Advice for Hair Loss Sufferers Considering Hair Transplant Surgery

My Story

  1. He chose the perfect time to get a hair transplant. Great results btw, Dr. Feriduni is one of the best.
  2. FUE’s performed on a 47-year old Caucasian male with • NW NW VI, Class N • Donor density of 92 FU/cmÇ occipital, 88 FU/cmÇ parietal, 76 FU/cmÇ temporal • Hair diameter of ~61-67 microns Treatment plan 1st Follicular Unit Extraction to attain an aesthetic reconstruction of the hairline and midhead region. 2nd Follicular Unit Extraction recently performed to rethicken the crown area. Performed procedures 1st FUE (July 22, 2019) - hairline Follicular Unit Extraction with 4756 FU: * 429 single hair FU * 2107 double hair FU * 2064 triple hair FU * 156 quadruple hair FU HGI: 2,41 Parallel incisions in custom-sized blades technique (Cutting Edge blades of 0,75-1,0 mm). Extraction performed by WAW-system with a 0.90 mm serrated trumpet punch. 2nd FUE (March 9, 2020) - crown area Follicular Unit Extraction with 3862 FU: * 200 single hair FU * 1794 double hair FU * 1757 triple hair FU * 111 quadruple hair FU HGI: 2,46 Parallel incisions in custom-sized blades technique (Cutting Edge blades of 0,75-1,0 mm). Extraction performed by WAW-system with a 0.85 mm serrated trumpet punch. No microscopic preparation of the follicular unit grafts. An update on the crown area will follow.
  3. Dr. Couto is one of the best the world along with Dr. Konior but they both have a 2 year wait list. Eugenix (1.8€ to 3.6€/graft for surgeries with the doctor present) is getting great results with high norwood patients and they can do 7000 grafts in one surgery unlike other Doctors you were advised. Stay clear from ASMED because their results have not been good and several forum members are complaining of serious unethical treatment post surgery. A patient wrote here at HRN that Asmed told him he would have to speak with their lawyers if he wanted to discuss any further about his overharvesting. I don’t understand how people can recommend this clinic. Other great options for FUE are Dr. Bruno Ferreira (2.5€/graft) and HLC Ankara (2.7€/graft and doing high amounts of beard grafts in one day). If you want to do FUT then talk to Feriduni, Hasson&Wong and Rahal.
  4. I think Dr. Lupunzula is fantastic, so is Dr. Bisanga, and Feriduni. If you want the lowest price for the highest quality I would take a look at Dr. Pradeep Sethi and Dr. Arika Bansal, they have excellent results on the forum. That said, never let price be your deciding factor.
  5. FUE’s performed on a 49-year old Caucasian male with • NW III - IV Vertex • Donor density of 88 FU/cmÇ occipital, 88 FU/cmÇ parietal, 80 FU/cmÇ temporal • Hair diameter of ~50-58 microns Treatment plan 1st Follicular Unit Extraction to attain an aesthetic reconstruction of the hairline. 2nd Follicular Unit Extraction recently performed to rethicken the crown area. Performed procedures 1st FUE (January 14, 2019) - hairline Follicular Unit Extraction with 3420 FU: * 518 single hair FU * 1855 double hair FU * 1047 triple hair FU HGI: 2,15 Parallel incisions in custom-sized blades technique (Cutting Edge blades of 0.7-0.9mm). Extraction performed with a 0.85 mm FUE punch with CIT Manual Punch Handle. 2nd FUE (January 7, 2020) - crown area Follicular Unit Extraction with 2647 FU: * 181 single hair FU * 1280 double hair FU * 1060 triple hair FU HGI: 2,35 Parallel incisions in custom-sized blades technique (Cutting Edge blades of 0.7-0.9 mm). Extraction performed by WAW-system with a 0.90 mm serrated trumpet punch. No microscopic preparation of the follicular unit grafts. * Follow-up 2nd FUE online soon *
