  1. 2 years went fast. But what a difference. I'll try to post some more side by side comparisons shots.
  2. I just passed the two year mark and I can honestly say having my hair transplant was one of my best decisions I've ever made. Selecting Dr. Jeffery Epstein was also a great decision. The transition from losing my hair to having it grow back was painless and unnoticeable. No one even knew that I had a HT other than I looked better, younger and I wasn't bald. By selecting Dr. Epstein there was no need to shave my head prior to my HT. That still to this day was my biggest concern. Thanks Dr. Jeff. I would recommend you to everyone. It's kind of funny that I now find myself complaining that my hair grows like a weed and that I'm due for another hair cut To think it was only a short time ago that I would look in the mirror and just be amazed how bald I'd become. For those of you out there still not sure if you should take the leap or not, I would say get educated, meet with several doctors, don't let location or cost be a factor and look forward to a new you. I would do it again in a heart beat.

  4. I've added an outdoor photo. Looks thinner than when I'm inside but still looks very natural. In this photo my hair isn't really combed but rather just pushed back. Remember that I only had 2100 grafts. I could really thicken it up with about a 1000 more. Maybe down the road. What do you think?
  5. I've added an up close view of my hairline. Big difference from photo #1 taken pre Ht and photo #6 taken yesterday. It really shows the great work done by Dr. Epstein.
  6. Thanks Neptune and Furless. Furless, if you scan back a ways in this photo section you'll find my photos from pre-op to about 4 months post.
  7. Al, I too had great results with Propecia. My hair thickened up everywhere when I was taking it. However after a few months the side effects kicked in. I hope you are one of the lucky ones and don't experience what I went through.
  8. Gorpy- You've gotta be happy with your results also. Looks GREAT. Bill- 2100 grafts by Dr. Epstein. He did a great job. Mrjb- I agree. I've got a ways to go. It's like it comes in spurts. Keep in mind that I've stopped using Propecia which did thicken my hair. It just wasn't worth the bad side effects I was experiencing.
  9. After two full years. What a difference. Thank you Dr. Epstein. Great Job.

  11. I'm a couple days shy of the six month mark and I'm VERY, VERY, VERY happy with the results so far. To all the guys and gals out there that are confused and nervous about taking the plunge I'm here to say DO IT!! Would I do it again? Absolutely. Was it worth the thousands of dollars? Every penny. Do you have to shave your head to get great results? Hell No. Did it hurt? No. Did people notice? Only that I look better. I had my driver picture license taken yesterday and the guy behind the counter commented that I looked younger in my new photos than I did in the old one. When I compared the two side by side I agreed. I selected Dr. Epstein in Florida. That meant I had to book a flight and hotel. Again, well worth it. He did a great job. His staff was top notch. I would and have recommended him to everyone. I've posted some new comparison shots. The original balding photos were taken last August before I knew about such things as Propecia (which I've stopped using), Hair Transplants (other than the Bosley Info-mmercials) and this great forum. Look for yourself. And let me know what you think.

  13. Hi everyone- It's been about four weeks since I've stopped Propecia and I'm happy to say all the side effects seem to be gone. I wake up with a woody and my desire to have sex has returned. Even my chest has shrunk since stopping. I do workout a lot and my pecs were turning into tits. (another side effect). I was one of a small percentage of Propecia users that gained in the front of their head. My hair became a lot thicker and stronger on Propecia. Since stopping it has thinned a bit but it's ok. I still look better than I did this time last year. (Pre - HT) I'm gonna give it more time. If I do decide to go back I might try andy79 recommendation and lower the usage.
  14. Gorpy, looks awesome. I agree with Pushing 40, you have one of the best hairlines on this site. It just keeps getting better every month.
  15. Bill, Looks great. I just can't believe you're talking about a 4th HT. I thought the whole idea of a mega session was to limit the amount of surgeries. More or less to get it over with in one session not four..... I'm curious, would you change doctors for the 4th time too? Man....you could have bought a real nice ride or paid for part of a college tuition for your kids for what you'll have spent! I just think between what you have now and what you'll have in another 4 to 6 months you'll be just fine. Just my opinion.
  16. Neptune you're at the hardest point of this process. The waiting game. Hang in there. Next month you should see some nice growth. And by they way, great camera shots.
  17. As a patient of Dr. E. I can appreciate your admiration and praise. The guys the best out there.
  18. It's been almost two weeks since I stopped taking Propecia and things are returning to normal. Waking up with a woody again is a good thing.
  19. I recommend Epstein. You're gonna get all your questions answered. You're gonna get a great staff and a Doctor that always comes recommended by former patients. I've been on this forum for almost a year and I can't remember one bad thing ever written about the man. Save up your money and go with the best. Looking back you'll be glad you did.
  20. Hey Bill, I've been lucky. I've had a lot of growth over the first 5 months. And like you said its still early. I'm not sure what the safe zone is but I can tell you that my scar is almost gone. It's nothing more than a faint line. I'll post a few photos later.
  21. 5 month update. I've stopped Propecia because of the side effects. Just not worth it for me. I am expecting my hair to thin out now that I'm Propecia free. As for my current status my hair looks great. In indoor lighting it looks much fuller and you can see a big difference compared to this time last year. I'm still thin but thats ok because you can't see all the way through. It looks natural and I look better. I've posted updated photos but good luck finding them with this new photo format. It's a shame. The old system was great.
  22. Wow, I decided to quit Friday. I had some truly great results but the side effects are out weighing my gains. I've emailed my HT doctor (Dr. Epstein) for some advise to an alternative. I'll share the results with everyone.
  23. Middleson, Great topic. In indoor lighting I strut around like a proud peacock. My hair looks thick and filled in but in reality it's not. I find myself staying away from indoor spot lights. They are ego killers. In other types of lights I find myself thinking "Damn Bro, you look good". Being past 4 1/2 months post op I know I have a ways to go but having the right lighting sure does help. As for the hair greed, I never thought I would fall into that but slowly it does creep back into my mind that maybe on more HT might do the trick. But only time will tell.
  24. Sin TPA, Dr. Epstein and his staff are top notch. Being a patient of Dr. Epstein myself (1/17/07), I sure your results will be fantastic. Happy Growing!!
  25. I am experiencing a lot of the side effects from Propecia. My wife is starting to complain.... But my hair looks good. (LOL)
