  1. I went through sheding to with propecia. It took a while for the drug to kick in for me. I think for me it was a year and couple of months when i saw some results. I have been taking propecia for now 4 years and I am happy with the results. I believe that it has halted alot of the balding process for me in my crown. It has not done anything for me for the temples and the hairline.
  2. I have heard alot of things concerning the lazer comb, but you know what, I know what kind of scumb bags are out there and for that reason, I have decided to stay away from things that are not fda proven. There are always new fads out there, and I am so sick of them that I dont even bother wasting my time or money on them. I am using propecia and I am very happy with the results.
  3. Looked at your pics, and you know what, I have heard of great things about Hasson & Wang, if they can do 5600 or more in one sitting why not go for it. I had 2 HT's, 1800 and 2576, with two different doctors. What I am saying is, going through a HT is not such a great thing. Why not get all you can out of your strip in one sitting than going through it twice or a 3rd time.
  4. Can somone please explain the difference between the two, propecia and proscar. Are they the same drug or what. I am alittle confused. I have been on propecia for about 4 years, and was intersted in something stronger. Does anyone get proscar of propecia online with out a pescribtion.
  5. Tri? I dont know, it looks to big for me. Let me explain. For my first HT, I had a big scar, the doctor used setures, I think thats how you spell it. Your scar looks very similar like my scar from my first HT. I just had my second HT, April 24/2006, with Dr. Feller. He used the trio technice and my scar is very small compared to my old one. I mean, in my second HT, Dr. Feller cut the old scar out, so I have only one scar now. My point is, my current scar, is very small compared to what my old scar looked like..
  6. Wow, thats a fishy scenerio. If you are looking for doctors in NY who do good work at good prices, check out Dr. Feller. I had a HT with in on 4/24/06 where he did over 2500 grafts for around 8700. If you are looking for a high end doctor, I had my first HT with Bernstein, 1800 for about 10K. Although Bernstein is a very good doctor, his prices are very high in my opion. I liked Dr. Feller and his work. I am just waiting to see the results from my second HT with Dr. Feller.
  7. Do you have any photos you can post up, It would really help alot of people if we could see pictures of how you are now and what you looked like before your 3 HT's. I just had my second HT, but with my first HT, I had not noticed any growth up to 3 to 4 months, and around 9 to 10 months it really started to kick in for me.
  8. No pain, no swelling. Come on, everyone has alittle of both or one. I had my transplant done with Dr. Feller. He did good work, but my hairline seems crooked, I am waiting for the 6 month period, for the hair to really grow and have a second look at with with dr. feller. The pain was really bad for me the day after the surgery, I almost could not bare it. My swelling started on the 2nd day and last for 5 days. Although, Dr. Feller does great work, lets not say no swelling, no pain, no nothing. There is always something.
  9. I just had a HT with Dr. Feller. He did nice work. I got around 2500 grafts done. My hairline is a little crooked but I am still happy. He seems like a nice guy and all I have heard about him was nice things. His office could use alittle work because it is very unorganized.
  10. Its probably the salt. It did not hurt? No irritation? I am going to cancun right after my HT, so if my doc says it helps, i will keep my white ass in the salty water for hours.
  11. Ocean water? Helps you heal? This is the first time I am hearing this. If there is any thrueth to it please post it up.
  12. Yeah it is kind of to early, give it alittle time and see what happenes..
  13. If you are only 23, I would take the advice the others have given and wait. You really do not know how much more you are going to loose. Also why would you go with FUE. Why not do a strip and get as much as you can. There is a big price different. I am going to be having my second HT, both have been strip. I am leaving the option of FUE to make touch ups down the road, wich such a price tag for FUE, I think that is the only reasonw hy one should spend that much money.
  14. You know, loosing hair is such a problem. I mean, some people are okay with it, and some people just dont give a damn, but for others its a big problem. Seriously, sit down and think about it, I have. Remember when you were young and had a full head of hair, remember looking in the mirror and saying, wow I have such great hair. Well loosing that, loosing your hair is like loosing or having all those memories become vague. Thats how I felt, I felt so depressed, I felt so unhappy, unattractive and any other word you can think of. I dont want to loose my hair, why do I have to loose it. It makes me feel young, it makes me look good. I just dont have any words to describe how I felt when I first noticing that hair looss was becoming a problem. I had my first HT about a year ago and feel so much better seing all this hair on my head. I am having my second HT in April and cant wait for the outcome of that. Going bald is a big problem, at least for me it is.
  15. Listen and listen very closely. I wish I was 19 and had heard of propecia. I swear, things would have been so much different for me. I started, well my barber started noticing my hairloss when I was still in high school at the age of 18. If I had heard of propecia, forget rogain and the herbal stuff, I would have started using it the second I had heard about it. I am now 29 and entering 30 in 2 months. I have been using propecia for about 4 years and have gained alot of hair that I was loosing. I have done so many things, I have even went to the extreme of putting olive oil and crushed garlic on my head and wearing it during sleep. If you are really worried about loosing your hair, and if you are 19 and have noticed hair loss, I would strongly recommend using propecia. When you have the sexual side effects dont give up, try it for 6 to 8 months and see if the side effects do go away, thats if you get any. When you are 25 or 30 you will be very thankfull that you have found this forum and have learned about propecia. One more thing, I have not had any regrowth or slowing down in the temple area. If that is where you are loosing or thinning than I would just say skip it and start thinking about using propecia when your crown or mid scalp starts thinning.
