  1. Besides, as a patient, why would I attempt to make my hairline look any better than it is when if I was on happy with my hairline, I would be showing it as it is and explaining how I need to go for another hair transplant procedure. I never post to deceive. I do not work for a hair transplant clinic nor do I sell hair transplants. Instead, I am the managing publisher of this community and provide information and help to people who need it. I am perfectly fine advising people not to get a hair transplant if I think they are not a good candidate. I’ve done it dozens of times.

  2.  And what’s ironic, is it actually the pictures of the scalp from the top down angle that matter way more than a hairline picture. Hairline pictures are deceiving as even somebody almost completely bald can have a nice looking hairline but when somebody views the top of scalp, he can look incredibly thin. I think I’ve proven with the top down photos how thick my hair actually is. However, for you and any other critics, I will take some hairline photos  without any filters.

  3. Literalno,

I resent Your comments and don’t appreciate you trying to make it sound like I’m attempting to make my hairline look denser with filters when I only used a filter  on a couple of the face pictures because I thought they looked cool and I was using them on social media. I did not take those pictures special to share what my hair looks like. That’s what the other pictures are for. I can certainly take dozens of pictures and have showing my hairline as Melvin has already proven.

I am starting to get messages from various members claiming that you are a troll and likely another member who has already been banned. I have answered questions of yours and I’ve been very nice to you so I don’t understand why he would attempt to attack me on this topic. Personally, I really don’t care what you have to say  to me and I’m not offended because I have very thick skin. However, simply because of the way you present yourself, consider this a warning. If I see you continue to make derogatory comments towards anybody, you will be suspended.

  4. Thanks Sharan.

I don't think you have to wait until the balding process is "complete", especially since there's no way to predict when and where it will stop. However, it's important to work with a qualified surgeon who will plan, not only for a single procedure, but for the future and work with you to ensure you get the best results both short and long term.

Also, each strip scar is typically harvested new follicular units for transplanting during each procedure so you should only be left with one scar.

I strongly recommend, if you haven't already, to consider non-surgical treatments such as Propecia and Rogaine. These two treatments are typically quite effective in slowing down, stopping or even reversing the effects of genetic hair loss in a large percentage of men. I encourage you to research and discuss the possibility of using these treatments with a qualified hair restoration physician.

    Best wishes,

    Bill

  5. sharan,

Thanks for your interest. I've had a total of 4 procedures over a period of 5 years. I do happen to be blessed with a good donor area that's both elastic and contains dense hair. The good news is, not everyone requires that many grafts to achieve their goals.

Ultimately, the best way to determine what's best for you is to consult with a quality hair restoration physician. To see a list of physicians we recommend, click here.

  7. Dr. Nigam,

When we were speaking over email, I was highly impressed with the information you were presenting on hair stem cell transplantation. However, when it came time to produce photos showing real results, they came up lacking. The only photos you sent me that showed evidence of results were combined with FUE surgery. Thus, I'm not sure how anyone can tell which of the hairs grew from FUE hair transplantation or the stem cell procedure. Any results you showed me from hair stem cell transplantation alone did not produce any noticeable growth.

What are your thoughts on this?

  8. Dave,

Welcome to our community. However, your blog sounds a lot more like an infomercial than a genuine experience. I've also had to remove promotional content from your blog which is in violation of our terms of service, that you agreed to when you signed up.

Hair stem cell transplantation is questionable at best right now. Having spoken to several experts in the field, while the theory sounds great, nobody has been able to produce true before/after photos showing successful hair stem cell transplant results as a stand alone treatment.

Thus, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. If you are pleased with your results, I encourage you to post photos and all the details of your procedure.

    Best Regards,

  9. Jes,

Thanks for sharing a detailed account of your hair transplant experience with Dr. Carman. In my opinion, you've selected an outstanding physician and your results certainly show it.

I've taken the liberty of creating a topic on our discussion forum promoting your experience, blog and photos. You can view the topoic at ""Member Jes45468 Hair Transplant Experience and Photos with Dr. Carman".

  10. Bobw,

Congratulations on your decision to proceed with hair transplant surgery. Dr. Alexander is a top notch surgeon and a great guy. I trust you'll be in the best of hands.

By your blog, it sounds like you don't yet have a true understanding of how hair transplant surgery works. Thus, I recommend visiting the Hair Transplant Network website and reading all there is to know about the procedure. This will explain how the procedure works and how hair is harvested from the donor and sutured back up creating a thin, fine scar.

I also encourage you to ask your questions on our popular hair loss forum in order to maximize the number of responses from our community.

    Best wishes,

The closest physicians we recommend near Hong Kong are Dr. Pathomvanich of Thailand, Dr. Madhu of India and Dr. Radha Palakurthi of India. I strongly recommend consulting with each of these physicians and considering them for surgery.
