  1. Great news for the American war machine. Fox is absolutely beside themselves reading the government teleprompters. Sadaam obviously had to go off Propecia once he hit the streets, doesn't seem to have had any down effect yet though and I'm thinking that he probably traveled with his colorist. I'm sure hes quite happy that he can lose the beard now though. I'm looking forward to the Barbara Walters interview.
  2. Probably makeup. Unless you get up close and personal the camera will lie to you. By the way, I think I saw some work on Liam Neeson in previews for a Christmas movie. Sort of a frontal thickening but who can say? best,WWH
  3. StartingOut, I concur with you on that. You really have to travel out of the area if you live in California, that is the irony. I'm sure people have had good work done by a few here but the chances and the results I have seen again and again in photos out of Canada and Minneapolis are just too convincing. But then people often just want to cut corners and they feel inconvenienced by traveling and they worry about travel expenses, etc. To my mind now this is wrong thinking but each to his own. best,WWH
  4. Steve, you can email me if you wish. In my opinion, the doctors here are still using needles with sessions and the surface area of trauma is considerably larger than the newer breed of doctors using very fine custom made blades. There are long discussions on this site regarding this subject and it is critical that people understand the difference. NHI to my knowledge still uses the standard 18guage needle placement which was state of the art 5 years ago but certainly not now. I could be wrong about this but it seemed this is what they were doing a year ago. This is only my opinion. best,WWH
  5. T. you will be surprised by how little 1500 grafts really is in my opinion. I would say that is a conservative approach and you should not worry. best to you,WWH
  6. Stephen, please feel free to contact me at rthaler11@hotmail.com I researched for 2 years and live in the L.A. area To my knowledge there is no one in California doing the kind of work you need and please know that everyone will invariably recommend 'their' doctor as the best doctor for you. Do not listen, that would be a big mistake. You need the very best, period. I would be happy to point you in the right direction based on the tons of research I did and my experience. I would not base a decision on how close the doc is to you or how much you like him. Very big mistake and its commonly made. If you don't get the best, most skilled and advanced surgeon, your results will tend toward mediocre no matter how nice or well meaning the surgeon is. I work for no one but I do beleive in helping others avoid serious mistakes. all the best, WWH
  7. I have been told that in some cases Avodart can actually cause hair shedding, just the opposite of its intent. I'm wondering how much test documentation they have on this stuff. It would be no fun to be one of the ones with that reaction to this drug. WWH
  8. I don't know the guys name but a political commentator on Fox is clearly in the post surgical early growth stage of a major plant. Starting to look good too.
  9. Considering this patient is just 3 1/2 months out I suspect its too early to say much thats definitive about a white line or whatever. Comments from doctors would be appreciated at this juncture, the rest is speculation in my opinion. WWH
  10. Blues, you went to one of the best, its gonna look real good soon enough. I have found that wearing a bandanna is actually a plus. Women love it and its great for a bad hair week. They think your a pirate and then they want to be ravaged. Strange. All sorts of colors and styles too. Throw in a big Johnny Depp ear ring and your happening. best in healing and growth, WWH
  11. Jim, excuse my ignorance but I don't see any scarring. Can you be more specific? I think it would take either a much closer close up or a much more skilled eye than mine to see this. I have a feeling who can recognize it but thats another topic. I also suspect that if their is some scarring it may be due to too much dense packing in the front though that is a very wild guess. I think Cureus looks good now but I am a rank amateur, a pretender to the throne and no one should put much stock in my opinion. However I support his desire to get the plant and he will have a much thicker and more youthful hairline as a result. This would not have been possible back in the 90s but now with the refinement of skills and technology, I beleive it is. best,WWH
  12. One more thing and not that it matters but your photos show you to be right around where I was when I was 45. I'm nearly 53 now but I lost a considerable amount of hair in the front over those eight years despite being on minoxidil and then adopting Propecia. You seem to have wavy hair which is relatively thick in diameter so any loss you have had up until now is well diguised. As a performer myself I was able to disguise my thinning for many years with the same hair characteristics. You are very fortunate now however to find Shapiro at a time when very refined work can be done at your stage. That quality of work was simply not availble back in 95' to my knowledge. all the best in healing and in growth, WWH
  13. Paul, where can I get Lipoxidil? Your looking good. thanks,WWH
  14. Bluesman, Congratulations. Whats lost in all this conversation is the reality that a few years back your procedure may not have been adviseable because neither the technique nor the blades were refined enough. From all that I have read now however creating hairlines in a Norwood 2 or early 3 is very possible if the doctor is top notched and uses the latest techniques. I beleive that Dr Shapiro is using the lateral slit now and the incisions shown on you were obviously very small. This reduces the chance of trauma considerably. No way would I have let a guy using 18 guage needles attempt that kind of restoration on you imo. As far as what you want and how you look, thats all pretty personal stuff isn't it? I saw a new video of the one time boy rocker John Mellencamp the other night. He is going with a short brush look now and you can see in the stage light a bit of scalp coming thru. No big deal. Just the aging process. Beauty remains in the eye of the beholder. best in healing and in growth and thanks for posting your pics, WWH incidentally, I do not beleive one can assume stabilization of hair loss if your on Propecia in middle age. MPB can continue slowly thru the entire period. It has with me. I think its case by case. Then at around 65 or so there is senile hair thinning to deal with, a different phenomena but one that can effect quite a few men. There are not many givens in this arena and stabilization is a relative term. A more accurate definition is a slowing of the genetic thinning process of MPB imo. You look at somebody like a Clint Eastwood or a Paul Newman. Both men appear to have lost a ton of hair gradually between the ages of 45 and 70. Propecia may have helped arrest some of that had it been available 25 years ago but I seriously doubt it would have stopped their hair loss in its tracks at age 45. Just my opinion, all the best, WWH