  6. Hello guys. I searched for the best doctor for repair HT (1st HT in ASMED, 4500 grafts, very low density in frontal area and terrible shape of hairline + receding vertex). I wrote emails to several doctors and clinics, which I consider the best. The results: Hasson&Wong, Vancouver Canada: 1000 - 1500 grafts to hairline and recomended finasteride for vertex HLC, Ankara Turkey: 1400 - 1800 gafts to hairline, 800 - 1000 to vertex, 2,7 eur/graft, including apartman, food, transfers and medical package Hair of Istanbul, Istanbul Turkey: maximum ammount of grafts, which donor allowed, 5.500,- eur for whole HT, including full service Dr. Feriduni, Hasel Belgium, 2200 - 3000 grafts (hairline + vertex), 11.374,- - 15246,- eur, without any other services Dr. Pekiner, Ankara Turkey: ask for video from my current condition, 2,25 eur/graft, transfers included Dr. Lorenzo, Madrid Spain and Dr.De Freitas, Valencia Spain, asked for personal consultations where they will deside if my donor is suitable for 2nd HT Dr. Couto, Madrid Spain: asked for personal consultation and offered me schedule of consultation in 2021 and surgery in 2023 Dr. Keser, Ankara Turkey, wrote, that according my previous HT and hair loss pattern, he can´t offer me his services I excluded Hasson&Wong (too far from me), Dr. Feriduni (too expensive and his work is not so good like f.e. Couto´s) and Hair of Istanbul (perfect results and good price, but they harvest all possible grafts, like tomorrow never come) The best option seems to be HLC, but I they have published just a few results. What advice would you give me? Thanks for every opinion.
  7. @TrixGlendevon that’s what we do here at HRN we analyze and compare results, we also talk about costs and after care. Hattingen clinic was a pioneer at FUT and to this day they are still specializing at FUT with results on the same level as H&W and Feriduni but for FUE that are better and more affordable options. I didn’t have a HT with Dr. Ferreira and I recommend him solely based on the great diagnosis he gave me and the feedback from my friends that due to miniaturized hairs had their surgeries aborted with another Doctor and are now being operated on by Dr. Ferreira that is used to tuff cases. I have explained myself as to why I recommend Dr. Ferreira for FUE and kindly ask you to explain why you felt the need to accuse me of having a fetish for Portuguese Doctors when I have ever only recommend 1 doctor from this country and usually suggest him along with other equally great surgeons around the same price point.
  8. Hello guys. I also search for the best doctor for repair HT (1st HT in ASMED, 4500 grafts, very low density in frontal area and terrible shape of hairline) + receding vertex). He has waiting list till 2024 and he actually don´t take new patients Dr. Keser, Ankara Turkey, wrote, that according my previous HT and hair loss pattern, he can´t offer me his services I excluded Hasson&Wong (too far from me), Feriduni (too expensive and his work is not so good like f.e. Couto´s) and Hair of Istanbul (perfect results and good price, but they harvest all possible grafts, like tomorrow never come) The best option seems to be HLC, but I they have published just a few results. 9. Hi @Jamba how your research progressing? Im kinda at the same point as you, you actually brought up some points I think about too. as the surgeon part - I think it's best if he does at least the extractions and incisions. Im going to have frontal consultation soon with Dr.Feriduni. I will just ask the common questions like what is the density that can be achieved, how much can my donor supply, hair thickness, hair per graft, and also if is it better to have FUT over FUE. About the other questions like experience of techs, number of patients a day etc - I have to say that I feel a little uncomfortable to ask those kind of questions lol I understand it's important to know those stuff, but it feel like I question the doctor's professionalism. What you guys think? Did you have some bad response from a doctor when you asked questions that might seem a little 'invasive'?
