"MDM, Now that you have found this forum will you see a real doctor or are you happy with mini - micros?" I have no plans to see other doctors. I am satisfied with what was done for me. As of this point I am done with surgeries.

It is sad there are predators like this in the industry. It gives all HT doctors a bad name. Sometimes the pressure from investors and large corporate entities become too much for some people who cannot handle the pressure and take shortcuts. In the case of the HT industry peoples lives are affected - as what happened to you. In your personal case if you are not a candidate for another HT surg and shaving your head is not an option because of the scar then perhaps a hair unit might be considered? I hope it all works out for you.

I am very sorry to read about your experience. I hope it all works out for you in the end. I just completed my second surgery with MHR on December 28th. I have a photo album up outlining my results form the first surgery, which met my expectations. I do not forsee a problem for the second surgery, which I expected and planned. I can only speak for myself though... Curious... what doctor and office did you got to that did this to you?
  5. In my opinion there is absolutely no shame or stigma attached to HT. Women have breast augmentation all of the time and seem to make no secret of it. You made the investment, took the time to go through the surgery, why not enjoy the results? Your surgery does not need to be a secret unless you decide to make it one. It is your choice. There is no shame in Propecia either. This is a personal medical choice that is no ones business but your own. Again, no one needs to know unless you tell them. Millions of people take drugs for different things every single day that you would never know about. As far as reversing the transplant I am unsure if that is even possible without removing the follicle? A very painful experience IMHO.
  6. I have been on Propecia since July 2004. Honestly I cannot recall a loss of libido but I also have a career that is pressure packed. I take blood pressure medication as well. I have read somewhere that the male breasts could enlarge because of the Propecia? I swim allot so that has mitigated that side effect. With the blood pressure meds, the Propecia, and the career pressure has made my sex drive go in waves... meaning one week it is low and I can do without sex, then the next week it seems to be on overdrive where I cannot get enough. On the positive side the Propecia has stopped the hair loss and even propelled a little new growth in my hairline. I hope this helps.
  7. I use it once a day and frankly am unsure what the results have been. I have been on it for about a year and a half. Maybe other have had better luck? The Propecia works much better!
  8. Aloe Vera gel after the sutures comes out helps...
  9. I have just had my second surgery and typically keep my hair cropped with a #2 guard. Anyway what has worked for me is actually shaving my head after three weeks and using Aloe Vera gel on the scar and the scalp. This clears it up and in my opinion helps with the growth. I know this is somewhat radical but the hair is trained the way I want it as it comes in and the scar heals and fades much better.
