seems like an issue to me. Feriduni - great doctor as well. but most of his cases look too conservative to me. and he is also specialize on FUE (?) what you think? Dr.Maras from HDC, cyprus - He is a great, reputable surgeon, with great results. And although he is recommended doctor here, I dont see many posts about him, or even mentions, when people here talk about the best doctors. I wonder why is that, wouldnt you consider him in the same level as the other top tier doctors in this list? Im not sure about his specialty in FUT though. But the good thing is his clinic very close to me, and actually has representation in my country. Hattingen - I heard about this clinic here, and saw some good results posted by them, but not alot of patient results. I do read many opinions of people praising this clinic, but I really cant tell I guess... The rest of the options are in US/Canada. I mean, I really hate flights, and long flights to canada or US seem like nightmare for me. Im not afraid of flights, Im just kind of big guy and it's really uncomfortable for me to sit there for so many hours. But since I cant compromise on the outcome even a bit, I guess I would have to take them into account as well. in my list: Dr Hasson from H&W - I read so many great things about Hasson. Looked for lots of patients posted results. not one negative review, and almost all are amazing, and also lots of cases similar to mine, with outcome I would kill for. I think he is actually number one for me in the list, since he does great FUT as well as FUE. The only problem is the distance about 13 hours flight. What do you think? would you fly so far for this? it really bothers me... and what if, god forbids, I will need a touch up or something? those flights can be very inconvenient. Im not even talking about frontal consultation, which Im not sure if they require it before the procedure. Dr.Konior - also great doctor as I read hear and some other places, but I really know less about him than the others. Im still in the research phase so I will get some more knowledge on those doctors and other that come up. This list is not closed at all, I would be happy to hear any (honest) opinion or suggestion. I would appreciate any response, and you can be sure that I will share with you my experience, when it happen, hopefully soon. Pics attached look really bad when it is not styled and combed... but I need to show them.
  8. Man you are the man! I really am impressed at how you're able to take pictures and prove my point about the "illusion" of density. I think your hair looks amazing and I'm thoroughly impressed by Dr. Bisanga, he has hit a homerun with you and you are one of his star patients no doubt.
  9. Ye dr. Bisanga is currently first on my list, thats why im interested in your case
  10. FUT or FUE, that is an important question. I think with each of those options you will head to different doctors. For FUT: In US I would go for Konior, I think he is obviously elite. Canada I think Wong is successful with that more than Dr.Hasson. Europe I do really really like Hattingen, their results with FUT is wow and they barely go further than 6K in total, only one bad FUT result I've seen from them. couple of dozen brilliant ones at least. FUE: I think there are some good surgeons in Turkey like Cinik, there is also another guy but I don't remember his name, but was known to be very conservative with number of grafts he do. Rarely mega sessions. Like Diep too. Belgium has great surgeons like Devroye & Bisanga Don't like Hattingen or H&W as FUE surgeons, they are good but they aren't as standout as they are in FUT But I agree with @JayLDD, FUT is the best way for what you want.
  11. Hello everyone, I have been reading on here a lot over time and have finally decided that I want to undergo a hair transplant myself. I looked through many posts and have seen some truly remarkable transformations and obviously some doctors have more impressive results than others. I have first been drawn to a doctor in Turkey, but I felt the hight number of grafts implanted and some not so great results have put me off that idea. Finally, I have settled on doing it in Belgium and there the 2 doctors who stood out amongst other very good ones were Dr. Feriduni and Dr.Bisanga. The latter has impressed me a tad more though. Now I have seen that, in addition, to his clinic in Brussels there is now also one in Athens. So my question is whether anyone knows if the quality of transplants is the same in both clinics and generally whether there are significant differences? (other than supposedly the price which is not the greatest of factors in my decision- making) Thanks in advance!
