  1. Is "you decide" a new doctor? What tool does he use? Meet as many of his patients before having a procedure. I just had to type that
  2. Go on Propecia for two years and then concider a hair transplant.....at 31 with mild recesion you will would have great results. It looks good that you will have most of your hair for the rest of your life, if you only have a "mild" recesion AT 29. What you are going through is called a "mature" hairline, 85% of men will have this. And it does not mean you are going bald. It just means that your body is getting older. Good-luck.
  3. If you just started to take these meds, it will take 12 months before you see any results. Also realize that what you are taking are PREVENTIVE drugs and will not grow hair, maybe in the crown. Stay on track and keep at what you are doing.
  4. What your doing is right on the mark. There is not much more you can do in terms of meds. Maybe look into Dutasteride - but the side effects are not yet know. Your hat or toppic have nothing to do with your hairloss. I would suggest that you see a Doctor - there may be other factors: diet etc. I can't comment of a HT - because I have no idea what Norwood Scale you are at. But it would not hurt to see one of the recommended Doctors on this forum. I would suggest Dr. Burnstein. He is know for a very conservative approach to hairloss and is more likely yo tell you to lose weight and get in shape if you don't need one. But slow down and realize that you are doing everything you should do.
  5. Hi Arfy - everyone. I do agree with most if not all of your comments Arfy - you are well-informed. However, it should be noted that not every doctor transplants just one patient per day. Even many of the top doctors on this forum do not practice this. It depends on many factors: the level of hair loss for each patient and methods. Dr. Jones is involved in the procedure from start to finish. Should his patient need 3000 grafts with the strip method it would take him the entire day. But if he has two patients of 1500 grafts each - he can do each one in about 4 hours, thus an 8 hour day
  6. You want 50 hairs per centimeter. That's a good amount. Some will say that less is ok if your hair is thick and is blonde - I don't think this is the case. Here is why: Most people have 200 hairs per centimeter before they start to lose their hair. That works out to about 1000 grafts in HT terms. Now, you can still have the appearance of a full head of hair at 100 hairs per centimeter (50 grafts), even though you may have lost a great deal of hair (50%). 100 hairs works out to 50 grafts because most people have 2 hairs per graft (50 grafts =100 hairs). Anything less than 50 grafts (100 hair) per centimeter and you won't have a "full" look. Keep in mind that this will only give the appearance of a "full" head of hair - you can never recreate what once was. There is an issue on dense packing between Dr's. But I suspect that it comes down to not knowing the technique. Just remember to ask your Dr. how many grafts will be needed to acheive 100 hairs per centimeter, and I think you will be happy with the results. Anything less, you you run the risk of "see through" hair. Also, there are some doctors who think that you should go less and try to acheive say 25 grafts per centimeter. But if you look through this board, you will find that most patients who end up with 25 or less grafts per session always go back for another to acheive 50, which ='s the 100 hairs per centimeter. Why not just do it in one pass. Hope this helped.
  7. In your website, you stated: "After my surgery I had a Doctor from another clinic count the density of hair on my head." There is your witness. Contact that doctor. If he/she is a "top" doctor and cares about his/her patients, he/she will agree to take the stand. Also, fight this. Don't feel that because you now have to prove that they "screwed" you in court that you're going to lose. I have a good feeling that the clinic is calling your bluff. Once the courts see your pictures, you will be fine. After it's over, it's your turn to take the clinic to court, which is what you should have done before. Good-luck
