  1. Hi Bill Thanks for the reply. My hair is similar to 3V on the scale but not as bad on the front (i.e. I still have wiffs of hair to comb but not much.) Surgery is not an option as it's too expensive and I've tried Rogaine before but had no real luck so I'm going to look into this saw palmetto and see what it's like. Do you think it's worth exploring the other factors that may be causing it? Thanks Nabil
  2. Hi I've been losing my hair very gradually since I was 19 (I'm now 25.) From the looks of it I'm on stage 3 vertex of the Norwood scale. I know it's not hereditary as no one in either side of my family suferred from it (I checked 3/4 generations back in depth.) I went to see a Tricologist (bloody useless) who asked my doctor to carry out some medical tests, which all came back negative. I'm starting to think that it might be something in my lifestyle that is causing the hair loss. I've accepted that it is falling out and I'm well past the denial stage but I can't help thinking that something might be causing the loss, which can actually be stopped. Perhaps it's my diet or something else in my lifestyle? I'm trying to find a list of factors but there seems to be so many. Does anyone have any online lists of causes of hairloss? This will help me narrow it down. I think it's at least worth exploring and I have nothing to lose. I've heard from friends in similar situations that something in their lifestyle caused the hairloss and with some palmetto saw (or whatever it's called) it grew back fully. Also, my scalp seems to get very oily the day after washing it. I seem to remember the days around a year ago when it was nice and soft for 2 days like everyone else in the world! Does anyone know any good shampoos or anything to deal with this? It's driving me nuts as it looks like crap. Please bear in mind I live in UK so they may not have certain products from your country over here. One last thing, I'm thinking of trying this saw palmetto as it seems to be the only thing that people don't complain about. Does anyone know how to use it? It seems to be used for other things rather than hair loss. Thanks for your time Nabs
