  1. I'm a female patient who had basically lost my hairline due to hereditary thinning. My hairline is now intact and growing nicely. My private before pictures show very severe thinning and I'm not comfortable posting. I'll attempt to get pics from Dr. Epstein (with my identity hidden) and post those photos.
  2. Oh so you know, I recreated my username because I forgot my password. I'm now pjt versus hair_help. I have another question for Mrs.Hair: Did you get dense packing? I didn't so I'll probably need to go back for a second procedure.
  3. Mrs. Hair, Doctor E and his staff were great. I'm in the awkward stage right now and I don't have enough hair to cover the scabs (I had frontal balding) so I'll be wearing a hairpiece until I see some growth. Also, my donor only yielded 1790 grafts versus the 2000 I was scheduled to received. I'm still afraid to wash the hair.. I haven't washed yet, maybe on day five (tomorrow) I'll wash. Keep us posted on your progress
  4. Thanks for all the replies. I think I'm in a post transplant depression,,it's not too bad but I really don't like this interiem look added to the fact that I've lost 3 grafts (well the areas had a stream of blood anyway). I received 1790 grafts total (my donor didn't yield any more than that). So hopefully the three lost grafts will not make much different. I do want to say that I'm very comfortable with the expertise of my doctor..
  5. Hi, I just had my HT procedure on July 15th and it looks like I already have some shock loss. How do I know if that area of hair has minituarized and if so, will Rogaine regrow the hair? Also, are there any natural remedies that can help jumpstart the regrowth. Has anyone had success with grape seed extract? Thanks.
  6. Badger, Thanks for the response. I'm looking forward to seeing the new hairs sprout. I did notice that the lost graft had two hairs in it, but my donor only yielded 1790 grafts, so every single graft is very important. Any suggestions on preventing additional lost. Also, how long was it before you started to see results? Thanks
  7. So, I know there's not many female patients here, but I just wanted everyone to know that I had a really wonderful experience with Dr. Epstein and his team. Everyone was really kind and understanding and knowledgeable. I do want to say that this is not an easy process for a female. I know I'm only in the second day and this "look" is hopefully temporarily. It is very "ugly duckling" and it seems though I've already had the shock loss. I have a couple of questions, hopefully someone can stop by and help: 1) Is it normal to have the shock loss so soon? why does my hair look balder than before? 2) Also, I lost a graft (I saw the fatty substance on the end of the hair and the area was bleeding). I didn't do anything to my head, it was covered with a bandana from yesterday til today. What could have made me lose this graft Any way I will keep you all posted on my results. Thanks
