  1. Hi, I'm seriously considering having a HT with Dr. Epstein in the very near future. Are there any Epstein patients in Manhattan who'd be willing to meet up briefly? Obviously, happy to meet you anywhere/anytime that's convenient for you. Many, many thanks in advance. Feel free to email at rem_nyc[AT]yahoo.com

  3. Hi, I recently went for a consultation with Dr. Epstein and he explained to me that he wouldn't be able to use the hair from the donor strip to cover both the frontal areas and the crown region. Another doctor might be willing to do it, he said, but he wouldn't because it wouldn't look natural, particularly as I got older. (I'm 31.) That made sense -- and I really appreciated his honesty and insistence on doing what's going to be best and not just telling me what I wanted to hear. And it seems that many men go ahead with the procedure even though the transplant isn't going to cover the balding area completely. Is there anybody who's been in this situation who can comment on this issue? I'm just wondering whether to go ahead with HT even though only the front of my head will be filled in (he suggested 2300 grafts) and the crown will remain very thin. Any thoughts on the subject would be most appreciated...
