These are two of the top dogs in the industry. I doubt you'll get the answer you are looking for here, both are aces and like dewayne said, Beamer or Lexus? You should send your photos to both offices and have a consultation with each doctor and choose the one that your gut tells you to. I will say that in my own opinion, thus the reason I chose him, Rahal has built his world class reputation for hairline work.

your doc should supply you with a note for security guys, worked for me. i wore a surgical cap from canada back to the states, also supplied by the doc.

It's common sense months 1-4 are the toughest and now I can vouch for that. I'm only 5 and a half weeks out and have lost the majority of the grafts. I've chosen to buzz my hair down to a #1, so the scar screams at anyone behind me and my MPB screams to anyone in front of me. Add in the pimples and you've got yourself one fugly situation. I know it is all part of the process- but even knowing that- it still sucks! Just curious if there is any harm in squeezing the pimples? I have a real hard time walking out of the house with the little, white spots on my soon to be hairline.

If a person is going to take the opinion for their surgeon solely from someone who hasn't even had work done, their a lost cause anyway... Obviously an executive decision has been made but it is not one I am fond of. We don't know the specifics of Pat and NG2GB's pm's, but was it enough to remove the most entertaining posters right to post in a community based forum? And not only entertaining but educating as well. I did not always agree with or was I always amused by his antics but he is a staple on this forum and it WILL NOT be the same without the dude. I hope the two of you can work it out and he is allowed to come back.

I'm less than a week post op, I'm flying to Mexico on Monday, so 10 days post op I will be out of the country (am going to be there for a while). I discussed this with Dr. Rahal already but would like some feedback from you guys. His advice was to wait 14 days post op and try to find a clean, reputable clinic to have them yanked. I'm going to do some volunteer work so not sure when I'll be where, not a life or death situations but my predicament is: Do I get my sutures out here in the states early and flirt with whatever risks come with that OR Have them removed from Lord knows where in Mexico and flirt with the risks that could come with that??

Yes scooby, I too have been told by Dr. Rahal do wait two weeks to remove sutures. My issue is that two weeks post surgery I will be in Mexico and I am not sure that I want to trust a Doc there to remove the many stitches. I may have them removed a bit earlier in Dallas by a family doctor whom I know and trust. Dwayne, I am impressed by your recovery. I've followed all the docs instructions and am still swollen like a prize fighter. It has entitled me to some pretty good b.s. stories!

Hell, you could tell me that it does no good after 5 years and I'd still keep popping it. I certainly noticed it help slow down my balding. I've heard on this forum that after 10 yrs. its benefits decrease. I've been on it 8 yrs. and will continue 'til I'm convinced otherwise.

Never heard of them and after visiting their website you should forgot you've heard of them. $2.00 grafts and they claim they are the only clinic with such an offer, go figure. Please visit the "recommended surgeons" link above. IMO, these are the only surgeons you should even consider! Period. And there is atleast one in Florida but DO NOT let distance contribute to your decision. There is a lot of shady and money hungry businesses out there preying on people like yourself. J-Man, The 'easy' part of actually having the procedure is behind you, the hard yards of waiting is both tedious and frustrating! Be patient and try not to compare yourself to others, we all grow differently. I'm only 4 days post op and must have looked in the mirror hundreds of times and taken the same amount of pics on my digital camera. I guess everyone's advice and the advice given to others doesn't pertain when it is yourself in the situation. Grow baby grow, mBm

Not sure if its the flying the day post op or the amount of lidocaine that I had injected in my head, but something has given me one swollen nugget! I look as if I've gone a couple of rounds with Kimbo Slice( ). The pain from the donor strip which kicked me arse the first night has subsided. But my face is quite comical (guess I've got to make the best of it). Also, Dr. Rahal called today just to check in and also talk a little hockey. Super nice gesture.
