  1. you guys know of any website where you can order nanogen cheaply? I'm gonna try and add it to my dermmmatch
  2. So I'm 5 months post-op and am ecstatic with my hair growth and the compliments I'm receiving. I have a new salt-water pool and have been outside in the sun swimming/tanning. Will this cause me to lose/damage my new hair?

  4. Hey guys, does using dermmatch cause any hair loss to your native hair or new grafts? I've been using dermmatch just on the weekends about once/week and when I apply it, there are always a few hairs on the applicator.

  6. Hey guys, I'm a little over 3 months post op and am starting to get growth over the transplanted area? Is it safe to start using dermmatch over this area now (I don't have to use dermmatch over the scar site anymore)
  7. Hey guys, I am a NW 5/6 and had 3006 grafts by Ron Shapiro on 1/21/08. My hair count was as follows: 1 hair- 1014 2 hair- 1556 3 hair- 422 4 hair- 14 So does this mean I had below average donor density since I had a very small number of 3 and 4 hairs? I'm just trying to figure out if I'll need a 2nd session or not. My weblog: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=580

  9. had lasik in late december...saw 20/20 the next day and I asked if I could read the 20/15 line....got them all so I see 20/15. Did leave a bruise on my eye that is commonplace and went away after about a week. Feel great....no more contacts....no problem swimming now.
  10. yeah, i have virtually no scabs now..maybe i mean the transplanted hairs, and not grafts.
  11. When are grafts supposed to shed? I'm at day 15 and still have most if not all of my grafts.

  13. notgoing2gobald, you win the award for funniest replies to a thread...
  14. i'm interested in this topic myself as i'm about to buy a house that has a salt-water pool in the backyard....was going to use it as an excuse to start swimming for exercise but if i should stay away for a while in case it harms my HT, maybe i'll just use the pool for the women???
  15. that's right...to see if it grows any crown hair or keeps any minimal crown hair that i have left....if it doesn't do anything within a year, i'll stop it.
  16. 1/21/08...some pre/post op pics: http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com/blog/home-page.asp?WebID=580
  17. ok, cool. Thanks man, it was just a little scary seeing the hairs and the white bulbs attached to them come off...lol. On a lighter note, on the bball court today, someone did comment about my staples and i told him I had surgery...that I fell....and he thought i was some tough guy at a bar fight...lol. i kept quiet.
  18. I don't have any bleeding whatsoever....donor scar/staples still hurt but today, as instructed, i began using the pads of my fingers to soothe the scabs on the top of my head. As predicted, the stubble/white stuff comes out but throughout the day, if i rub on my head, the little hairs/grafts? are coming out with the bulb attached to them...no bleeding however...does this mean i'm losing my grafts and need to not even mess with the top of my head when shampooing???? I really hope i'm not losing my grafts b/c of this.
  19. yeah man, i had it done last month and within 2 weeks, night glares from the lights were gone...it did take 2 weeks for the eye bruise/redness to heal..no pain though....and the procedure lasted like 8 minutes...i actually see 20/15 now which is unreal...only thing is...u should have a stable prescription for a while in order to get the best results....i.e. a ......-2.75 or -4 or whatever prescriptionb but one that has not changed in a good year or so....but definetly worth it
  20. yeah man, max we could get with a 1.425 cm strip cut was 3000...average donor density area but i do have coarse hair which apparently will make for illusion of more density. The pain killers are doing well but I only took 2 since I left....maybe I'll take one more before i go to bed. I'll be posting pics soon....i didn't bring a camera so ill get matt or janna to email me the pre/post op pics and i'll post pics monthly....gonna get on rogaine foam in about 2 weeks and continue propecia (only started it 1 month prior to surgery)...i wish i'd have started that sooner.
  21. Age 29, NW class 5...I'm sure I already know the answer to this, but man, the donor area is sore as hell, eh...hopefully, it'll only last for a day or two.
  22. First of all, I'd like to thank everyone who posts on this forum regularly as doing my research for the past few months helped me make a great decision for HT and let me avoid the hair mills. Dr. Ron Shapiro throughout my surgery today continued to make sure that I had every question answered, kept me comfortable/pain free throughout surgery, and all of the staff was top notch in honesty. I got 3006 grafts and am currently in the hotel feeling the pain but I guess that was expected. The doldrums are about to begin and apparently, that's the worst part of all this as the actual surgery day went by like a breeze. SMG definetly lived up to their reputation