  10. @kmgrafix doctors will most likely advise you to start taking finasteride to strengthen your donor area. With a weak donor area you could be a better candidate for FUT so I would advise you to ask for a FUT diagnosis to Dr. Feriduni, Hasson&Wong and Dr. Rahal. After my first HT with Dr. Rahal I was left with very little donor area so for my second HT I looked for FUE Doctors that were doing the entire surgery with low graft amounts per day, using stick&place or DHI for implantation and achieving great results using beard grafts. The best use of beard grafts I saw came from Dr. Pekiner (2,15€/graft) and HLC (2,7€/graft). Then I found out about Dr. Bruno Ferreira who is the medical assistant of Dr. Lorenzo in Madrid. He has his own clinic in Porto where he charges 2.5€/graft. Even though there was almost no patiens posting reports I knew Dr. Bruno had to be great if he was working with Lorenzo but he is using beard grafts more conservatively than Dr. Pekiner. If you don`t want to use beard grafts to increase density then you will have more options like Dr. Konior (8US/graft), Dr. Keser (3.5€/graft ) known for using smaller amounts of grafts to achieve great results or the spanish Kings Dr. Couto, Dr. De Freitas, Dr. Lorenzo (I believe they all charge 5€/graft and Lorenzo also uses beard conservatively like Dr.Bruno). Looking forward to hearing about the diagnosis the Doctors give you.
  11. Ye my point was that I just dont know any surgeon that achieve really good hairline, and does FUT. Great input! thanks Ye you probably right, I will have some better sense after I visit Dr.Feriduni, which I already booked consultation with. Also Im not sure how it works in the technical way - if I need to pay in advanced, but the precise number of gratfs is decided on the day of the intervention, does it mean I will be asked to add more after if the doctor use more than estimated?
  12. Ok so I got a little deeper, in my journey to HT, and have some considerations I would like to have your opinions for. My first thread is (you dont have to read): My goal is reconstructing the hairline. Feriduni suggested 2000-2600 grafts, and Dr.Hasson suggested 1500-2000 both from online estimation. So I have few questions: 1. I wonder why is the difference? I made clear for both that I want to focus on good density, and even lower a bit the hairline. I said I have no problem to go for FUT, so it means I can get more from the donor and still save for long run. How do I know if Hasson suggested lower number to be conservative on the donor or because it's the maximum density he thinks possible to pack in this area? Can I just tell that I was thinking for higher number? 2. I got estimation from both, but they are not the final list. I actually have hard time to decide basically between 'saving for long term' and 'have the best hairline'. Because my 2 top docs for kickass hairlines, according to my research are Dr.De Freitas and Dr.Pekiner, but they both do only FUE, and while I can go for FUE since my hairloss isnt too advanced (Im 30 now), I dont really know how much it will progress, so I think going for FUT will be smart for long term. Portugal suggested Dr.Rahal but I ruled him out due to bad cases of him that I encountered. If you have more suggestion for FUT doctors that have great hairlines I would be happy to hear. 3. Would you go to have a procedure with Doctor you didnt have consultation before (online or fronal)? It is problem for me to fly to Canada for consultation, and Dr.Hasson doesnt offer video call. I wonder if it's smart to just set up appointment with him like that. 4. Which brings me to this question - isnt it weird that Dr.Hasson dont require live consultation for FUT? I have been told here that scalp laxity should be verified by the doctor before going with FUT, what if I will get there at the operation day and he will find out Im not candidate for FUT? Thanks guys!
