  1. @Ryan73 that’s great news! You are in great hands and will surely get great result. You should read and follow @paddyirishman results thread as he also went to Dr. Arika and has a detailed report on his experience. Wish you all the best!
  2. Melvin maybe the information I read was not correct so it might be best to delete my previous post.
  3. @Baldy1974 I have to agree with Melvin that Dr. Arika at 1.8€/graft with tax is indeed the most affordable option for anyone looking for a highly skilled surgery and a Doctor with consistently great results.
  4. @Kingthin he extracts using motorized FUE so he can do up to 2000 grafts per day and implants using DHI with Lion Implantor Pens so the grafts are placed in the pens and the hole/slit is opened at the same time the graft is inserted (similar to stick&place but with less handling of the graft). Its best you ask @Rolandas about the duration of time between extraction and implantation.
  5. @Kingthin if you are in the UK I wouldn’t hesitate on booking @Dr. Bruno Ferreira as you won’t find any other Doctor so close to you doing his elite level surgery at a more affordable price. Dr. Ximena also charges 2.5€/graft and has great results on the Spanish forum. The only reason why I don’t recommend her more often is because she does surgery on 2 patients per day and I prefer Doctors like Dr. Ferreira that only do surgery on 1 patient per day.
  6. @LonelyGraft I had my second HT with a Doctor that does surgery on only 1 patient per day and having a surgery with the doctor and his staff focused solely on my outcome really made a difference. Ofcourse what matters is the final results but I felt much more confortable with the Doctor by side the whole time during my 3 days of surgery and very much enjoyed the experience of having a whole clinic for myself. Therefore, I tend to reccomend affordable Doctors that do surgery on just 1 patient per day with real patients posting great results.
  7. @LonelyGraft the only reason why I recommend BF more often is because even though Dr. Ximena has great patient results at the Spanish forum she does 2 patients per day so for the same price I think Dr. Ferreira would be a better option because he does only 1 patient per day.
  8. @TrixGlendevon that’s what we do here at HRN we analyze and compare results, we also talk about costs and after care. Hattingen clinic was a pioneer at FUT and to this day they are still specializing at FUT with results on the same level as H&W and Feriduni but for FUE that are better and more affordable options. I didn’t have a HT with Dr. Ferreira and I recommend him solely based on the great diagnosis he gave me and the feedback from my friends that due to miniaturized hairs had their surgeries aborted with another Doctor and are now being operated on by Dr. Ferreira that is used to tuff cases. I have explained myself as to why I recommend Dr. Ferreira for FUE and kindly ask you to explain why you felt the need to accuse me of having a fetish for Portuguese Doctors when I have ever only recommend 1 doctor from this country and usually suggest him along with other equally great surgeons around the same price point.
  9. Twice the price I paid for my second HT and 74% more than Bruno Ferreira. Hattingen Clinic gets great results (mostly with FUT as its still the technique were they excel) but for FUE I don’t think it’s worth paying 74% more than you would pay to have it done by Dr. Ferreira.
  10. It’s 4.31/graft for FUE: http://www.hattingenhair.com/en/hair-transplant-prices/prices/
  11. Ver happy so far and I agree wit @Abi28. Admin removed his name because sadly he is banned from HRN for giving discounts to use patient blurred photos and requesting the removal of a subpar result. @Hairgod Cosmedica is a Hairmill and I would never recommend it to anyone.
  12. @Baldy1974 out of your 2 options I would chose Demirsoy but I would advise you to spend a bit more and go to either Dr. Bruno Ferreira (2.5€/graft), HLC (2.7€/graft) because they are in whole different league. Dr. Arika at Eugenix (1.8€/graft) is also a much better option.
  13. @Alfie I had a HT with Dr. Rahal and Dr. Pekiner and only had to make 1 return trip for both surgeries. I sent pictures and a video of my donor area to get a diagnosis with a graft estimate and then it was a matter of booking a date. On both ocasions the estimate was higher than the total grafts they managed to extract but that’s to be expected because the Doctor can only tell for sure when he sees the patient in person. I get that you would like to go to clinic several times before and after the surgery but these Docs are super busy with surgeries every day (also on weekends) so I doubt you would be able to have all those consultation you were talking about nor do I think they are necessary. If you have the possibility to have a consultation in person before surgery all the better because you will be going to surgery knowing exactly how many grafts and the approach the Doctor will take but again it’s not mandatory.
  14. @Hakuna wow that’s a really great result for only 4 months! I hope to also have that awesome result when I get to 4 months.
