  1. Turns out the French were right about Iraq and Bushites were wrong... say, what about french toast? Who invented that? i haven't had it in a while, but it is good... it is good.
  2. I've been on Propecia for seven years now. I'm 40 years old. I had the best regrowth at 12 months of use, that was the peak, then over the next few years seem to have lost much of the regrowth, but still I have more hair than I had when I started. It seems that I lost most of the regrowth when I used Rogaine for six months with the propecia -- big mistake.
  3. I've been using the lasercomb for two years now. After only two weeks of use, I noticed many very fine hairs in my temples started to grow thicker and longer. However, after two years, they didn't really grow into anything that made much of a difference. Still, it makes me believe that the lasercomb really does do something...
  4. [promotional link removed by forum moderator - Robert] That's where I bought my Nizoral 2% -- they are in Canada. I received my order pretty quick...
  5. I agree with the fellas... it looks like if you grew your hair out you'd be fine. Crewcuts always make a thin spot look worse.
  6. Just to get back on this one, yes, experience has been that the crown transplants take much longer to grow than the front. I'd say that it was between the seventh and tenth month that I could see real improvement in my crown. So, be patient!
  7. Hi, I've been using the Lasercomb for well over a year now. I'd say that it does indeed thicken some vellous hairs, especially in the front hairline. I didn't notice any real improvement in the crown, but after only a few weeks of use I noticed some very fine vellous hairs in my hairline started growing longer, thicker, and darker. I can't say if the lasercomb stops further hairloss, because I have been on propecia for six years and that has stopped it. I think the lasercomb does work a bit, but it is not the cure we have all been wiaiting for that will grow back all your hair. The comb cost me $500 (for a reconditioned one) which is less than what I spent on Rogaine years ago (and Rogaine SPED UP my hairloss!) Hope that helps.
  8. Propecia/Proscar stabalizes your hairloss -- might even grow you some new hair. No sense in getting a HT if you're going to continue to lose the rest of your hair. Proscar really works, it is the best thing out there right now for stopping hairloss.
  9. Hmmm, sounds like what I'm going through right now. I had my HT 4 1/2 months ago - 1300 in the crown, and 200 extras in the front. Right at 3 months the hairs in the front started popping out, but it wasn't until about 4 months that I started to see anything in the crown. I can feel some kind of stubble back there, but it is growing painfully slowly. I guess we have to be patient, right? Good luck to you.
  10. Progaine has a root lifter also, that works sort of like mouse but doesn't make your hair feel gross. It works pretty well, but you've got to have some hair... I can do the "Motley Crue" look with it.
  11. Hi guys, I've been on Propecia for five and a half years. After a week or so of use, I too noticed a marked decrease in libido. I'm not saying I couldn't get it up, just that I was not nearly as horny as I was prior to starting Propecia. Also, my "loads" were much smaller than before. However, since the drug worked well and stopped my hairloss, I was willing to keep using it and sacrifice some horniness. I'd rather be less horny and have hair, than be a bald old horny pervert who can't get laid (heh heh) I'd say that after about a year of use, my libido started to return to normal. Five years later, it is about how it used to be, but my "loads" are still smaller than pre-Propecia, although it still feels just the same. All in all, I'm happy with Propecia -- it's the only thing that really works for me.
  12. hmmm, hard to say. I was using some cover=up sprays and stuff on my thinning spot too, worked really well, but it semed like I'd have to use more concealer to do the job over time, leading me to believe that the concealers were killing hairs! I only used the concealers once a week, or when I'd go out on the town. That's why I decided to get a HT, I want to not have to use concealers any more.
  13. those are probably the transplanted hairs, but don't be surprised if they all fall out within two-three weeks. That is normal, so is said.
  14. Are you on Propecia? I think it's a waste of time and money to get a HT if not... you will still lose your hair just leaving the transplanted hairs all by themselves. Gasp! I'd only recommend a Ht if you've been on Propecia for a year at least, and it is working for you -- that is, it stops further hair loss.
  15. propecia is the best thing that ever happened to me since I started losing my hair -- it's the only effective thing on the market, in my opinion. It sopped my hairloss cold, and yes, thickened a bit the hair in my hairline, as well as the back. I've been on it for five years.
