  1. I too started experiencing the same thing after 1 1/2 years . Two weeks after my surgery I was informed that my FUT incision was not completely sutured and left open. When I had the stitches removed, I had horrible scabs on each side of my head and in talking with my Dermatologist, he considers the over stretching of a persons scalp very risky to say the least and the chances of damage to your hair a considerable consequence. It is something he sees very often and all too common now in his profession. I can only wonder if over stretching had anything to do with my poor results and if it could play into what is happening now. After reading this thread and ones similar, and considering that no Doctors have chimed in with any reason or evidence as to why this happens, leads me to believe that Hair Transplantation is a gamble as much as it is a solution. Considering the amount of threads referring to problems and failures as opposed to success, the stakes seem high. Below is a link to a forum discussing the same topic. It is 5 years old and it might be a good read for some answers. https://www.baldtruthtalk.com/threads/5760-Transplanted-hair-receding-years-after-HT. Good Luck! Bald Mouse Blues
  2. Forgot to mention, use the blow dryer on low and at a distance pointing from your chin or neck up towards your hairline. Excess consealer will come off the frontal hair and help you creat a nice hairline. BMB
  3. I use Hair so Real. It costs so much less than any other brand and works well. A Goodson brand powder applicator allows for finite control in the hair line, so much that you can mimic a natural one. Use a super soft horse hair brush patting straight down on the frontal hairs and it softens the transition. A number 3 hold spray and you are good to go. I use this for many years and am still doing so 7 months post op from my surgery. I am hoping that there will be enough density so as not to have to rely on it so much, may a fine misting. Wish me luck as I do so for all of you. BMB
  4. I have a procedure with Dr Diep scheduled on the 25 of August. This site has helped me tremendously in knowing what to look for and what all to avoid. I chose Dr. Diep after consulting with two other Doctors, one being a coalition member and the other being a Doctor not very popular with the forum members. The results from his patients, now including the great one you are experiencing, lead me to choose him for my surgery. His hairlines are natural, but more importantly, he frames the face perfectly to the individual. That can be more important than density at least in my book. Thank you for taking the time and effort in sharing this information and helping those of us whom choose Dr Diep to do so confidently. Thanks to the moderators for this great site. BMB
  5. I think your hair looked great after the first 1800 grafts. It is thin, but natural and it took you back a few years. I had HT done many years ago when I was young and foolish. I was preyed upon my ignorance and had an HT done when there was no reason to. From looking at the photos on these blogs, most anyone here would have given the right arm to have the hair I did before my HT. After many years, it will be necessary for me to continue the process as I have begun to thin more. The technology has changed and I look forward to visiting with Dr. Keene and getting her assesment of the situation. If I could go back, I would never have had an HT and let myself go bald as the pattern is thinning all over an naturally. My older brother has the same pattern and he looks good just keeping his hair short. Having a nice even coverage, although thin, is a good look and you shouldn't stress yourself so much about your hair. It is a natural part of aging and the types of transplants that are pictured on these blogs show excellent results if I may say so. They make the patient look handsome, which is what you are looking for as opposed to the Don King thing. When someone tries to add too much density, the resullts are much less natural and look like they had an HT. Your going to look sharp when it is all said and done. BMB