  13. @Hair transplant help if you are a NW6 or higher you will need two surgeries to get the best possible outcome. 1. It’s not about the country but the Doctor. For my first HT in 2008 to rebuild the hairline I chose the best at that time for hairlines which was Dr. Rahal and last year I needed to rebuild my crown using the maximum amount of beard grafts so I chose the best for BHT mega sessions. 2. Turkey is the world capital of botched hair transplant and 99% of the clinics are a risk but the other 1% are world class. 3 Dr. Keser does some of the best hairlines in this forum. Dr. Kaan Pekiner is a master at beard mega sessions and HLC Ankara is putting out some great results but they have 6 doctors so no way of knowing who is getting those great results and which Doc will do the surgery. Dr. Demirsoy also has some nice results but he uses technicians to implant the grafts (dealbraker for me). 4. Konior, Couto, Lorenzo, Feriduni, De Freitas (be prepared for 2 year wait lists and high prices). 5. What matters are the results the doctor can achieve and not the technique. For instance, Dr. Konior is achieving some of the best results in the world and he uses stick&place to implant grafs when the newest technique is direct hair implantation with Lion Implantor Pens. Konior does use WAW to extract the hairs which is the most recent extraction technique that is said to have the lowest graft transection rate. 6. Again what matters is the skill of surgeon. Supposedly the best technique are WAW to extract and DHI to implant but the best in the world are not doing both WAW and DHI and are getting better results than any other doctor. 7. Look at a lot of results posted by patients in this forum and others. 8. My advise is that the Doctor should be doing the whole surgery. Unless you go to icon like H&W that will have a amazing tech team because any tech in the world would kill to work for them. 9. Chose a Doctor with great results posted by patients. 10. It’s a surgery so if something goes wrong you should have medical insurance for post op care. In Portugal the best hospitals are public and in Europe you don’t pay for public health care but that might be different in other countries so it’s always good to be insured should anything goes wrong and you need to be hospitalized (if you would need to be hospitalized in the US you would probably go broke). 11. Trust the doctor. 12. For me it’s Kaan Pekiner and HLC. 13. Heck no! Clinics pay celebrities to have their hair transplant with them and post on instagram promoting the clinic but the reality is that a average person will not have the same level of surgery as a celebrity paid to endorse the clinic. Just like the images on the clinics website (many of them don’t even belong to the clinic). 14. Always ask to the surgeon what is his role in the surgery and what is the background of his technical support team. 15. Have a look at Dr. Bruno Ferreira in Portugal, he works in Madrid with Dr. Lorenzo but also has is own clinic in Portugal (half price). Every case is different, I went with Dr. Kaan because I needed a beard mega session and he has a lot experience with over 1800 beard grafts in one day but the diagnosis I got from Dr. Bruno was the best I have ever received.

  15. Dr. Diep, Dr. Umar, Dr. Bisanga, Dr. Lupunzula, Dr. Feriduni and Dr. Konior.
  16. Look forward to seeing your updated pictures. Dr. Feriduni is one of the very best👍🏼
  17. most docs or clinics don't even bother removing old grafts, instead they accept where that old hairline begins and transplant in front and behind it, whether the hairline is odd or too low, which seems insane to me, so seeing Dr. Feriduni take the time to actually "repair" and properly restore your hairline - which is the most important part of the transplant, says alot about his ethics and skills! thanks for responding
  18. @karatekid regarding Hattingen, yes they are a couple and as far as I know the female Dr. is basically doing the FUE. I would recommend that you contact them for a consultation as they offer this online also in English and Dr. Muresanu is the right one who can give you all the answers to your questions. As for results you can also request them online via the Hattingen homepage. I can also share via PM a link to the german speaking forum I know they are a bit more represented where you can browse through and maybe also ask for feedback from the forum (give it a go in English, some might reply to you in English as well) Heitmann you can also find results in the forum I share with you, some cases are also here in this forum I saw, just search for his name. Feriduni I recently have only seen FUE results so can‘t really comment on FUT - but seeing his high standards I would be surprised if they would not be top-notch as well... All the best Carjoca