  15. @kingk I was asking the same question last year and came to the conclusion that I should find a doctor that is doing the whole surgery (with the assistance of his team) and has real patient posting great results. I had a budget so I had find a affordable Doctor but I didn’t want to comprise on quality results. I found that @Dr. Bruno Ferreira, HLC, Dr. Pekiner and Dr. Arika were doing highly skilled surgeries and getting great results at very affordable prices. Dr. Arika (1.8€/graft) at Eugenix is considered the best in the world for mega sessions +7000 grafts (using beard grafts). With Eugenix you could get great density with just 1 surgery (the other Docs I recommend might suggest splitting your case in 2 surgeries). I chose Dr. Pekiner because of many real patients posting great results with +1500 beard grafts.
  16. My apologies @Sam818 and I totally agree with your advice. I don’t understand why anyone would ever consider those clinics just to avoid getting on a plane. @Alfie those that aren’t afraid of traveling for a HT are getting highly skilled doctors do their surgeries and give them amazing results for a third of the price of the same level of surgery in the US.
  17. @Mark Wolfer in my opinion the best for beard grafts are HLC (2.7€/graft) and Dr. Pekiner (2.25€/graft) with Dr. Arika (1.8€/graft) coming in as a close second. @HARIRI is right when saying that beard grafts should be blended with scalp grafts and not be used to the hairline or front. If your beard has a different shade than your hair or is curly then you might not be a candidate for beard grafts. If you have miniaturized hairs you shouldn’t go to Pekiner because he tends to abort surgeries if he finds miniaturized hairs as he believes he will not achieve the results the patient is expecting. Wish you all the best!
  18. @Sam818 would you kindly inform us where you saw patients with botched surgeries from Dr. Arika, @Dr. Bruno Ferreira and HLC? I’m sure @paddyirishman @Rolandas and @83mjs would like to know were you found botched surgeries from their Doctors. I used the search function on this forum and every other forum on the internet and couldn’t find 1 botched result from these Doctors so I don’t understand how you can make this statement.
  19. @Alfie you have a very diffuse hairloss and in order to rebuild your hairline, midscalp and crown you could be looking at +6000 grafts in order for you to reach an acceptable density. From your pictures it’s hard to tell if you have miniaturized hair or DUPA but I would check in to that if I were you. If you don’t have issues with finasteride I recommend you to start taking it asap. I know you wrote you want FUE but I recommend you to go for FUE plus BHT (beard grafts). I would advise you to contact @Dr. Bruno Ferreira who has his own clinic at Porto charging 2.5€/graft which is a quick 8h direct flight from NY. He also works in Madrid with Dr. Lorenzo one of the best in the world and an authority on patients with DUPA but in Madrid you pay 5€/graft. Also advise you to reach out to HLC Ankara (2.7€/graft) and Dr. Arika (1.8€/graft) at Eugenix (India) because they are both doing mega sessions using beard and chest grafts to add density (have a feeling you might be needing it). Eugenix is considered the best in the world for mega sessions and with Dr, Arika you could probably do your +6000 grafts in just one surgery. Check their good results with high norwood cases. You won’t find any other doctor in the world doing this highly skilled surgery for this price. They are elite level doctors charging a third of what you would pay for the same level of surgery in the US. Wish you all the best!
  20. @Gettingmyhairback5 I agree with @MachoVato opinion that you might have DUPA or miniaturized hair. Dr. Lorenzo treats patients with DUPA but one of the requirements is that you be you need to be on finasteride 6-12 months before surgery. So if that’s not a option for you then you will probably not have good scalp donor area. If you can’t afford Lorenzo’s price of 5€/graft then go his medical assistant Dr. Bruno Ferreira that charges 2.5€/graft at his own clinic in Porto. You could talk with HLC (2.7€/graft) and Eugenix (1.8€/graft with tax) because they both have experience with beard grafts and could probably take 2000 grafts from you beard (if it’s not curly) and chest to rebuild your crown and midscalp but you wouldn’t be able to rebuild the hairline or front because that area requires scalp grafts. Wish you all the best!
  21. Dear HRN members, two days ago I hit the 2 month mark a.k.a “Ugly Duckling Phase”. There has been some shedding but it seems that several grafts didn’t shed and kept on growing. I can see some black dots that seem to be new hair growth so I expect things to be better next mont. This is how things are looking as of today. Looking forward to your comments.
