  1. The reason I went to the same surgeon for additional grafts was mainly because he was willing to do it for free. As a good gesture, I thought he deserved an opportunity to correct the problem. Should this does not produce acceptable result (I am already skeptical), I don't think I would go for HT. If I do, it won't be the same surgeon no matter what. However, my experience highlights the prevalence of incompetent "guys" in this industry.
  2. Thanks to you all. It appears that there really is no recourse. From that perspective, it appears that I was lucky enough to get the additional work done free of charge.
  3. I had gotten a hair transplant done by a physician who trabsplanted about 650 grafts a year ago. I am Norwood 3. Unfortunately the results were not that satisfactory and after hammering my complaint the surgeon again transplanted 250 grafts last week at no charge. Frankly I don't know the result it will produce. So assuming the revised HT does not produce satisfactory result can one sue a surgeon? Has anyone gone through this kind of frustration/anguish and what did they do?

  5. Here is a pictorial journey of my transplant so far. Total grafts were little over 600. I am currently on Proscar. My question is: Do you think I will be able to get to the picture on the right without any further sessions? In other words, do you think the hair will grow further to reach the way it looks on the right? The right picture is simply a little rendition in Photoshop. Thanks a million for your support!

  7. Dr. Feller, Thanks for your guidance. One quick question: Although it is too early to tell, in my grafted area there are short hairs (i.e., the transplanted ones) that are quite sparse. When I asked my surgeon (on follow-up visit) about it he said there are a lot of grafts that you don't see because they don't have hair sticking out. Is that a correct evaluation? I am concerned that the desnity of grafted hair may not be what I thought. Thanks for your help, Dr. Feller!
  8. I had a follicular HT three weeks ago (10/15/02) that involved over 600 grafts in the frontal area. Presently, I shower everyday and shampoo my hair with Neutrogena without rubbing the grafted area (where I just pat shampoo). My question is: How long should I wait before resuming normal shampooing i.e., rubbing the grafted area and blow drying my hair at warm setting? Thanks!