  12. Hi guys, So I am just "another dude" with a hair loss problem like all of you here haha. I am 28, diffuse NW5 pattern. Been losing my hair since 21 years old. Once I lost my hairline completely (except forelock) i became self conscious about it and started growing out hair to cover that spot and for the last 3 years I've been doing it quite well (thanks to hair spray!). Medical Treatment This year in January I started using Minoxidil 5% with dermaroller with some good results. I felt like I'm not loosing any more hair, but actually regaining it back. You can check out my separate thread for that. After long debates I also decided to get on board with Finasteride, but started with super low dosage of 0.25 mg twice a week to check how my body will react to that. Looked like it was all good, so I increased dosage to 0.5 mg 3 times a week and eventually 1 mg/day. Been on a full dose for the last 3-4 months now and looks like it works great for me. Don't see any hairs falling out for quite some time already, so I feel my MPB is stable. At this point I believe medical therapy will keep improving my crown and mid scalp, so I just need to get the front done via HT. Today, in day to day life I'm not thinking too much about my hair, unless it's windy and it blows away my comb over and gives a great view for people of my bald front lol! That's the worst thing that's happening in my day haha. Well, anyway.. Moving on.. Hunt for a surgeon After a year of intense research, long debates and countless before & after's I finally decided to book in a surgery! Super excited to finally get it done. Originally I started looking at Turkey for it's affordability. Checked pretty much every clinic out there where Doctor is involved in surgery at some point (bypassing all these hair mills!). Learned a lot of things a long the way so it made my list much smaller. Got tons of proposals from different clinics starting from "one and done" types of clinic, to more expensive ones like Asmed. Most of doc's are doing incisions only and leaving the rest for techs and since we all have limited donor supply and truly just 1 shot to make it or brake it, I have decided for myself that I want Dr. himself to do most crucial parts of surgery. Following that mindset I found couple of surgeons: Dr. Demirsoy Does 1 patient a day Does extractions & incisions himself Lots of great reviews on forums Fits my budget One thing bothering me he wanted to do 4000-4500 grafts over 1 day. After some debates I decided not to go for it. I am a proponent of smaller amounts over few days to preserve grafts, donor and doc could focus more on procedure itself, especially extractions and not waste any precious grafts. Dr. Pekiner Lots of positive feedback Does extractions & incisions himself Does 1 patient a day Charging almost twice more At this point I decided not to focus on money (thanks for my research!) and be open for more expensive options. Now, here is a things that was bothering me. He suggested 3000 grafts for the frontal part, from which 2500 would be extracted from scalp and 500 from beard. I really don't feel like using beard grafts for my first procedure! Just doesn't sounds right. Also patient adviser said that Dr. Pekiner will not change his mind and that's the only thing he would do. No negotiations. Obviously I didn't feel nice about it, so I decided to keep looking. I decided to get out of Turkish market and start looking from across the world. I had 2 live consultations with Dr. Bisanga and Dr. Lupanzula where both confirmed my great donor. Both suggested to be conservative and everything looks great, but the amount of money they are charging was sadly out of my reach. At some point I been watching so many videos on YouTube from Dr. Jose Lorenzo and always been amazed of his work. Obviously he was charging a big buck for his stellar job, but one thing that got my attention was he started working with Dr. Bruno Ferreira at some point over the last few years. I was "mhm.. If this guy is good enough for Dr. Lorenzo, he must be good". So I looked him up. Turns out Dr. Ferreira has a lot of experience in HT. He was mainly working for other clinics and now for Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid. He has also his own clinic in Portugal where he is based. The problem I found is he has very, very limited exposure online of his own work, only because most of his time he was working for someone else, meaning, someone else owns the rights for before/after. Despite this fact, every case he presented for me was a "wow" case. Recently I spoke with Joe Tillman & Spencer Kobren on their show and asked what's their opinion on this young doctor and was pleasantly surprised that they know this guy very well and in their opinion his job is stellar. So here we are. I send him