  22. @Ryan73 assuming you need 2500 grafts your budget per graft 2$-2.8$ won’t be enough the for best Doctors in the US, Canada, Spain or Belgium. However, nowadays you can in fact get elite level surgeons for that price in Portugal, India and Turkey. @Dr. Bruno Ferreira (2.5€/graft) because he works in Madrid with one of the best Doctors in the world - Dr. Jose Lorenzo - treating tuff cases with DUPA and achieving amazing results. Dr. Bruno has his own clinic in Portugal at 2.5€/graft instead of 5€/graft charged in Madrid. He uses a technique called DHI which means the he implants using Lion Implantor Pens, nurses will charge the pens with grafts and these pens allow the Doctor to open the hole/slit and implant the graft at the same time. holes/slits once made start closing and accumulating blood or fat so this technique allows the doctor to make smaller holes/slits with higher survival rate and the patient has a quicker recovery. Dr. Arika at Eugenix India (1.8€/grafts with tax) because they are considered the best for mega sessions and have their technique called DHT in which they extract the graft and immediately implant them into pre-made holes/slits to get higher survival rate because the grafts stays out of body for less time. HLC Ankara (2.7€/graft) and Dr. Pekiner (2.25€/graft) because they both use a technique called stick&place (also used by the FUE icon Dr. Konior) in which the holes/slits are manually made and then the graft is immediately implanted manually (similar to DHI but without implantor pens). Both Dr. Bruno and Dr. Arika also have experience with beard grafts but HLC and Pekiner are doing 1800 beard grafts in one day for a while so I found them a better option for those that require a lot of beard grafts. Wish you all the best with your research and let us know the diagnosis you get from these top Doctors.
  23. @baldblonde if you are confused because you agree with @Melvin-Moderator that a Doctor that gives discounts to use your blurred pictures and insisted with HRN to delete @dredd77 thread with a subpar result (even though he offered that patient a free repair HT and wanted to pay for a dermatology consultation that the patient refused) is unethical then ofcourse you should go another Doctor. As @Cristero Informed you he also saw real patient results like I did from the several English forums, Italian forum, german forum, french forum and Turkish forum. After seeing more than 60 patient results I myself found that there is only subpar result from Pekiner and that @dredd77 posted his subpar results in pretty much all forums worldwide (except the Italian because they stupidly censor results there) showing everyone in the world how Pekiner behaved in this difficult situation that basically separates who’s a ethical good Doctor from non ethical one. Even the best Doctors in the world have had bad results but it’s how they behaved towards the patient faced with that situation that separates the good and ethical from the bad and unethical Doctors. @Cristero you won’t be able to post your results from Dr. Pekiner because like @Melvin-Moderator told you HRN is no longer hosting posts about Pekiner (he’s banned/censured). Let me know in which uncensored forum you will be posting your real patient results from Dr. Pekiner so I can follow them. Thanks
  24. I fully agree with @Sam818 when you said that Dr. Pekiner approached a subpar result ethically by offering a free surgery and wanting to pay for a dermatologist consultation that the patient refused. As patient of Dr. Pekiner it saddens me that his reputation as a surgeon is suffering due to his rep poor CRM skills and giving discounts to use his patients blurred pictures however he wants. It’s also discomforting to know that HRN is no longer allowing topics about Dr. Pekiner which means no patients can post results so basically he is now banned/censored from HRN when he clearly behaved ethically when confronted with a subpar result. I found a thread posted by @dust78 showing he has been overharvested by ASMED (a Turkish clinic recommended by HRN) and that ASMED not only refused to admit any wrong doing but also told @dust78 to talk with their lawyers when he confronted ASMED. Therefore, as patient of Pekiner with no complaints thus far it’s very hard for me to understand how ASMED is recommended by HRN but Pekiner who actually behaved ethically when confronted with a similar situation is now banned from HRN... @Cristero you won’t be able to post your results from Dr. Pekiner because as @Melvin-Moderator explained to you “HRN is no longer hosting topics discussing this surgeon cause of his questionable ethics”. @Cristero I do wish you all the best with your surgery and even though I’m just 2 months post-op I can tell you I had a good HT experience, immediate recovery and so far results are on track.
  25. @ready4Hair you should check Rahal’s latest FUE results as you will find they are not great and some members are actually complaining. Why would you want to do 2500 grafts in 1 day when its Doctors like Keser that limits surgeries to 600 grafts that get the highest graft survival rate... If you chose a Doctor that does the whole surgery with DHI or stick&place then you can count on him implanting a max 2000 grafts in one day if he extracts with motorized FUE and 1500 grafts if he’s doing manual FUE. If it’s a Doctor doing pre-made slits/holes with several techs implanting the grafts then he can do more than 4000 grafts in one day (not something I recommend!) I had 3 days of surgery to implant 3895 grafts and the recovery was so much better than my first HT of just one day with FUT.
