  5. Rafael, I am seeing the same problem. I don't know why the text is not automatically rolling over to the next line. I will ask Melvin about this.
  6. The groupings are listed above the first photo. Hair caliber was not directly measured, but was average.
  7. About 600 grafts to the crown, as his main concern was the front. I agree that changes in hair length can affect the appearance of the results, but there is of course no way to have the patient return with the same length hair.
  8. 42 year old man 12 months following FUT procedure to front and crown showing excellent growth. Total of 1061 1's, 1313 2's, 58 3's, and 0 4's for a total of 2432 grafts and 3861 hairs.
  9. 39 year old man showing six month growth after single FUT session of 326 1's, 582 2's, 56 3's, and 0 4's for a total of 964 grafts and 1658 hairs.
  10. Well, the transection rate with FUT is close to zero with the use of the Haber Spreader and microscopic dissection. With FUT we can directly visualize the hair follicles and thus preserve them. No FUE procedure can come close to that, as FUE is essentially a blind harvest. At the start of every FUE procedure, the surgeon will experiment with harvest angle, depth, and punch rotation, oscillation and more until grafts come out intact. But still, not all follicles in all areas of the scalp have the same orientation. My transection rate with FUE is 5-8%, sometimes less, and very rarely more. Yes I generally make recipient sites before harvesting grafts, so that my staff can implant grafts at the same time I am harvesting.
  11. 46 year old man six months following strip procedure to front and midscalp showing natural results and nice donor scar. Total of 462 1's, 1675 2's, 512 3's, and 13 4's for a total of 2662 grafts and 5400 hairs.
  12. 63 year old man six months following strip procedure to front and midscalp showing very nice growth. Total of 515 1's, 2084 2's, and 220 3's for a total of 2819 grafts and 5343 hairs.
  13. 38 year old man 12 months following FUE procedure to hairline showing excellent growth. Total of 296 1's, 636 2's, 496 3's, and 105 4's for a total of 1533 grafts and 3476 hairs.
  14. A total of 1800 grafts to the crown to get that density. Sorry no exposed hairline photos, as the patient did not want me to wet his hair and the hairs simply did not comb back. I'll try to convince him at the 12 month visit, but I only placed about 400 grafts to the hairline, as his primary concern was the crown.
  15. As with most things, it depends. One of the great aspects of HT surgery compared with say a busy Derm clinic is the opportunity to get to know our patients, which cannot happen in a 5 minute office visit. My techs do not talk to each other about what they're making for dinner or how their date was last night. Rather they are talking with the patient, and by the end of a long day everyone knows an awful lot about each other! I usually place about half of the grafts myself and enjoy learning about careers I never knew existed. I have become good friends with quite a few patients over the years. If a patient prefers to watch TV we offer all streaming services as well.
