4. Just on the pure chance you have not read any of my other posts. HT consultants and doctors are not like regular docs. When you visit a regular doc you pay if your sick, not sick, he cures you, gives you a shot, or sends you to someone else. You pay to be in a room with him. Allot of young guys, myself included, visit HT doctors and do not realize that HT doctors are losing money when they talk to you. They only make money when they are cutting into your scalp. Their goal is to spend as little time as possible needed to get you under the knife. That's why they hire consultants, to do most of the dirty work. Consultant are on bonus plans. It's against the law to pay them straight commission. But it's pretty much the same thing. My point, when you enter a HT doctors' office, every minute they spend talking to you they lose money. They only make money when they get you under the knife. Remember that when you visit any HT doctor. What's in your best interest is not neccessarly in theirs. I got my HT work at your age. Biggest, biggest, biggest, mistake in my life. They should have rejected me, but an empty chair brings in no money. So they mislead me in many, many ways. The doctor was Dr. Paul Straub at www.bosley.com. Over the years I lost about 3 times as much hair. My hair loss slowed in my early thirties. I was about as bald as you at 25. By 40 I had the hair of Peter Boyle on "Everyone Loves Ramon." Good luck with what ever you.
5. How old are you David Letterman? You look real young. Bye the way I am starting to suspect that some of the posters here work for www.zieringmedical.com. I have no hard proof yet. But it's beginning to become clear. Beware when anyone recommends them. P.S. In my opinion, www.zieringmedical.com is a pretty unethical group. They actually do HT work on 20 year olds and younger. Kinda just like Bosley and MHR. Sending fake posters here to talk them up is right up their alley.
6. I really have nothing else to add. At this point only time can teach you what you will wish you had known "right now at this point/time in your life". I truly hope I am totaly wrong. Good Luck for real.
7. I just gotta say this. No doctor with any ethics would do work on a 20 year old kid. Especially a
quote:
expert hair transplant specialists An empty chair means no business. HT doctors need to keep their chairs full. The worse the doctor, the harder it is to fill the chair, the more unethical work they are willing to do. It's a nasty cycle that is financially driven. Most people, my self included, would never believe a doctor would mis-lead you for their own financial gain. But HT doctors like all doctors have overhead. They have to pay their bills. Unlike conventional doctors, HT doctors usually only make money if and when they operate. Patient consultations are a financial burden. The chair is where the money is. Gotta keep the chairs full and the scalps bleeding. If operating on a kid who really believes stretches your ethics a little but gets the bills paid then why not? If all goes well, the kid might not regret it for over 10 years. By then the doc will be retired or moved on. Personally, on merits alone I would have the doctor who operated on you sent to jail for at least one year. Whether or not your work comes out O.K. or not. IT IS UNETHICAL IN MY OPINION TO DO HT WORK ON ANYONE UNDER 25 AND IN MOST CASES 30 YEARS OF AGE. [This message was edited by MeHairBeGrowin on February 25, 2004 at 04:32 PM.]
8. Look me up in 10 years. You can tell me you told me so. Right now you have to much of a stake in the game to be objective. Good Luck and I really mean it.
9. I guess you don't read any of my post. You should read this thread. Read this. I'll make sure I put Ziering on my list, thanks. Good luck with your hair for real.
10. Where did you get your HT work done "Why Me"? What state do you live in?
11. I put a picture of a hair growing from a 20 year old dormant/bald follicle up in the future section on the bottom. If you think it's bullshit, then please come see it in person or send a friend. They or you will leave convinced. IT's REAL. IT REALLY, REALLY IS!
