  1. Where are all the guys who Armani has operated on un-ethically? Why don't they ever stand up to be counted? Or is too early for the results to actually appear yet.
  2. Janna - what dosage Propecia was he using?
  3. Guys. I have been using Regaine 5% once a day for close to 6 years now. I have been using on my crown and hairline. Recently a few people have remarked that the hairline skin looks "shiny". Anyone else had a similiar experience? Anyone know if this is permanent? Interested to know what prolonged use of Regaine can do to the skin..
  4. I've got a big head, unfortunately, so more grafts are required for the illusion of density. It's the price I pay for being so smart.
  5. Glock - amazing results. The characteristics of your hair obviously help. This is a real success story and shows how the right characteristics together with the right doc can yield amazing results.
  6. John - thanks for raising this topic; a thoughtful and well-argued thread and I agree with Bill that some standardisation of pictures would help immensely in making true assessments of results. I guess there is no substitute for meeting former patients in person... Spex - I have met you in person and I have no doubt that you do genuinely try to help guys out in what can be a very cynical business.
  7. Thanks for the link NN - helps put the pics above in context. Looks good
  8. Is this a real risk from taking propecia? How many other veteran members of the forum have experienced this particular side-effect? Personally I would rather be bald than have to go down this route. Please advise.
  9. I had a consult with Armani in London recently. He had three post-op guys in the room as "models". I have never seen so much hair in my life! They were all mid 20's in age and had what can only be described as full and thick heads of hair. How? Well they had been receding from the front and armani had performed an excellent job in creating a new hairline plus they were on meds to stop any crown loss. They looked great but surely at some point the crown will start thinning also. One point not mentioned on this post is that this was an all-FUE procedure ie not FUSS. Will be interesting to see the grown-out results..
  10. Difficult to make any comments on this post due to 1) No pre op pictures for comparison and 2) there is virtually no lighting in the pics.
  11. Interesting post. Just highlights the fact that elective surgery is not to be taken lightly.
  12. Thanks for this guys. I am 30. Have lost most of my hair in the crown area and am receeding at the front. My goals are to thicken up the front, recreate the hairline and get a bit of coverage on the crown. Hairbank - Surgeon I'm going with is Feller.
  13. This has been a very interesting post. If a patient has "hyper-elasticity" should a doctor spot this and inform the patient up-front? ie that there is a greater risk of a visible scar? Or can the doctor still operate but take a thinner strip? I guess what I am asking is for hyper-elastic skin is there a way to minimise the scar?
  14. Guys Here's my dilemma. 1) I am probably a NW3 with balding at the crown area and recession at the front. Recently my hair loss appears to have accelerated and I am getting sick of looking in the mirror every morning. 2) I am getting married in April 2008! 3) I can't get time off work until January 2008 but after that can take a good month off. 4) Question - should I go for the HT in January (with a coalition doc I have picked and consulted with already) or should I wait until after the wedding? 5) My dilemma is that I would really like to get a HT now but I am concerned that it may not look great for the wedding. The flip-side is that I don't have that much hair left anyway so maybe I should take the plunge? Any thoughts??