my standard email and I've got the best online assessment I've ever seen! It was a great surprise of his attention to detail from his initial impression, to medical treatment, to prognosis, to HT plan consisting of two separate surgeries to achieve full recovery. Not a typical "copy - paste" type of response. He even convinced me to jump on Finasteride full dose 1mg/day, which I'm glad I did! Dr. Ferreira proposed 3000-3500 grafts (will decide on live consultation after he "gets his hands on my scalp") Surgery will be done in 2 consecutive days. At this point we decided to go for frontal restoration first, which is my main concern. After almost 40 emails back and forth and ~45 min video chat (Yes, with Dr. himself!) I finally decided - this is it, this is my Dr! Booked my surgery with him on January 28-29, 2020. Fingers crossed! P.S. Dr. Ferreira is quite OCD/perfectionist. I guess that's the best thing a patient could hear about his doctor! What I'm looking for right now is I need advise from you guys. I booked my hotel in Porto (30 seconds away from clinic hahaha ) from 27th of Jan to 2nd of Feb, so transplanted grafts will have 4 days to "settle down" and will less likely to be dislodged and whatnot. What shall I buy before surgery so I stay as comfortable as possible? Any special travel pillow? Aloe Vera gel for donor post-op? Any special hat for post-op? Tie my hands to bed for the first 7 nights, so I don't scratch recipient area while sleeping? Any help is appreciated! Super excited to get this finally done! Many thanks. Rolandas
  13. We are very happy to announce our upcoming consultation day in Athens. The consultation day will be held at our new BHR Athens Clinic on Saturday January 11th 2020. Dr Bisanga is the president of FUE Europe and a member of both the ISHRS and the IAHRS and one of the worlds leading specialists in hair restoration surgery. The consultations present an opportunity to meet Dr. Bisanga in person and will allow him to evaluate your donor density, follicular grouping, pattern of hair loss, hairline design, discuss your concerns and receive Dr. Bisangas recommendations. If you may be interested or if you require any further information then please dont hesitate to get in contact. We look forward to hopefully meeting you in Athens.
  14. So today i had my transplant with dr. Demirsoy. I am currently 33, and i have been considering getting a hair transplant for a couple of years now, and i had spoken to a bunch of clinics. I have been on finasteride and minoxdil for 18 moths with decent result, but i was still heading for NW5, i was not there all ready. I want to give a quick shout to Ian who is a koordinator for Dr. Bisanga. I spoke a lot with him over Whatsapp, and he gave me really great advice, and i honestly feel a little bad for wasting his time now. But he is really great at his job 🙂 The reason i picked Dr. Demirsoy was firstly because one of my acquaintance had a really good result from him last year, and secondly i spoke with some of his former patiens including one on this forum, who i will not name. The whole trip have been really smooth so far. I got picked up by a car in the airport, and then driven to my hotel. I the got picked up in the morning by. Dr. Demirsoy's koordinator, Muzaffer. He is a great asset, and he made sure that everything went smooth. When drawing the hairline we had a little discussion about how low it should be. i would have like it a little bit lower, but i was recommended to keep it really conservative, because i needed to think of the future aswell. i remember Ian told me exactly the same, so that gave me extra comfort in, that i picked the right surgeon. We also decided not to touch the crown , but only focus on hairline and the top. The crown could be done i the future, at my plan for next couple of years is using some concealers. Melvins videos are great for that 🙂 The procedure went really well. the anesthesia was definitly the worst, i will give the pain a 7 out of 10. the extraction which Dr. demirsoy does himself, where painless, and i actually fell a sleep. The incision was also done by Demirsoy, and then was painless aswell, not counting the anesthesia. Lastly the nurses put the grafts in. The whole procedure took around 6,5 hours. Overall i am happy with the results, and i would like to give a big thank to everyone who gave me advice. some pictures from before the transplant, and some after
  15. I suggest submitting consultations to some proven clinics. Try Dr. Erdogan, Dr. Yaman, Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Sethi, Dr. Bansal etc. Just to name a few. First what are your expectations? Can you post pictures of the kind of results you would be satisfied with? I'll say this, you need way more than 4,000 grafts to address the entire scalp.
