Age 26, Norwood ~3V + retrograde + diffuse thinning (including donor) Medication: dutasteride 0.5mg/day, foam minoxidil 1-2mL/night Hair characteristics: high contrast with skin, fine, straight Cost: 2.15 euros/graft which is a discount from 2.25 euros/graft because I agreed to provide them anonymized photo updates for their own use. Posting this thread is my own choice. Though, I wish clinics would offer discounts for patients to post threads from start to finish. I see nothing wrong with that. Also, I think the price has gone up recently. Hair loss timeline: 18 - Looking back at

Hello All! I spent winter of 2018/19 searching for the perfect hair transplant doctor. I am 25 years old and wanted to take care of my hair before it got too bad where it would be even more noticeable. During my shopping around, I came across Dr. Bloxhams practice. I knew very little about the procedures such as FUT and FUE. After leaving his office, I felt so comfortable. The honesty and knowledge he had was incredible. Dr. Bloxham makes sure that his hair transplants look good, not only a year after, but 20 years after surgery. I absolutely recommend Fellar and Bloxham Medical in Great

I wanted to start this thread to document my upcoming procedure with Dr. Bloxham (feb. 4th). A little nervous about getting this done not only because it’s fut but because my first procedure didn’t give me the density I wanted. My hair loss has stabilized at least that I know of it’s been the same before my first procedure and hasn’t changed after. As far as my native hair. Any one that has had an Fut procedure how was the recover as far as the scar ? Pain wise what was the worse part ? How was the stable removal did it hurt ? and has anyone ever got smp into the

Hey there, Been following this network for a while and finally was able to get in and see Dr. Bloxham for my FUT procedure just yesterday. Had a consultation back in September and he recommended 2300-2500 grafts via FUT. He said my donor area was great and ended up getting 2665 grafts out, not quite sure the breakdown as I was tired towards the end and just wanted to get out of there haha. Little background, I recently turned 25 and have noticed my hairline thin in the frontal band for the past year or so. The rest of my hair has always been thick, but the front got to the point wher

3106 Grafts Dr Blake Bloxham
Edward926 posted a topic in Hair Restoration Results Posted by Patients
Hello people, Finally pulled the trigger and went with the HT. Dr Blake Bloxham was the surgeon and everything went great. Dr Bloxham is a great guy and very enthusiastic about what he does and takes all the time necessary to explain the procedure and answer any questions I had. If you are in the NYC area and looking for an ethical and competent doctor I suggest giving Dr Bloxham a visit. I, as many of you, started losing my hair when I was in my late teens and it had some devastating effects on my self image and self esteem. I put up with it for many years until Propecia came out an -
Hi, so now I'm back with a FUT procedure with Dr Blake Bloxham in Great Neck NY. Had the surgery this morning. A little about my problem... I had FUE in Turkey 6 years ago, but it didnt give me the density that I wanted. Sometimes it looked great, but then sometimes it would shed so bad that I could see my scalp. I dont know why I go through this process on a 4-6 month basis. Anyways recently i started lifting weights and losing fat, and I noticed even more shedding. Pics are attached.... Reason why i jumped into FUT instead of FUE again... my donor is looking some what t

Just want to start this off with saying it has only been a couple days since my procedure but I’m extremely pleased. I was among the more unlucky ones that started to lose their hair in the late teenage years. I am about 22 years old and my hair was holding me back in everyday life, as odd as that sounds. Having to always wear a hat, gets old as I’m sure everyone o. here already knows. I’ve been doing research on different clinics for about 2 years, many telling me I needed 4k FUE grafts or FUE was simply the best option, crazy in my opinion. I finally came across Dr Bloxham and I couldn’t be

Hello everyone - I've been on this site with an account for almost 3 years now, and I honestly can't believe I actually pulled the trigger haha. It still hasn't hit me yet. Some of you might be aware of the amazing results I have received from finasteride alone (here), but over time, those results haven't really held up, so I decided to get a hair transplant to rebuild my frontal third. I was originally planning to see Hasson and Wong in Canada earlier this year, but due to COVID and travel restrictions, that was no longer a possibility and I was losing valuable recovery time as eac

Dr. Blake Bloxham FUT 1986 Grafts
James C replied to Tbcruz's topic in Hair Restoration Results Posted by Patients
That low skin fade is perfect. As for you adding density, does bloxham want to do do another strip for that or fue ? Or are you going to save another fut surgery for your back half if needed? -

2 month update: Hey guys. Officially 2 months since my 2nd procedure with Dr. Bloxham - I am so anxious for the new hair to start growing but also I am amazed at how nicely my 1st procedure hair has grown in. I never really got to see the growth from a buzz cut so here are a few photos. You can see where the new hairline will be in the photo of me lifting my hair up in the front. I am super excited for this straighter hairline with closed in corners. also attached a photo taken directly after a haircut. My buddy is a barber and does a really good job of keeping the fade

