  1. I'm asian and I had good results with Dr. Alexander. If you want to see pictures, check out my blog. No scars in the back and I am very pleased.
  2. Congratulations! I'm going to get another one once I save more money. It's definitely worth it.
  3. I also want to add that Dr. Alexander fixed my scar in the back. You can't even tell that I had surgery because the line in my back has disappeared. If anyone wants to contact me, feel free to email me. I recommend Dr. Alexander 'cause he did a great job fixing my scar.
  4. BEFORE AFTER I just want to say that I'm happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Alexander.
  5. Hi everyone! Sorry for the very late update! 2008 was a very hectic and busy year for me and wasn't able to update my blog, but it's no excuse. I just updated it! http://www.hairtransplantnetwo...e-page.asp?WebID=461 and I just want to say that I am very happy with my transplant. I highly recommend Dr. Scott Alexander. Dr. Alexander will be sending me the pictures that he took of me today, so I'll put that also in my blog. In the meantime, here are my latest pics!
  6. Congrats. It doesn't even look like you had surgery by looking at the pictures. I had my HT 5 weeks ago and the top of my hair was shaved.
  7. 5 week update. Sorry guys for not updating this too soon. I'm on my 5th week and I've experienced major shock loss! I've updated my blog and you can see the latest pics. Kind of depressing! Hopefully, they'll start growing soon. I went to my family doctor and he prescribed me some Finasteride. Am I supposed to cut this into 4 or half? I still have some propecia that dr. alexander prescribed me and still taking that. Anyway, when do I start seeing hair growth??
  8. I just saw the commercial and was wondering if anyone has tried this. I was wondering if it would help my hair transplant grow faster. Thanks.
  9. Hi guys, It's been 3 weeks after my HT and I am getting zits on my transplanted area. I think I have experienced shockloss too because some of the transplanted hairs came off after about 3 1/2 weeks! I can see the tiny holes and I'm getting bumps and zits. Is this normal? Should I put pimple creams on my head? I just don't want to plug it up if it needs to grow. Help!

  11. arizona99, Check out this thread. Dr. Alexander just performed my surgery this month. Also check out my blog to see my progress. Cheers.
  12. Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep updating my blog when I start growing hair. I just got a haircut today to even out the growth and I told my hairdresser that I just had a surgery. She said, she couldn't tell where they planted the hair. She tried to hide my donor area as much as possible, but she couldn't go any shorter otherwise it would be fully exposed. She said the back is healing pretty well. I also just started taking propecia. Also washing my hair with organic aloe shampoo, graftcyte post surgical shampoo really helps with the healing. At night, I apply 100% aloe to my graft area and also the bacitracin. I don't really like Minoxidil, so I ditched it. I just take the pills. B12, Beta sitosterol, MSM and propecia. Donor area still a little red, but she said it's healing pretty well.
  13. Hi guys, Here's my 7th day update. The redness is pretty much gone. The Bacitracin and 100% Aloe ointment and organic aloe shampoo really helped with the healing process. I don't think I lost any grafts since I followed all the instructions and the tiny little hair looks longer. Here are my update pictures. (7th day progress) Front Crown I'm scheduled to have my stitches removed tommorow.
  14. Hi guys. I went to the Vitamin shoppe and it's expensive over there. Cost almost $30 for a 100 pills, so I went to Safeway and they have it on sale for $8.95 and it's buy one, get one free this week. A good time to stock up!
  15. Never mind. I found it! MSM stands for Methyl Sulfony Methane. I'm going to the vitamin shoppe and buy this product. I think GNC might have one too. Thanks.
  16. Bill, I was reading the Post-surgical tips and it says: "Consider getting on MSM (some people swear that it helps hair grow faster)" What is MSM ????
  17. charlieb, 1126 grafts doesn't seem alot, I think we have a similar case. However, I just received 2300 grafts from Dr. Alexander Here are my pics. I've had previous surgeries. As you can see, there are hairs growing on my crown and kind of scattered and some are thicker. That was from a previous surgery. I had my 3rd one and this is where I got my grafts. and then Dr. alexander fixed my hairline because I had some obvious hair transplant in the front from previous surgeries. Dr. placed the grafts to cover and fix them. I think it's a good idea that you keep using your laser comb, rogaine and propecia. I'm going to do the same. I also changed my food habit. I eliminated a lot of food that might cause hairloss and started eating food that promotes hair growth. Since I don't eat meat, protein is very important for healthy hair. I eat alot of protein rich foods such edaname, tofu, soy, seeds, beans and nuts. I cook a lot, so I always include lots of biotin rich foods as brewer's yeast and soybeans in my food and lots of Vitamin B rich vegetables such as kelp, bananas, sunflower seeds, almonds, lots of green veggies. I don't like fatty foods and if I crave chips, I usually cook my own using olive oil. My favorite is Kale, it's a green vegetable that is rich in vitamin A, C, B6 and manganese. I usually roast it with almonds and it's really good.
  18. It would help if you provide us with a link of your photo gallery. Thanks!
  19. I've heard about that somewhere. Knox gel does that, but it's too bad it's not vegan. I've read in another message board that taking 250 mg of L-carnitine and at least 10 mg of CoQ10 together everyday. Your hair and nails will double their growth. I-carnitine is a compound of the amino acids lysine and methionine. CoQ10 is used by our body to turn the energy in food into the energy our body uses. The theory is that that presence of the CoQ10 makes the our body recognize the L-carnitine as protein. That jump starts the production of biotin. That makes your skin excrete keratin which is hair. Both L-carnitine and CoQ10 are widely available at places like GNC and they're cheap (you'll spend less than 20 for both). You will notice the faster growth immediately. And just so you know in advance- this means all your hair.
  20. Today is my 3rd day after my HT. 2nd day, I didn't wash my hair, I just kind of dab water on the side 'cause I was a bit concerned with the grafts accidentally falling off. 3rd day, I applied some bacitracin oinment on my grafts to help remove the scabs quicker in a week. I went to walgreens this evening and the lady said bacitracin is much better than neosporin. I am going to wait to shampoo my hair in a few hours. I bought some organic aloe shampoo this evening and going to use it later.
  21. I've heard that a shampoo that is rich with vitamin ingredients such as biotin and panthenol is really good for you. . "Clarifying" shampoos can help unblock hair follicles on the scalp and promote growth. Can anyone recommend a shampoo that I don't have to order online and can just get in a grocery store? I've heard Sodium Laurel Sulfate is bad for your hair. Just wondering if anyone can recommend hair shampoo that works for them especially after a hair transplant. Thanks.
  22. Where can I get cosmetic grade emu oil? Can you recommend? send me a pm. Thanks!
  23. I just got some emu oil on ebay and hopefully it works! I'm going to apply it on my scar and hopefully it will help heal the scar!
  24. I have a laser comb, but haven't used it in 3 months. I guess I should start again since I just had a transplant. There's a video on youtube about the lasercomb and Matt Lauer uses it.
