  1. Gary, would you like me to articulate the finer points of manhood.... When you come on a forum and talk nonsense, this is how you get treated. BTW idiot, almost all members of internet forums use nicknames, from the most highly esteemed to the lowest of the low, and i hardly think that makes them all second graders. In fact, i would venture to say that if you were in second grade and visiting this site, just shave you're head and get on with life...haha.. Have fun Gary Kaplan.
  2. Gary, you newbie idiot!!!! Bill is the forum moderator. He is here to make lives easier. You ask him to go away...haha, thats very nice of you, but unfortunately, thats probably not going to happen. Spend some time and learn about the procedure you underwent before making uninformed posts about nothing. Your Dr., while might be very good, did not invent modern follicular unit transplantation. Sorry, but that distinction goes to others in the field, Dr.Rassman comes to mind as maybe one of the first to coin the term. So, go read your books and come back when you become a man.
  3. Feller, Weren't you asked politely to leave this thread? There is a big difference between a coalition member and being recommended. Nobody is comparing Shapiro or Hasson to Umar. If they were, then the offer would be to invite him into the coalition. there is a place for Dr Umar in the recommended list as far as my opinion is concerned because he provides a service that others Drs cant, in those individuals with very limited options.
  4. Hey Bill, can you just put a ban on Fellers posting privileges ...you can still have him in the coalition, just no more keyboard warrior privileges....haha anyway, i don't know what you say. Dr Feller, time and time again your ego steps in front of your best interest, maybe you need to take a step back and see how your posts are read by forum members. i have been stiff with you in the past, and will continue to be because i don't think the style in which you post is beneficial at all, and mostly one-sided while you claim that others are attacking you. Mostly, people are just reacting to your aggressive posts. this thread was for forum members, but i think as a physician, you shouldn't be able to weight in publicly on these types of threads. do it in private, relax a bit, enjoy some tea. anyways, i like how Dr Umar has handled this, and i think that he has a place as a recommened Dr because he is providing a service that helps tremendously. i have not heard anywhere that Dr Umar compares BHT with a standard strip. He is very realistic about it, and thats cool. I also believe that if Dr Feller has problems with Dr Umar, take care of it in a professional setting, like the ISHRS, and debate it with others in the field. the forum is not an appropriate place for this.
  5. PGP, i'm sorry that you feel so hurt that you have to resort to grade school....must be nice owning that GED. Do you put it up on your mantle and kiss it goodnight. get a life bro.
  6. you guys don't quit do you.... i am not "advising" anyone, just giving Bruce encouragment because he obviously has made his decision if you read his post. but all you guys do here is go straight into mob. there you go again, "zero examples of his work". read the goddamn post, in which Bruce has said he has seen grown out results, but the Dr. cannot post them because of a legal disclaimer. is that really that hard to understand? also, i went to Dr Alexander because i did my own research, and thats who i decided to go to. not because of a bunch of chimps on an internet forum telling me what to do with my life. enough already.
  7. PGP, you are easily persuaded by marketing......art and surgery are not one and the same. you can call them craftsman, but the design is very simplistic, no i don't want 20 more, i have been around HT for awhile, been through it 3 times. i don't need to read Bosleys "HT is art" philosophy to make me feel better. i believe thats how they started there infomercials....
  8. Oh man, here, give me the gun...haha BTW, i went to Dr Alexander, and just because he says its his art background, which was a minor in ART when he was getting his BA, is hardly what we call a strong art background. Thats why he went into becoming a DR. instead of a damn Bohemian. For a surgeon, i would presume its a good thing, but that is not the main reason his hairline's are undeteable...Sure its a selling point, but really it comes to surgical technique, new technology and a little bit of asthetic and design principles. A background in art doesn't hurt, but are these surgeons artist. I'm sorry to tell you, but no, thats just marketing.
  9. Fine Art.....haha. Yeah, ok. I'm guessing you don't read Art Forum magazine then. Ht = Post Modern painting. This will never end, why dont you just make his decision for him. "I saw his work on TV", well i guess you did your research as well. Keep it going, i'm sure one of these arguements are going to light a fuse in Bruce's head and change is mind for the assumed better. What ever happened to a little support here, damn, you guys make it sound like he is going to get the mayer flap here.
  10. hairthere, i understand what you are saying, but your case and this are different. this Dr. spent time in a coalition clinic, with a very high standard protocal. i would assume that if things go wrong(which they shouldn't), he will take care of it because after all, its also his business at stake as he is also posting on this site and was reviewed by Pat. HT mostly require being up to date on technology and technique, and a little artistry. Again, i would assume that if the Dr. spent time learning in a coalition clinic, he would be up to date on these things. Best,
  11. you guys are bullying Bruce now. He made up his mind, he is a grown adult. this Dr. he chose was doing a great deal of work when at NHI, which is headed by Dr Rassman, who is a Coalition member. Bruce also said that he has seen grown out results, but that the Dr cannot post them because of his agreement with his former employer, NHI. i would think that Rassman would not put his whole reputation on the line with an unskilled surgeon. Also, Pat went to the clinic and gave a favorable review. HT is not rocket science, nor is it fine art. There is certain protocal that has to be followed(NHI having one of the best), some tedious work with trained staff, and some small design concepts that make for a good Dr. Also, staying up to date, and being a caring surgeon who respects there patients is very important. Bruce seems to have found his surgeon. Best of luck Bruce
  12. Bruce, you did your job, and this is the Dr. you feel most comfortable with. i believe that you are making the right decision. best,
