  1. This local patient to the clinic dropped into see Dr Wong for an update on his progress after just 4 months. The results so far speak for themselves. We shall follow up with this patient and update you all as his final results come in. Latest In Person Consultation Dates Toronto March 4-5th New York March 14-17th Washington D.C. March 21st -23rd Meet Dr Hasson In Rome, Italy March 20th-22nd and Milan March 24-26th Madrid, Spain April 2nd-3rd Calgary April 15-17th
  2. Excellent advice by home1212, in theory you could have FUE at 6 months after your FUT but give yourself sometime to see how the results look and more importantly time to see how you feel. Maybe the crown won't bother you after restoring the front maybe it will but only after living with it for a while will you know.
  3. I would say that you hair looks longer in the 4 month photos you should grow your hair out as Spanker suggests when the hair is low density like that then hair length can add to the illusion and transplants look better when the hair is medium length as it can layer over one another creating a fuller look.
  4. Johnnybald, I am not quite sure of your intentions here to make a post on this subject and make serious accusations that perhaps we edit our photos to enhance the after result but let me explain. The patient that you linked to I would say that the after photos are brighter if you pay attention to the colour of the wall. So in this case according to your logic on judging the colour of the wall rather than the subject we have possibly altered the contrast of the above photo to make the after photos lighter. This would make the final result look thinner, wouldn't it? What benefit would there be to lighten an after photo. The answer is a combination of things which can only be overcome if you have a studio with consistent lighting and the same photographer, camera etc. Dr Wong has a blue background in one of his surgery rooms which is a different shade of blue to that of the one that is more commonly used in the hallway. Before photos are usually taken in his room at 6.30am by Dr Wong or one of his technicians after photos taken months years later are usually taken by my colleague Doug when the patient come in for a follow up. Getting consistent lighting is a challenge for any clinic that uses an area that has changes in natural light. As we do not have a studio to take photos the lighting changes depending on the time of day. The blue background is there so that you can judge the result and not be distracted by the background. We am very proud of how we display our results and this has been a constant source of praise from patients on this forum over the years. Many clinics have followed our lead over the years showing large, bright, hi res, no flash photos with the same consistent angles.
  5. I have a pill splitter that I brought nearly 10 years ago and is still cutting my proscar. I do cut into quarters and take daily as splitting it into 5 pieces is too difficult. You will loose some in the cut but works out much more cost effective than buying Propecia. This is similar to what I have.
  6. This patient in his twenties from Italy visited Dr Wong for a follow up during Dr Wong's last trip to Italy in 2015. At that stage he was only 7 months out from surgery but already had an impressive transformation and was very happy to let us show his photos. He might expect to see some more growth from that stage but he will benefit from the maturation of the hair as it settles down and become less frizzy which will add to the final result. 7. Really happy for you and I would not be in a rush to do anything I think you have a great looking head of hair and hairline.
  8. Congratulations Dutchie, happy to have been able to help you so far on your journey and looking forward to following your progress. Do you have the photos taken on the day or would you like for me to email them to you?
  9. I will be holding free consultations in central Madrid on Saturday April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd 2016. The consultations will be with myself a hair transplant veteran and patient advisor who has had 5 transplants spanning over 20 years and my Spanish speaking colleague. We will be able to explain our procedure in detail, answer any questions you have regarding surgery, show you what a transplant can look like on a Norwood 6 and take clear photos for a recommendation from either Dr Hasson or Dr Wong. If you would like to meet with me in person or for more information please email me on david@hassonandwong.com or call 0757 8164162. David

  12. It looks like a scab has come away before it was ready to. At 9 days the stem cell that is going to produce the new hair is secure in your scalp so not to worry.
  13. The colour is correct we supply you with a black baseball cap. Good luck for Wednesday you are in excellent hands.
  14. This is not really acceptable you should be aware what the plan for the surgery should be, are you having FUE or FUT, approximate number of grafts and the cost. You should have been provided with pre and post op instructions. I would not be happy traveling half way around the world as a repair patient or any patient not knowing what the basis of your surgery will be. I would email them now demanding to know what they propose if they can't give you an idea I would cut your losses and go elsewhere. It may just be a breakdown in communication but you need to know these things.
  15. Yes it is very normal and I have personally seen much worse cases than this so not to worry. I wish you all the best.
  16. Dutchie, That's great news for you. You need to pick up the pace with the scalp laxity exercises then, oh and no more sitting around getting drunk all night, at least not for a couple of weeks
  17. Congratulations on your recent surgery sounds like it is a case of third time lucky. Having been in a similar situation I wish you all the best. Dr Devoyre produces good work and is a nice guy so I expect a great outcome for you. Would be good to see some pics.
  18. Chestnut, sorry I missed this. Temple points are usually the icing on the cake for patients and are either something that are done by request or recommendation by the Doctor, but at times we may not recommend doing them. However you don't see many clinics doing temple points, do you? They are far more challenging to create and the angle that the incision is made is quite different to the angle that is made into the hairline. Temple points on patients with dark coarse hair like this patient are the biggest challenge.
  19. Citizenkage, Thanks for the update things are growing in well. Please keep us all updated. Thisguy- Shaving the donor area is a choice for the patient and not something we insist on. Quite often a patient will decide that as we are shaving the top we may as well shave the sides and back.

  21. This local patient to our clinic in his mid thirties came to see Dr Hasson to have his temple recession restored and the immediate hairline density improved to provide a better frame to his face. Due to the patients coarse and wavy donor hair Dr. Hasson was able to use a modest number of grafts to bring about a significant cosmetic change. The photos that are displayed are at only 6 months and further refinement is expected. It is also worth noting that this patient has had significant early growth that is not typical of all patients at this stage. Grafts: 1842 Singles: 527 Doubles: 1245 Multiples: 70
  22. Yes, Good call that is exactly my plan for later in the year mix some scalp hair obtained by FUE with some beard hair not sure about chest hair although I do have a decent supply of that I have a very good beard supply. I would put these in the crown and perhaps some in my older scars.
  23. Dutchie, I would agree it is best to stay a couple of days if possible after surgery so you can return for your first hair wash and check up. No you cannot use minoxidil until two weeks after surgery. All the best.
