  1. absolutley. I took lunesta.Ambien will be fine
  2. Good choice. I think you will be happy with his work. I had 2500 grafts a year ago with Dr. Alexander and could not be more satisfied. Very natural looking and you can't even see my donor scar. And I don't think you could of picked a better day. That day is also my b'day.
  3. I had 2500 graphs by Dr Alexander 7 months ago and am extremly satisfied at this point. I had dense packing done on the frontal hairline and it looks fantastic. Like an idiot I had 2 sessions done with Bosley some years back and Dr Alexander "repaired" my donor scar as to where it is virtually undetectable and planted graphs around where Bosley used big tools and made pits. Dr Alexander uses very small tools so when your hair grows in you can not tell the difference between your natural hair and the implanted hair. You will be very happy with the work he does. If you want, you can write me privately and I will be more then happy to talk with you further.
  4. Thx. Bill. Yey I have come a long way. I realy thought I was gonna have this circus clown look for some reason. You all on this forum kept me in check and even checked up on me constantly to see how I was coming along. In all honesty without this forum and my friends on it I am not sure where I might be right now. I got thru it, my hair looks great, my head feels fine like everyone said it would and recommend anyone comtemplating a HT to LISTEN to what these people are saying. They know their sh@#t. I can attest for that first hand. I am probably known as the biggest worrier ever! So Volvic, when we tell you you you can not go wrong with either Alexander or Shapiro, you can take that to the bank. No questions asked.
  5. Volvic, like many others have said, you can not go wrong with either one of these docs.I went to Alexander back in January after 2 terrible sessions with Bosley. I stressed and worried like crazy after my HT, as many others on this forum can tell you. They helped me as they will with you after your HT if need be. I can only speak for Dr. Alexander and I am totally satisified with his work and his post op care. He was available any time I needed to talk or see him. He even called me back from out in the woods on a hunting trip. I can honestly say that my HT is totally undetectable. But again,it depends on what your hair looks like now. If you can why don't you post some pictures and I'm sure we all can give you a better idea on what to expect. Like everyone has told you, these two doctors are fantastic.
  6. I can tell you from experience that Dr. Alexander gave me an undetectable hairline. I am 5 1/2 months out and it is dense and looks totally natural. I had 2500 graphs in just the front hairline. I am very happy with the way it looks and it is still very early.
  7. Hi Kaelen, I also went to Dr. Alexander 3 months ago. Though I have not seen any results yet I would highly recommend him. Depending on what type of work you need done, he does fantastic natural looking hairlines and dense packing. He is very maticulas and a perfectionist in what he does. I would at least set up an appointment and see for yourself. I know you will be impressed with him and his work.
  8. I would recommend Dr. Alexander. I went to him 3 months ago. He is very honest and a top notch surgeon. He does very nice dense packing and natural looking hairlines. I have not seen any growth yet but I expect, from the pictures I saw in his office, that it will look fantastic and natural. I also liked that one of his majors in college was art. He is very good with his hands. I felt very comfortable when he was working on my head. He also is an extremley nice guy.
  9. Joe, I couldn't agree with you more then 100% on what you wrote. I am so glade you wrote the truth about getting a H/T. I think you and I know first hand how these things really are. Just wanted to tell you that was an excellent and honest article. Take care and hope to hear from you soon.
  10. Just want to update you all on my progress with my tight scalp.IT'S ALL GOOD NOW!!!! 6 1/2 weeks later and all my tightness is gone! I want to thank everyone of you who replied and called me personelly to reassure me it will loosen up and be ok. WOW, I never want to go through that again. Total hell for me. I could not and would not have made it without all of your help. Now I just have to wait for the numbness to subside, but to me that is the easiest part. Oh yey, and wait for the hair to grow in too is kind of important. So, once again thank you all for reassuring me that I will be ok. I am glad I made all these new friends. I will post some pictures later on too. Thx. again.
  11. My doctor has me using foam rogaine. He says it will make the transplanted hairs come in quicker. I believe him as I feel he is one of the top docs in this field. Twice a day. Morning and evening.I am 6 weeks into my HT.
  12. Bill, most of my tightness is gone now! Mostly all numb now but can deal with that. 6 flippin weeks later. WOW. Thank you for all your support during this TOUGH time. Sometimes I had doubts about myself. I am off those xanax pills for anxiety. They are nasty. Give you suicidal thoughts. I am on a less stronger pill for now called klonipen. Much easier on your system.Again thx. for being there to SAVE MY LIFE and hope to hook up with you on the fon soon so we can talk. Thx. Bill.
  13. How could you handle the doner area being numb for nine years. Was it just along the scar or the whole back of your head. And how could Dr. Wong get your feeling back. I am confused what was wrong and what fixed it.
  14. Thx. for al your replays and some personnel fon calls. That was huge. Seems like all are inoe were inthe same boat and iyt just takes time. I am trying my best thanks to all of you to geta handle on this . I hope to be writing all of you later and telling you all is great.and I wwork for an airline so I will fly all of us to an exotic beach for free and we can all have alaugh and a good time. Thx. again you guys.
  15. Thx. for all your replys. I thought I was the only one in the world with this problem and it means alot to me that you write back and let me know it is normal and will loosen up and go away. Please keep up the words of encouragement as they help so much.
  16. Thx. nobuzz4me you're a real friend. Lifts up my spirits when you reply.
  17. So ultimately I am going to be fine with some time? I appreciate you all writing back to me. This is really tough. One day I have a 3/4 full head of hair and go in for a "touch up " on the frontal area and the next 3 weeks I want to crawl under a rock and disappear. Am I alone out there with this post depression and doner pain and numbness. I would love to hear from others that have experienced this.
  18. The mind is a powerful tool. I just have this awful nightmare that to much skin was taken from my head and it will never loosen up again. I don't remember it being this tight on the last two. But maybe that is because I got 2500 grafts this time. I guess what I am asking for is for everyone to tell me it will be ok and my head will feel normal again like it used to.You need to hear that from others who have gone thru what I am, not friends who say don't worry it will be fine, and they have never experienced this. I have never been one to take medication in all my 48 years but this has messed with my head so much that I am now on anti depressants and anti anxiety medication. I hate them but I am so worried that I am never going to feel the same again. Scared to death.
  19. Is it normal to feel tightness at the back of your scalp still after 3 weeks into a transplant. This is my third one with 2500 grafts and the prior 2 were 1200 and 800. i went back to my doctor and he said all is fine it must be jusy in my head. I am scared that he cut to much of a strip off. Will my skin stretch.I am really concerned and about this. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
