  3. hi, i have been on the combo of propecia and monoxidail 5% for 4 years.the 1 1/2 year was amasing.i had excellent regrowth in the crown and hairline.by the way i am 33 years old norwwod 3v.has i was saying,i had amasing results, but starting at the 2 year mark my hair graduallu came back to it's original state.the crown is back to where it was and the hairline is thinner.i always though that excellent results could obtain and maintain in the crown whit the combo.how is it that after 4 years i am back to square one??the crown is not worst then 4 years ago it is basically the same but i would prefer the having back the initials results.do you think that it will be the same problem with dutasteride?? thanks, lauz

  5. hi doctor, i am a 33 year old male.i started to lose my hair at 21 years old.the lose was only in the crown,so in 1994 at the age of 25 i got a transplant of 300 minigrafts in the crown.has you may imagine, the density and coverage is very poor and there is a lot of pluginess.4 1/2 years ago at age 29,i got on the combo of propecia and minoxidil 5% to add density to my thinning crown and to my temples who where beginning to thin.the initial results where amasing.the crown and temples filled almost to there original density.these results lated 3 years.now for the last 1 1/2 i have been thinning everywhere on top from hairline to crown.my crown and temples are worst then before treatment.why??i read everywhere doctors stating that propecia will stop the progression of mpb and maintain your haircount.what happened in my case and to several other propecia user wholived the same thing as me??today i am planning a hair transplant, but i dont know where to start.i have thinning everywhere on top.i would like to have average density everywhere.i have to do something soon, because the last year and a half have been hell for me.i want to fix my problem ounce and for all. lauz

  7. hi everybody, today was a big day for me.i had my consultation with doctor alain sabourin in montreal.he was very nice and honest.he looked my hairs over and told me that i did not need transplant in the hairline or temples and he said the thinning in the crown was not that bad.he looked at me donor area and said that i had excellent donor and excellent density.i told him that i wanted to had densety to the crown and temples.he told me that he would transplant 2000 hairs via follicular transplantation in the crown.he was very honest and told me that i might have telogen effuvlium.he doesn't seem to want to transplant in the temples because he doesn't want to damage my hairs.i tough that you could had density to a thinnig area without damaging the hairs??the other thing that i have found odd is that he does not calculate the transplant per graft but per hairs.when he told me that would transplant 2000 hairs,i told him that it would be around 1000 grafts,he told me that he did not calculate per grafts but per hairs.his this unusual??he gave me the phone number of clients that i could meet.the price was cheap i think.for 2000 hairs he charges 2000 dollars.i know that here in montreal and in quebec he is considered one of the best.he even did a live transplant on tv on a popular french celebrety.i am considering him for my transplant.but the one thing that scares me is that he doesn't seem to add densety to thinning natural hairs because he does not want todamage them, but when i look a doctor ron shapiro pictures i see that he can thicken existing hairlines and temples.what do you think?? thank, lauz