  19. @karatekid fully understand the emotional situation you are in and that the hair loss is an emotional burden for you! Having said this I would be positive optimistic for your current hair status (some higher NWs would kill for that ;)) and key will be if your hair loss will progress in your 30s more severely or is more or less stable. Taking Fin (also consistently, not on and off) could help to stabilize it but can fully understand if you are not into taking meds that can cause quite some side effects... If it can be confirmed that your hair loss is somewhat stable and your donor is not miniaturized then I would rather consider FUE over FUT as I would think you can achieve based on your desired hairline design a good result with 2000—2500 grafts and still would have enough reserve (if you have a good beard donor then even more so). But up to you... Some feedback from my end to your doctors list as far as I can comment (coming from Central Europe focusing on the chaps in my neighbourhood ;)) Hattingen is based in Switzerland (orginally started in Hattingen, Germany, then moved to Switzerland) and offers both techniques, FUT and FUE. FUT is their original method which made them famous and the results I have seen in other forums are superb and I would say leading edge with H&W. Since some time they offer also FUE and also here the results are really looking good. Just met a guy last week who had a FUE there and it looked really great! Pricewise they are on the upper end per graft but also worthwhile to mention that doctors do big parts of the work. Dr. Feriduni is a world class surgeon and quite famous in German forums (he is also German and his clinic is in Belgium) and also offers both, FUT and FUE. Also here results seen are really amazing. As far as I know he is involved in some parts of the HT and has an experienced team of technicians supporting him. Prices also upper end (especially since it got a duty to put the VAT of 21% for HTs in Belgium to the total cost and guess who has to pay that ;)) Next to Dr. Bisanga you already know there is also Dr. Mwamba in Belgium which is known for consistent and good results but also rather expensive. A rather not so often mentioned surgeon but being top-notch is Dr. Heitmann based in Zurich. He is doing everything himself and thus also only a limited amount of grafts per session. From other forums I have seen amazing results and not heard anything negative but also heard he has a very long waiting list. With around 6 Swiss Franks per graft also not really a cheap one... This short clip gives a good overview on what he does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PoTHyiaPRR8&feature=youtu.be Coming from Middle East and having somewhat not such a high interest in long flights I would definitely recommend to look into Turkey as amongst the majority of really cutthroat clinics there are some really world class addresses. Dr. Pekiner was already mentioned, apart from that Dr. Keser is known to deliver very good results (especially dense hairlines with little graft counts, how ever he does that...) and Dr. Ozgur and his team in the Hairline Clinic are delivering constant outstanding results where you have all major steps done by a Dr., with manual punch and limited amount of grafts per day. All in all I wish you well on you journey and am sure whoever you will pick from your list will be the right choice as you are already showing with your list of potential Doctors that you know the first step to a successful HT is to familiarize yourself with the topic and understand that there are honorable and less so honorable clinics out there... All the best Carjoca
  20. Hi guys! Im new here in this great community, but definitely not new to hairloss stuff. I already had a fair research with a help of this forum and users experiences, as part of my journey to my (soon) HT. I will tell my story in short. Im 30, and been suffer from hairloss for about 10 years. There are no words to describe how this has been effecting my life, Im pretty sure more than almost anybody else here. I always have been concern with my look to a level of obsession, and in some point I realized I have BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) , Started as a teenager, got in depression cause I didnt like my appearance. But with time I grew up nice and was very pleased, till hairloss kicked in. I can actually remember the very day it started lol, I noticed my temples receded a tiny bit, and got panicked immediately. and from that point, it was doomed. I became obssesed with my hairloss 24/7, it increased my overall bdd to a new levels. I immediately jump on meds, but they didnt stop it, dont know if they did anything but I just kept taking them. with the years hairloss kept advancing slow but steady - major temple recession, front hairline receded a bit, and thinning on top. I realize in some point that HT is my only option to get my hair back and actually get my life back, and did a research 2 years ago and consultation with both Bisanga and Lupanzula, which both were great, but I ended up deciding to postpone it for several reasons. And now it is the time for sure. So, to the point, I need your help and opinions on any matter here that can help me get the best that I can. I added pics below. My goal is to restore my hairline and temples - This is the most important for me, I have to have a good frame, and