  1. Thanks Dewayne and Hairthere. I really am thrilled. I never realized how vain I was cause I keep looking in the mirror to make sure it's still there.
  2. Hi Thana and Please Grow I just had an 8 month follow up with Dr. Bernstein and I have to say that I could not be happier. I was 39 when I had the surgery. It still flips me out to see the hair back up there on my head especially the hairline itself - it's so natural. And I don't work for Dr. Bernstein by the way, I just think his work is superior.
  3. Thanks! I am looking forward to seeing what comes up.
  4. I can't believe how much hair I am seeing already. It is exciting.

  6. Hi Sanjuzzz, I'm real happy with my HT so far with Dr Bernstein. I just posted some more pics on my weblog here. Let me know if you have any specific questions, I'll do what I can to answer them.
  7. Hi Nick, Take a deep breath and relax. His office is spotless and so is his staff. I was in the chair the whole day during my procedure and there were no problems at all. I talked with his staff during the surgery and they are really sharp and know what they're doing and Dr. B's one of the best.
  8. I don't know who you went to but if you're not happy with the result, why would you go back again? Especially because now your talking about the repair or hiding of a scar. That's a different kind of surgery and you may have different options. I would start your research all over again.
  9. My search started one night when I was complaining to my girlfriend that someone at the blackjack table was staring at my head again. She did the first part of the research and found this site. Then I just started looking at photos and googling like crazy. I called a few different places, but I hate it when they hard sell you and I found that in a couple of places. Even though I'm not from the area, I chose Dr. Bernstein in New York. He didn't push me and really waited till I was comfortable with the whole thing. So far the results are great (I just put up some new photos on the blog today). He was worth the trip.
  10. Surprised you didn't find much on Dr. Bernstein. When I started my research I saw him like everywhere. Try googling him, his web site is huge. I can honestly say that I am extremely happy that I went to him. Let me know if you have any questions, I just put up some more photos on my hair transplant blog.
  11. Research research research. Look at FUE vs FUT, get more than one opinion. If you have pics it might help
  12. I had that thinking too when I first considered a transplant, but then I went with Bernstein and he's totally bald Lol. I asked him how come he didn't have one and he said when he was younger it never bothered him and when he got older he realized he wasn't a good candidate for a transplant. Believe it or not, that made me feel more confident with him. I figured he wasn't going to pressure me into something and he didn't. Are you still considering getting another transplant or repair or are you still attached to the hat? Have any photos you'd be willing to share?
  13. It's kind of odd that you have a doctors name and price list in the title of your post, do you have pictures, number of grafts, how long post op you are, etc?
  14. MikieB, I had my procedure with Dr Bernstein about 3 months ago. He's really honest and doesn't rush you. Wesley949 is right on target, Bernstein's website and the blog are great. I went with my brother for the consult and Dr B was totally straight in telling my brother that he wasn't a candidate and sent him home. I was, thankfully, and so far it's been a great experience. Good luck whereever you go.