Review of Dr Ziya Yavuz
TommyLucchese replied to PSG's topic in Hair Transplant Experiences and Surgeon Reviews
It's good you haven't committed... this is such a huge decision. You can always get more money but you only have limited "donor" hair on the back of your head that can be transplanted....so you need to make sure you choose a great doctor with a big track record of results. I went with Dr Feller in New York (Dr Bloxham is now the main surgeon there at Feller and Bloxham, he is very good) and next time I will go with Hattingen in Switzerland. Other elite names are Konior (Chicago), Hasson & Wong( Canada) , Bisanga (Belgium) , Eugenix (India), Shapiro (USA). I think there's one in C -
I rushed into a FUT appointment and need advice

Dr. Wesley claims he sells it. You could ask him. Maybe I'll skip PRP? Interesting. I know it sounds stupid but Dr. Bloxham not being "elite" on the site hurt my confidence in him a bit. What do you mean by a more conservative hairline? My hairline is complete crap. -
I rushed into a FUT appointment and need advice

There’s been a lot of interest in topical dutasteride. Really anything to fight androgens on the scalp. However it’s been difficult to source, so please let us know if you proceed with Dr. Wesley and enjoy success with this product. opinions on PRP vary greatly. Some clinics think it’s essentially junk science. One ongoing complication is that there’s no consensus method for extracting the blood cells and delivering the correct dose. It’s all very exploratory still, in both cosmetics and also athletics/orthopedics. Biologics are very promising but we might not be there yet. For what -
Surgeons experienced with Asian Hair Transplants
gambit replied to gambit's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
Thanks for all of the doctor recommends; they all seem like great choices and I have recently been in touch with Dr. Bloxham and Dorin, as well as a few other recommended doctors in the US. I really like Dorin's hairlines and temple work. Only recently did I come across some posts and articles saying that there was a difference between Asian and Caucausian patients, so I wanted to make sure that no complications arise from differences in physiology. Also I was planning on an FUT but am now considering FUE as well if I would need to grow my hair out longer than a #3 razor to hide the scar -
There are several surgeons experienced with asian hair. Asian hair isn’t particularly difficult, as it is straight. Have you consulted with some of the big names in NYC Bernstein, Bloxham, Wesley, True and Dorin? Take a look at our list of recommendations. https://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/Consult-a-Physician/hair-transplant-surgeons.asp

I was looking into both these doctors for an fut I am 23 years old. I was wondering if anyone knew the price for Bernstein and who was the better doctor. I was quoted 2,300 from bloxham. thanks,

I am a 34 YO asian male and considering getting a FUT transplant. Over the past decade I have taken different shampoos, vitamins, and over the past year sticking to 1mg of fin a day/ rogaine foam 2x a day. I feel that I have gained minor minor regrowith in the temple areas but overall not much improvement. Now I am considering a hair transplant with Dr. Bloxham in NY and had a few questions. 1. Does my donor area look good for a FUT procedure? If so, what is the graft estimate? 2. How likely is it to get my hair coverage/density back to my younger years (2010-2014)? 3. If I can get even back

Hey everyone, I'm doing my research and looking for a doctor that has experience with dense packing on brown hair. I will be 21 this year and I am not planing to have HT for at least another 2 years. My hair loss started at around 18, I lost my hairline very fast, and I didn't notice it till later because I usually have long hair with fringe. Currently I am Norwood 1.5 on my left temple and Norwood 2.5 on my right temple. It's very uneven and I will want to correct that in the future. I realise I most likely won't get good results on first transplant cause my density everywhere else is re

The colour of the hair/hair type doesnt impact the result - especially with FUT as youre cutting out a strip and leaving the grafts intact. In terms of FUT the best work ive seen in terms of scarring are Konior and Hasson. Both have around 30 years experience as well. Bloxham has been doing some great work too, whereas although im a great admirer of Laorwong (and Dr Path who I believe trained him) sadly I havent seen many of their FUT patient results. Diep has a few cases of stretched scars with FUT (I believe a few are on the forum) so I probably wouldnt add him to that list. Given

Hi all I’ve had some great consults over the past year and finally made the decision to book a procedure. However the more consults you do, it seems that the decision on which procedure and who to go with starts to become very difficult. I am currently 37 and on Finasteride 1mg EOD and using Minoxidil once per day on the crown. Definitely feel like a NW 6 is what the final end point wants to become. I’ve narrowed down my choices and leaning towards an FUE with Dr. Wong or Shapiro. Any transplant vets that might have gone FUE first and regretted as things progressed? I currently we

When did you notice growth?
deitel130 replied to hairlossPA's topic in Hair Restoration Questions and Answers
I've started to notice some new hair growth around the 3 month mark. It's not a whole lot yet but some very fine thin hairs. When I look in the mirror it's difficult to see to be quite honest because the hairs are so short and thin. The way I really noticed them was taking pictures without flash close to my scalp at an angle and not top down. Take a pic in a room with natural daylight coming in without having any direct sunlight hitting your head. It's still very early so anything you do see will be quite thin and only around 10% of your growth. I think by the end of this month you should see -
Fusing grafts to create more density.

Either Gabel or Bloxham are really good choices. I really like the FUT work that Bloxham does. I’m not sure they would do a ht on someone at 24. Usually they will wait until someone has turned 25.