  16. I have been researching over the last 2 weeks. Doing more and more research has not ended with a certain choice in my case, in fact, it has created more doubts. I'd classify Drs into two groups; in Turkey and out. Based on criteria I've come to (up to the moment) there are some standards to choose a Dr. Being a member of the American association (the one that needs an exam to be taken) and the International hair restoration society are a sign of quality but a few Drs in Turkey have it, specially the American board certificate. Considering that, it seems it comes to a small choices of Drs for me in Turkey; Dr Keser (the Guru, doing all the process himself) and Ali Karandenis (with the experience of about 2000 surgeries) (These two are both considered to be good by Joe Tilman as well). Out of Turkey, where the price outbursts 2 or 3 times more, we have Dr. Bald (UK) with excellent natural looking results but about 6 euros per graft! To be honest that's way too much! We also have Dr Bisanga (don't know the price but he's good) and Hattingen institute (about 4.5 € per graft). The good point about out of Turkey options are that results look incredibly natural. To be honest, personally I think, the fact of having too many forums on the internet not only has not facilitated the situation for HR applicants, but also has made it more stressful and biased. It's turning it more to an industrial matter rather than a scientific cosmetic approach. To make the long story short, I've got a good feeling towards Dr Pekiner. He's performing all the process himself. He's young with the experience of about 600 surgeries. But he's not a member of the American and international board. I also have the feeling that hairlines do look a bit unnatural comparing to the clinics out if Turkey (correct me if I'm wrong). Those straight rulered front-lines (in his Instagram pics) bothers me a bit. Is he really doing single graft in the hairline? All these Drs I've mentioned here are non-cheap Drs. However, everything in the EU is double the price and in the UK triple. So I'm still nowhere in my research! I'd really wish to come to a point to make a safe non-crazy price tag option.
  17. Can you post pictures of what your hair looked like before having any surgeries? We discontinued Dr. Doganay's participation years ago, I hope he has improved his practice since. Dr. Feriduni, Bisanga and Erdogan are all great surgeons, Dr. Bhatti has put out quality work as well and is probably the cheapest out of all of them. But yea, if you live in the states that flight is a killer. I believe Dr. Bisanga has better pricing in his Athens clinic, and he no longer runs it with another surgeon that can't be named here.
  18. So the clinic in Athens is now solely Dr. Bisanga? The work looks very clean, Dr. Bisanga is a straight shooter.
  19. Both have quoted similar graft counts for similar prices. Dr. Bisanga has opened a clinic where he will supervise two other surgeons who that help with punch extraction and incisions, and the technicians do the placing process. Koray Erdogan at ASMED on the other hand will design the hairline whereas I believe technicians do all the rest of the work. I understand ASMED's reputation has been wavering for mega-sessions, but the amount I was quoted definitely isn't considered a megasession. I also have heard a lot more negativity about ASMED but the post's from users actually seem pretty solid, so I think ASMED's clinic still seems ideal. Is Bisanga's reputation for his new clinic enough to go to it, even if he realistically has no part in the procedure?
