  1. Thanks for the response. It seems that there are drugs that can be used to prolong the effectiveness of anaesthetics. However, I am concerned they can have a toxic effect given that transplant sessions can often run to 12 hours and multiple doses are required. I just wonder how safe this is. I assume (and hope) that the top surgeons follow strict medical guidelines and avoid overdosing patients. Cheers
  2. Hi all I am a new member on this forum but have been an avid reader for some time. I am in the throws of deciding whether to go ahead with a transplant. I am a NW6. Other than the end results achievable from transplantation, I am very concerned about the risks of hair transplant surgery, including: a) infections as a result of the procedure b) picking up infectious diseases from the surgical centre, such as staphylococcus, hepatitis c) complications from the anaesthetics that are administered during the procedure, and in particular, whether they can have a toxic effect given that multiple doses are adminstered over a prolongued period (especially for megasessions). I would be very interested in your views on this and whether you have heard of or even experienced such complications as a result of a procedure. Best Ritmo