preferable good density in hairline and behind it. I want to lower a bit the hairline and even consider to reconstruct the temples points a bit. As about the procedure type - I thought Im going for FUE all the time, but after reading in this forum Im not so sure. I read alot of advantages for FUT - you can get more grafts from your donor, the yield is higher, and overall better chance for more quality results, is that true? Yes of course there is a scar, but first Im not going to shave my head never in my life. I do shave the back and sides closer than the top of course, but not on zero guard, so im not sure how much of a problem it will be. Also, the price is lower, which is a plus, but I want to say here that generally price is only second priority for me. Second, Im still not sure which doctor to choose. Im from middle east, and the best for me would be someone from Europe (I dont even consider turkey). currently in my list are Bisanga - great surgeon, care about his patients, I already had consultation with him in the past and I got very good impression. but he specialize mainly on FUE, and if I decided on FUT I guess there are better options? Also, is his type of work considered dense packing? Im not sure. I would love to get good density in the front. De Freitas - which has amazing results, but im not sure about waiting list, does someone here knows what to expect? and also, I heard that communication is problematic since he speaks spanish. I dont know, but it seems like an issue to me. Feriduni - great doctor as well. but most of his cases look too conservative to me. and he is also specialize on FUE (?) what you think? Dr.Maras from HDC, cyprus - He is a great, reputable surgeon, with great results. And although he is recommended doctor here, I dont see many posts about him, or even mentions, when people here talk about the best doctors. I wonder why is that, wouldnt you consider him in the same level as the other top tier doctors in this list? Im not sure about his specialty in FUT though. But the good thing is his clinic very close to me, and actually has representation in my country. Hattingen - I heard about this clinic here, and saw some good results posted by them, but not alot of patient results. I do read many opinions of people praising this clinic, but I really cant tell I guess... The rest of the options are in US/Canada. I mean, I really hate flights, and long flights to canada or US seem like nightmare for me. Im not afraid of flights, Im just kind of big guy and it's really uncomfortable for me to sit there for so many hours. But since I cant compromise on the outcome even a bit, I guess I would have to take them into account as well. in my list: Dr Hasson from H&W - I read so many great things about Hasson. Looked for lots of patients posted results. not one negative review, and almost all are amazing, and also lots of cases similar to mine, with outcome I would kill for. I think he is actually number one for me in the list, since he does great FUT as well as FUE. The only problem is the distance about 13 hours flight. What do you think? would you fly so far for this? it really bothers me... and what if, god forbids, I will need a touch up or something? those flights can be very inconvenient. Im not even talking about frontal consultation, which Im not sure if they require it before the procedure. Dr.Konior - also great doctor as I read hear and some other places, but I really know less about him than the others. Im still in the research phase so I will get some more knowledge on those doctors and other that come up. This list is not closed at all, I would be happy to hear any (honest) opinion or suggestion. I would appreciate any response, and you can be sure that I will share with you my experience, when it happen, hopefully soon. Pics attached look really bad when it is not styled and combed... but I need to show them.
  21. wow it being ages came back here :). I plan to for second round with Dr. Feriduni, as soon my dates confirm. This time going for crown area , as i lost more hairs in it that area now. So, will post the pictures
  22. Hello everyone, I have been reading on here a lot over time and have finally decided that I want to undergo a hair transplant myself. I looked through many posts and have seen some truly remarkable transformations and obviously some doctors have more impressive results than others. I have first been drawn to a doctor in Turkey, but I felt the hight number of grafts implanted and some not so great results have put me off that idea. Finally, I have settled on doing it in Belgium and there the 2 doctors who stood out amongst other very good ones were Dr. Feriduni and Dr.Bisanga. The latter has impressed me a tad more though. Now I have seen that, in addition, to his clinic in Brussels there is now also one in Athens. So my question is whether anyone knows if the quality of transplants is the same in both clinics and generally whether there are significant differences? (other than supposedly the price which is not the greatest of factors in my decision- making) Thanks in advance!