  20. Hey! I started my hair transplant journey this week and I'm going to share it here. I'm 37 years old from Jerusalem. I believe I'm Norwood 2-3. I noticed my hair started receding when I was 25. I started taking propecia (finasteride) and kept at it for 5 long years. At the age of 30 I realized that I'd rather go bald than suffer from one of the nasty finasteride side effects. Now at 37 I realize I was losing my hair at a very slow pace. I had quite a nice hairline 5 years after stopping finasteride and didn't lose everything right after as I was supposed to. I actually think that if I didn't take finasteride, I still would have had a better hairline today. But never mind that now and thank god for hair transplants. After a few months searching all over the web, I decided to do my hair transplant with the famous Dr. Bisanga. At first I was planning to do it at his main clinic in Brussels, Belgium. Then I found out that he opened a clinic in Athens, Greece, last year with Dr. C form the states. The procedure was cheaper there too (operation, travel and lodging wise). The only worry I had was a week prior to the operation when I heard that his partner, Dr. C, left the clinic to open another one in Turkey. I didn't understand why he left, but I chose Dr. Bisanga from the start and trusted I was in good hands. Not long after, I set a date with the clinic for the 1st of November. I booked an airbnb near the clinic. My partner and I stayed there for 2 more days after the operation, just to be close in case of well, anything. The clinic arranged for us a cab from and to the airport. My day started with Maria, who was kind and explained the procedure for me. I signed some documents, payed some money and was led straight away to the operation room where I met the doctor himself and his staff. Everyone was nice, everything was clean and sterile (the clinic is brand new). Dr. Bisanga drew the new hairline, and I guess like everyone here, I tried to convince him to lower it. But with no success. He's the doctor and I guess he knows what he's doing, so I trusted him on this. We agreed on 2000 grafts, but only 1845 were needed. Immediately after I agreed to this, they shaved my head and started the operation. Dr. Bisanga extracted half or most of the grafts and his technicians continued and then transplanted them in the designated area. I gotta admit, I mostly dosed off through the operation. The team was cheery, but worked hard all along. So hard that the whole thing was done in a matter of 8-9 hours. In the next room there was another guy overgoing another operation. I believe Dr. Bisanga was overseeing both of the operations. At the end of the day, Andrea, the head technician, gave us all the post instructions needed to take care of the new transplanted hair and the donor area. She was really sweet. In fact, the whole staff was, which made the procedure much easier to go through. The next day I came back for the first wash and final goodbye. Dr. Bisanga insisted I use some product to help maintain the rest of my natural hair from receding. If not finasteride, at least minoxidil. I thought about it for a while and decided against it. If I wanted to keep on using chemicals, I wouldn't be here in the first place. I made my peace with it and am willing to deal with the consequences, until my second hair transplant of course I took it easy for the next 2 days and enjoyed my trip in Athens. It was pretty sunny, so I kept my cap on. They gave me a bandana at the clinic and I was advised to wear it while I'm out. I tried to avoid the sun as much as possible while wearing it. My head was pretty swollen on the 2nd day, so I kept massaging my forehead and put an ice patch on it carefully. I was out 2-3 hours at a time, didn't sweat at all, and kept spraying my head with the solution the clinic provided me. Overall, I took good care of it while trying to enjoy my trip a little, as advised by the team. Tips from a pharmacist (me): the antibiotic I was given (doxycycline) gave me a bad heartburn and diarrhea. I advise you to come prepared and travel with antacids and probiotics to relieve these side effects. So here are my pics from before and 1 day after the operation. I'll keep updating this post every month to share this hairy journey hoping it helps someone else with their decision. Cheers!
  21. I have been doing surgeon research on-off for the past couple of years and have decided now is the time to pull the trigger. After looking through loads of reviews and posts i have narrowed it down to these prospective surgeons: Dr.Bisanga Dr.Feriduni Dr.Keser Dr.Rahal I am now in the process of booking an online consultation with these 4 surgeons, however i am actually unsure of what i should ask them? I feel like I have done so much research that I know for a fact that all these surgeons are the real deal, and consistently produce amazing results, so im not sure what to really ask... Still though, i would like to be as thorough as possible, so what are some of the important questions to ask when choosing a surgeon and what are the "good answers".. For example, i know it is normalt that techs do some parts of the operation, but which part is most important that the surgeon does? And so on, I would be immensely grateful if someone could provide me with a checklist of questions that would be good to ask a surgeon, or link me to another post explaining this. I know if have seen several posts about this but for the love of god i cannot find them again. Also, have anyone recently been in touch with any of these surgeons and know how long the waitlist is? i originally included Dr.Feritas as well but his waitlist was simply too long Kind regards!
  22. Dr. Bisanga has been on fire lately hitting home runs left and right. I can tell just by looking at your post-op photos how much your face is going to transform when this grows in. I hope you'll keep us updated on your progress, i'll be following your thread happy growing🙌
  23. Looking very very good at 6.5 months! I'm praying for the same from my operation with Dr.Bisanga. Currently coming up to 6 weeks. Happy growing!