  24. Introduction: I’m a 25 YO male, suffering from hair-loss since around 20 years old, and so I have been on Propecia ever since; Propecia managed to considerably slow my hair-loss in the crown area, but less so in my temples. This is why I have decided that it’s time to undergo a hair transplant. I have researched countless clinics and doctors in Europe/UK. I have also requested consultation of many; the main concern from all the clinics was that my hairless is progressive and I will definitely bald some more in the future, and therefore, I needed to choose the best to have a solid plan in place to not look bald at any point. After researching extensively for a year, I was convinced to go with Dr Bijan Feriduni as he is; Properly licensed/accredited by all the relevant societies/qualifications. Has a vast amount of experience with countless successful cases, many of them more severe than mine. Despite being significantly more expensive than Istanbul, I found that the price difference was well worth the added quality and personalization from Dr. Feriduni. Bearing in mind that his pricing is still less expensive than known clinics in the UK, making his services fairly priced. The consultation I got from Dr Feriduni was personalized and make a lot of sense to me. Here are some pictures; Day 0: Consultation, transplant, and tricho-pigmentation This is both the consultation and transplantation day. I arrived at the clinic around 08:00 AM. I was greeted by lovely receptionists and escorted to my private room. Which had couches, a medical bed, drawers for storage, water etc… After signing the contract and wearing the ‘OR clothes’ provided by the clinic I headed to the doctor’s office. The doctor is very friendly, humble, listened to all my thoughts and ideas and shows true care; this made me much more at ease. He then proceeded by taking photos with his microscope for the donor count etc… and made a long term plan based on donor availability. I was happy with the hair line which more or less resembled my previous hair line before the hair-loss started. Here are some before photos during the consultation; In the OR my head was shaved to 0.9mm, which gave me a mini panic attack 😅, however the nervousness was very short lived as Dr Feriduni administered midazolam; a rapid sedative that made me feel at ease in less than 10 seconds! This picture was taking of my donor and crown right before the operation started. You can tell that my crown area has very thin hairs, but Dr Feriduni suggested to cover that with pigmentation rather than a transplant in order to see the progress of the hairloss allowing the most efficient use of the valuable donor area! The Anesthetic injections were the only uncomfortable part, I expected them to be much more painful, but they were actually not all that bad. After the injections you don’t feel any kind of pain nor discomfort during extraction and implementation. It’s worthwhile to mention that extraction was done by the experienced assistants of the doctors, and so was the implementation (apart from the hairline which was done by Dr Feriduni). The doctor also made the incision opening before the extraction himself, to reduce the time that extracted grafts stay out of my body. In general, the operation was comfortable and I was watching friend on Netflix the entire time! The only uncomfortable part was extraction, as you’d have to lay down on your face for a while on a massage type bed, and you face is bound to get numb after a while. However, there wasn’t any actual pain from the extraction process itself. I then proceeded to have a BLT sandwich in my clinic room, before heading to the OR again for the trichopigmentation done by Dr. Yasmine Feriduni (BIjan’s wife), she is also very friendly and lively! The trichopigmentation was not painful at all, especially for the fact that my scalp was somewhat numb from the operation. Trichopigmentation should immediate density effect when compared to my pre photo. Here are some immediate post-op photos, notice the denser crown area from the pigmentation (also shown in the microscope) ! After this I went home, had dinner, and took Ibuprofen 600mg (pain killer) along with promethazine (which I bought with me; an antihistamine which helps me sleep and would reduce itchiness later on). I must say that the hardest part was sleeping with a sticky head on the neck pillow as oppose to my usually sleep on my stomach face buried in the pillow! I was given a saline hair spray (to use every 30 minutes) along with a foaming shampoo, serums, oil, and vitamins. Also I do recommend taking the Feriduni discount for the nearby Hassotel, which had great breakfast, and a spacious room and private terrace (if you choose the penthouse suit). Day 3: Second trichopigmentation session Its worthwhile to mention that I got a hair wash on day 2 in the clinic, and again at day 3, in which I also got another pigmentation session, this time without any anasthesia, but it wasn't actually painful but rather a bit uncomfortable. Some day 3 pictures; At this day I had no pain whatsoever. I also opted from using the neck pillow and instead made a "pillow castle" in a way which would prevent from rolling over or touching the grafts against the pillow while maintaining a 45 degree angle. At evening I went to a delicious sushi Resturant which is 5 minutes away from the hotel In which I enjoyed sushi along with ASAHI Japanese beer (Doctor allowed me a couple of beers ) !
  25. Can you post pictures of what your hair looked like before having any surgeries? We discontinued Dr. Doganay's participation years ago, I hope he has improved his practice since. Dr. Feriduni, Bisanga and Erdogan are all great surgeons, Dr. Bhatti has put out quality work as well and is probably the cheapest out of all of them. But yea, if you live in the states that flight is a killer. I believe Dr. Bisanga has better pricing in his Athens clinic, and he no longer runs it with another surgeon that can't be named here.
